Oh please no… adding these things to the gem store would make GW2 a pay to win game.
Please explain how it would make GW2 pay to win. seriously if all legendaries have the same stats as exotics and people are just paying for the cosmetic look how is it pay to win.
end game is about cosmetics not stats in GW2. So…..people win by getting the cosmetics they were working on???
yep or my grim reaper looking Ele. im keeping my scythe over The Bilfrost ((The Bifrost is surrounded by an ever glowing rainbow colored aura, leaving behind a faint trail of light when swung)) i feel your pain
Hey i think it would be funny walking around with a disco ball, but only from an RP stand point. Yes like 50% of the legendaries have crap effects. The scepter comes to mind.
come on. dont more people wanna see this happen
Thats what Invisable bags are for
yes i agree with this and will sight your petition
+1^
I totally agree that these exclusive items that people spend endless hours of hard work and dedication should not be readily available to anyone to spend $50 and instantly get.
End Game in this game is completly cosmetic based and not stat based and thats why i totally love it. Rather then spending hours grinding for slight upgrades in stats i get to find new and exciting looks for each of my characters. Having a large variety of customization options just makes players want to try more things.
Many players i have talked to dont bother grinding for a legendary simply cause they dont like the look or effect of their specific main weapon, but like effects of others, Twilight being a big one. Being able to take effects off a legendary and apply it to a different weapon might make more people start their legendary grind.
If we get more people to post and reply to this and other threads maybe the Devs will listen and add this feature
Just a brief backstory first.
In my months of playing guild wars i have been slowly gathering “Gifts” required for legendaries. The problem i keep running into is the legendary particle effects of the Weapon i want dont quite match up with the “Look” of my character, but i find that other legendary particle effects would be awsome if i could put them on my current weapons.
To give an example of a character look. Female Human in full Arah Dungeon Light armor dyed in Abyss Dye. The character looks evil and menacing and currently uses a scythe staff skin. If i were to use the legendary “The Bilfrost” my Evil character would be running around with a rainbow staff. That just does not mix in my books. Now imaging taking the particle effects off of “Twilight” and applying them on to the Scythe Staff, that would look evil.
I am suggesting that in the future we enable Transmuation Stones to have a particle effect addition and eventually allow us to simply Transmuate particle effects from one type of weapon onto another.
