I thought I read somewhere in the GW2 news that once you completely unlocked an Elite Specialization on one character that it was account wide, does anyone know if this is the case, or do you have to run around for all the hero points on all of your characters to achieve this?

These were pretty good ones..

I bought a Captain’s Airship Pass to check it out – on the description it reads “Quick travel to all cities” as one of the features- but I could not find a portal or place to do so, does anyone know if there is a place on the airship to do this?

Also, on the Royal Terrace Pass, if you double click the pass does it teleport you there like the Captain’s Airship Pass or do you have to go to Divinity’s Reach first and gain entry with the pass through the gate?

For some reason, I seem to remember Mawdrey used to consume 5 × 50 bloodstone dust and now it’s 4.

Has anyone found a way to beat the Shadow Dragon (Living Story, Mystery Cave) on the second fire ring phase? Once I reach this phase I experience something similar to this player where the fire ring doesn’t stay lit for long and it doesn’t seem possible to light all the points:

By the time I’m able to light a third point the first two are already gone. I was able to complete the first fire ring phase no problem.

Thanks, the LFG worked. On my server people advertised many groups as “Teq taxi” to let people zone into the larger group instance- very helpful.

I was wondering if people had any hints for not getting stuck on the overflow map for Tequatl- I’ve gotten it several times in a row and with only a small group of people it’s impossible- the event doesn’t scale. I’ve tried showing up early, stationing a character out there, etc. It’s a waste of time since the event is every 4 hours.

After reading the GW2 wiki I’m still not clear on how rune effects work- do you get the cumulative total or the highest stat listed?

+8 to all stats
+12 to all stats
+16 to all stats

Would you get

+16 to all stats

or

+36 ?

I was testing the two of these out together and I did not see a movement speed increase- does anyone know if they are supposed to stack?

I looked around on the forums and was not able to find this-

I’m playing on a retina Macbook Pro (mid 2014) OSX 10.9 2.5 i7 and my character and other player characters are not displaying properly.

I have a friend who is playing a female human ranger who is sitting next to me on a Windows laptop and their character model shows up as a male (the portrait is correct though.) I noticed that the same model shows up for other players as well.

Also- my armor has not updated as I have acquired new items and looks like the basic character skin. On her screen (using Windows 7) my character displays properly with armor and her character also displays correctly.

Anyone know how to fix this? Image attached.
