Hi, I recently got back to gw2 and I missed most of season 2’s story, I would like to catch up but I don’t want the rewards so purchasing it with gems doesn’t worth for me, someone told me I could replay them in a party with someone who has the stories unlocked so I’m looking for a helpful player on the EU servers who has the time to replay the story with me
My ingame is selfi.8709, I usually play late night, like after 12 pm but sometimes I log in during the day too. (CET/gmt+1)
I see so much hate going on on this forum, I wanted to give a positive feedback because even with all those minor problems new pvp system is AMAZING, finally more people have motivation to pvp and it feels good to play for your progression on reward tracks (I already got an ascended ring from the first box!) So I want to speak on behalf on all those players who are actually happy and thank you ANet for your work, it’s appreciated.
As far as I know the current tp is across all servers and all regions (na+eu) but I’m not sure if china tp will be shared as well, is there any info about this? I’m just curious.
Is there any other way of getting those tokens required for pvp crafting besides the rank vendors (I don’t have any glory) and salvaging items because that’s my biggest problem with this “mainteinance patch” that I can’t craft the items I find nice-looking..
Well your probably too late now to get halo or horns skin by collecting heirlooms.
Also this entire Battle for Lions Arch is a bad patch, really annoying.
So to be honest, if I were you I would go to sPvP and play as much solo/team queue over the weekend.
Why you ask?
Because they have improved the rewards over this weekend, you get:-
Solo queue 20 supply bags, 1200 rank points and 300 glory .
Team queue is 40 supply bags, 1700 rank points and more glory.
The supply bags can contain mini magnus, 4+ different endless quaggen tonic + other nice loot.
You can also spend the glory on skins/20 slot bags other stuff.
Probably the most rewarding activity you can do in Gw2 this weekend by far, play solo or team queue. Don’t worry about losing too much, chances are in solo queue you will end up with a 50% win rate…
So just to clarify, those are the same supply bags that drop in LA which means I can get the spinal blades?
So it gives % damage foes below 50% hp, now my question is, does it adds up when you wear more runes at once like 2 pieces give 1%, 4 gives 2%, 6 gives 5% (might not be correct but doesn’t matter) so does it give 8% or 5% damage inrease with all pieces?
I run gs+s/p too and my survivability comes from blurred inscriptions + mender’s purity traited 10/30/20/10/0 – use the signet healskill, domination and midnight. Last utility is optional. I like portal. there is a build video in youtube that uses more condi dmg with staff and rampager’s. I just prefer gs and berserker amulet. Btw, this should be in the mesmer subforum. ^^
Maybe it should be in mesmer supforum but my problem is stricktly sPvP related so I figured I migh aswell aks here maybe this way experienced sPvP-ers are more likely to answer.
Anyway thanks for infos maybe I should try something other than shatter traits with this setup I’m planning to try to free up some trait points and get mender’s purity or look for other rune options.
So I play my mesmer mostly with shatter builds and recently I started using GS and sword+pistol (previously I used staff instead of gs) now I found GS to be really good for doing dmg at distance/while kiting but I have problems with survivability, my only source of condi removal is lyssa runes and previously with the staff I could kinda survive and I’m in great dilemma; should I just go back to staff or stick with gs…
So help me, how to optimize my build for more survivability (I have problems when focused with condis esp) while keeping gs or is it worth keeping staff over gs maybe switch sword/pistol for staff? I don’t know really…
Why is that if I set interface size to small the trading post texts are so messy.. I play on a fairly low resolution (1024×768) and small interface really is helping me but every time I want to use trading post I have to change settings, it just doesn’t feel right.
2, clones disappear if the target they’re summoned at dies also why do i need target for clone summoning? edit: not from balance viewpoint but I often just want to have fun with clones out of combat
Since you don’t cap a point faster when you’re capping with more than one guy, it doesn’t make sense to stay there with the other dude if no enemy is crossing to get your close.
If no enemy is in sight, why would you stay there with another player while your help is needed on another point.
It’s common tactics that e.g. 1 player caps close, while the rest goes mid or far. It’s ok for a second player to walk over close though, just in case the enemy invades. But if not, I understand why players get kitten ed if you stick next to them.
I hope you understand what I’m trying to explain and it didn’t sound harsh.
Oh I didn’t know you don’t capture faster with multiple players capturing that’s important info I guess.
Hello I haven’t been playing gw2 for very long but I started to do more and more sPvP because I really enjoy it especially the 5v5 solo arena mode but I’m a bit confused as how to play this mode correctly because it happened multiple times that my teammates said stuff like “why are u here” or “don’t follow me” “go away” etc.
So I would like to ask is there a meta or some general tactic in this game mode? I have no problem with fighting itself I usually beat anyone in 1v1 even 1v2 sometimes but I need advices regarding tactics.. (I play condition mesmer mostly)
edit: If anyone wonders, yes, I read the “new to spvp” and according to it I am probably this category: Far-Point Assaulter but I still find myself in situations where I’m not sure what to do.
Hello forum I found this topic to be the most relevant so I need help with the special vigil order light armor, I searched a bit on the internet and it seems I won’t be able to use it on my main character because I joined to the order of whispers however I think it looks really awesome with my human mesmer and I need help, is there any way I can get the look of it if I joined another order?
So I’m farily new (like I bought gw2 today new) and I noticed in forum posts that there is a trend using the term “kitten” for like everything, as verb, as adjective etc. Is this some kind of private joke?
Hello I’ve just bought guild wars 2 but I’m a little concerned about choosing the right server because I heard that low-level content (events mostly) are more fun with high population but I also wouldn’t like an overpopulated server and also main language should be English, oh and I’m wondering if all server started at once or is there a newer server which would be ideal?
