I like that once and a every while we get a dev response on this but I hope they read this. make precursors non tradeable just like legendaries and make a clear path to get them that way it would be more legendary and less like a joke. its seriously the only part of this economy that doesn’t make sense. its suppose to be an achievement and people just buy it or randomly get it like the lottery which isn’t legendary. the complaints are that they cost so much and are so rare. supply and demand is broken cause they are rare but for the wrong reasons. you shouldn’t be able to trade them in the first place. that defeats the purpose of earning it except if you consider you buy gems and convert them to gold which is probably what Anet wants. This economy shouldn’t have to stay afloat on legendaries.

by the time the devs address this issue it will be too little too late. from the looks of their silence i am not sure they are even reading this massive thread anymore. they wont close it cause its official though;-)

replace rng with skill. skill will keep them legendary and away from the masses of gw2:-P skill could be beating some impossible soloable boss or dunguen or something like that. rng and market profiteering are what make people mad as hell

this note is insufficient. it doesnt solve any problems it just says they read the forums. how is allowing this price manipulation and price hiking of legendary precursors ok? i have read alot of forums on this topic and there aren’t alot of people that like the rng of this process and considering this…why aren’t the developers changing it? i mean if everyone hates a system you put in place then change it right?

this needs to be addressed. anet controls the supply and demand of items all the time. for instance with the temporary recipes to clear up some of the cheaper ingredients on tp that were undervalued. They should increase the drop rate of legendaries to drive the price down and keep people from price fixing. I work very hard for my gold but to get lucky and get a dusk and sell it for 200g thats not balance thats flat out stupid. Anet needs to address this. can we get an official statement on the game economy?

hey anyone else think that anet should do something about the price inflation? i mean seriously there is so little supply that people are just gaming the prices and jacking them up. just saw a dusk posted on tp at 199g…thats insanity. and you know what before you know it all the order buys will be at 200g…i understand they are rare but players are monopolizing the short sale of them to buy and upsale them till they are impossible to get. anet will you please respond. can you guys tweak the supply cause from an economic standpoint these items are way out of even sane. i work very hard for my legendary and have already dumped 300g into my components…

Get rid of more bots when they die from normal play by adding to all players the much needed feature of request to revive like lotro has. Someone revives you and them you click enter and u revive. To eliminate bots this would change places on the screen each death so u would need to click it to revive. Good luck creating a bot that could revive from this. This is my creative solution please read this devs.

anet can we get some clarification on things for high level players. It doesnt make sense why some markets like legendary precursors are so out of sync with the game economy. one player can spend 8 days farming or i should say playing for gold to get lets just 80 g if they are good and play all day and another player lands a rare drop for a precursor or mystic forges it or buys it in tp and up sells it. the result anet is that legendary precursors are 100g + which is insane for normal players. you have people price manipulating that market of legendary precursors just to make a profit and in doing so are making them more expensive everyday. i know players who have made 400g + on them just doing this and that is in my opinion messing with the economy. They are smart to make profit like that but you have to agree that is really messing with the game economy? legendary precursors shouldn’t be some high stakes gamble or rich man’s game to get them. they should require skill. the legendary weapon formula already requires dumb luck with mystic clovers? why do this. thanks

Im sorry anet but the system is broken. i can only do certain dynamic events that really pay off in the ruins of orr at level 80 and if i do them for more than 30 mins…you kill my loot and karma to 0. do you want me to play less. I have read alot of forums about this and everyone iskitten You cant say legendaries are a huge grind but dont grind. and there is only one level 80 zone. the reason people are farming the ‘holy trinity’ in orr is because they have waypoints in them making it accessible to everyone. all the other dynamic events in orr are either broken or hard to get to…most arent chained correctly. so people farm the same events. And I sit at my computer the whole time i play im not a bot. If you want to get rid of bots find a new method but don’t punish normal players for enjoying content. I need right now upwards of 250 g more for my legendary. any ideas how to do that in a reasonable amount of time with this code? thanks.
