saw Shaads thread was happy about it but they are on the american Servers. So i want to try this on Europe Servers. If there are enough ppl I will invite you to a Arena Guild but for this i’ll need some more ppl who want to organize something like this.

Do you allrdy have some ppl to organize this on the European Servers?
Respect! Not for giving away 100g. For creating a nice content for bunches of players. Hope you get lots of participation ;=)
In my opinion it’s far too often. If they’ll let the transfer at 1 week and also the matches in a 1 week rotation, than you have to get a bann for wvwvw from at least 2 weeks. As i think it over it should be a bann which moves around 1 month.
With this high banns from WvWvW it’s possible to get a certain balance in player numbers for WvWvW and stop the hopping to the winners site.

i want to know your opinion on this topic. Since a few weeks i try to get in some, … lets say oldschool fights. I am a small man pvper from the bottom of my heart, startet with DAoC and still willing to find nice little fights. Fights like 1v1, 2v2 even a 1v2 makes fun if it is a close one. As far as possible i stay at some places waiting for good enemies and good opportunitys. Mostly alone, sometimes with friend(s) who have the same need for nice fair fights than me. Part of that is that 1v1 stays 1v1 even if im losing. (Flipping a coin decides who is the lucky one who shall fight ;P)
First there are some good enemies on all sides but lately i feel a little to old for some ppl of the community, jumping and dancing on my corpse is something i can’t understand. Most times its also that i’m waiting on my spot waiting till the enemy notices me. An good old /bow expression of respect and also signal to willing in a fair fight. Even if the enemy doesn’t do the same, some/most are starting to run at me try to beat the crap out of me. And there starts the situation i love. If i die there is anything fine for me, if it had a good begining, if there wasn’t someone adding. I honor my enemy, thinking by myself: “Wow, nice one he is the way better player than i am.” The other way around mostly isn’t that pretty. They try to run away to the keep or the Zerg and turn around in the very same second they are sure to beat me with much more ppl/guards. They jump and dance on my corpse making me think that i’m just to old for this. I even got whispered and flamed. For gods sake how do they get my name? Sure there are some awesome players who were giving me hours of awesome fights and a lot of fun. Lately it gets very rare to find those players.
I want to know how u feel about this? Do you think there is a place for this way of thinking? And kitten can anyone tell me how they get my name to whisper me?

PS.: Is it allowed to create a thread stating where i am and inviting other players to join this place for nice little fights?
The thing about the door cata’s is that they are easily countered or killed.
You do not have to attack a gate with rams, you can use cata’s or treb’s from a distance.
In many keeps / towers you can also take out the cata’s with siege.
A good example are orges / anzalins. If you build a balista outside orges on the orges you can kill any cata placed inside unless it is pretty much on top of the door, and if its on the door you can kill it with normal AoE.
For Anzalins you can arch your cata’s shot through the space above the door if you time it right hitting anything / everything inside, or you can build a treb on the cliffs and rain death from above.
Cata’s are not that bad, I actually think they make players try harder and play better. Without them zergs would just run through the keeps even faster.
There is one question bothering me. In Beta my guild startet to shoot a keep gate with a catapult, the wall besides the door collapsed way before the gate. Unless it is like in beta i cant understand why some ppl start fireing on keep gates, instead of keep walls, with trebuchets or catapults. Is there just some trick i dont see?

Hey folks,
since a while its practciced to place catapults behind the own Keep/Tower Gates and firering on them to disturb ppl on the outer side of the door from destroying it. I want to know how you feel about this way of using Catapults.
In my opinion it should be removed or changed cause it feels kinda odd to shoot at my own keepgate or getting disturbed by one doing so.
Suggestions
1. the own door takes damage, but this will surely invite griefers of destroying keep doors
2. the shot impact should just not pass through the closed door.
Tell me your opinion on this thing and make suggestions.
