Travis Johnson.9603’s suggestion fixed my problem w/ the updater ALWAYS launching. I put his file in my Applications folder, let it redownload any missing updated, and no more 1.11 updater on each launch Thanks!

Clearing the contents of your gw2 folder should work. Unless there is a new PayPal exclusive bug.

As mentioned previously I already did this and all of the other steps in the beginning of the post. I get errors for both paypal and credit card.

I’d be happy if either method of payment worked at this point…

If I try PayPal I get this:

I went through all your steps and it still gives me the errors.

Really hoping this gets fixed soon… some of us don’t believe in keeping Windoze in our houses

I’m still getting the error for cards or for paypal I did all the steps listed on top and none of this fixed it for me….

Any suggestions?

I think the best advice is to get a skill that gives you stability for a reasonable duration. Then you can’t be launched. Rampage as One for the ranger gives this skill.

A friend of mine suggested this as well to me since I’m using a ranger… best advice I’ve received for this quest by far. I can run to the middle with no skills just fine, but it was that second half that kept knocking me off. I tried Rampage as One and made it across no problem!
