Lack of contests for international players

I am just frustrated with the lack of promotional contests for international players. For a game that is supposed to be played worldwide, it appears any promotional contests are targeted only to reward players from the US and 2 or 3 other neighboring countries.

A recent example, the Fanforge.

Understandably, US is the largest demographic, and it appears that ArenaNet only considers the US as a target. It honestly feels like loyal players from Europe, Asia, and Oceania are taken for granted

It’s better then that if the only valid participants in the contests are US citizens, don’t send us emails anymore of those contests.

Btw, also finding the variety of designs by iam8bit in the GW2 shop lacking. Fanforge would have been a great venue for creative international fans to show their love for the game and market alternative design ideas. Design ideas that really speak to the fans, what they would really love and be proud to wear or bring in everyday life. Usually the quirky designs are what attract non-players to be curious about the game and eventually try it, but apparently such designs are non-existent in the official shop now and there is no other way to contribute to that.

Just bothered by the copyright thing, but I may just have to find a way to market my love for GW elsewhere.

Jumping Puzzle

I like so far that GW2 gives us a choice on how to go about with completing quests and all that stuff, encourages collaboration, but apparently this jumping puzzle as a requirement is not really good and encouraging to us casual players.

Unfortunately, not all people are good with jumping puzzles, just like me. I understand that while it seems you can master this puzzle after an unknown number of tries, it just doesn’t work for us who are not good at jumping puzzles for several reasons:

1. Really not that good at jps, especially with timegated ones (like, disappearing platforms like the snowflakes after 1 second)
2. Some of us have work and school, even at the holidays, so not much time to practice over and over again.
3. Those with carpal tunnel syndrome, so we really couldn’t do the same thing repeatedly all over again for practice at an extended number of time.

We really wouldn’t mind farming the reward instead as an alternative to getting the Snowglobe for the Winter Shoulders.

Request: Bring back vendors for old tickeets

Hey Anet, can you bring back some of the old vendors to trade in old content?

Favor of the Festival, blade shards, Queen’s Gauntlet tickets, scarlet’s keys, festival ticket scraps, fortune scaps even from last year, etc.. it’s really frustrating them taking up the space on our bank and we even still receive them whenever we mine or open up chests.

We don’t even know if you’ll bring those events back (or at least their NPCs) that’s why we’re forced to keep them around and save ourselves from the pain of re-grinding for them again.

Like this previous festival, I am rather surprised that there are no Sovereign Weapon merchies anymore, not even extended for at least even a week, for players who weren’t able to trade in their claim tickets and tokens during the festival. So unlike Guild Wars 1 where the vendor stays around for a bit even after the event has ended.

So can you bring back those vendor NPCs even just for a limited time please? Or at least a one week after event period?
