I really hate, that there are only coats for males and not one that shows a little more skin.
It would be nice to finally hear an answer on that. Is this planned already or what is the sutuation?

I think what Travlene posted was spot on, there should not be any further discussion. You mentioned thieves ability to spam, and he countered what you said by saying we don’t, EVERYONE else does. As Travlene mentioned — one can easily see this by comparing the amount of attacks a thief can dish out in 10 seconds, versus any other class. By adding in the ‘negative int’ phase for a thief, you’re only reducing the amount of skills we can use by a larger amount.

If you’re a veteran thief you should know better than you suggest this, or even think it’s a great idea to implement.

How would it reduce the amount of skills you can get off with your initiative if it actually adds one more skill to it. Only difference from having actual bigger initiative pool is that you have to w8 till that borrowed initiative is returned. So when it comes to spam that you are afraid to lose, you actually would be able to spam even more with this until you get into “burn out state” (use more initiative then you actually have).

As the title suggests I want anet to bring back the flamewalker light armor asap. People can argue the validity of putting tier3 cultural reskins on the gemstore all day, but (and this is where i have a real problem) putting it up on the gemstore then taking it off one or two days later is even worse!

After saying all of that I already own the tier 3 cultural armor… on my necromancer and love it. Buying it on the gemstore for my other toons does not in any way get rid of my pride of owning it. I really wanted it for my norn mesmer. I was angry at first but I was open minded and changed my mind to really like the idea. I’ve always wanted human cultural tier armor on my norn. It makes absolutely no sense why cultural weapons can be acquired a few ways by other cultures but armor can’t. It was a gorgeous armor set and because I don’t get paid till Friday I missed out. Again I’m not arguing if it should have been on the gemstore or not in the first place, I’m arguing to put it on, then take it off is seriously wrong. Also this is not the first time cultural armor was available for other races but anet patched that up too, another oh well you missed out situation.

I was going to buy that armor set for at least 4 of my toons, my female human necro, my human male ele, my norn female mesmer, and my human female ele. Again I already own the t3 human armor on my necro, and can buy it on two of the other toons listed, but I really wanted the flamewalker because it was simply an amazing skin. Money both in game or real life would not be an issue. (A side note: why does the male t3 armor look so bad but the flamewalker version looked so amazing) So that’s 3200 gems I was planning on buying tomorrow but I guess anet doesn’t want business and likes it when their customers are mad at them. Granted people were already mad at them for putting it on the gemstore but now a lot of people are also mad at them for taking it off (way to kitten off everyone) Caved in to people who qq on forums, glad they don’t do that for everything every class would need buffed and nerfed 24/7.

Simply unfair and not cool. Was thinking about buying the toxic alliance armor too but idk now, they might take that away too.

Whatever, man. Look, I gotta admit it: the skill level required to get excellent results on a warrior is so incredibly low as compared to a thief is absolutely kittening ridiculous, and yet it’s the thieves that keep getting nerfed still. I’ve written so much about the thief and how to counter it, and have even provided ANet with the means of mathematically proving its balance, and not only have they completely ignored me, but they have in fact swayed with the mindless sheep droning on without end because of their own lack of skill.

Personally, I’m still going to play thief. I’ve played thief since I first got the game, and I find every other profession far too boring to even touch (excluding, maybe, mesmer). I also love the mobility that I get on my thief. I will, however, say one thing in particular: ever since necros became OP, I’ve been playing full zerker gear, which is optimal against condi builds but is generally more fun to play anyways. Since then, however, the purpose has shifted from being directed against condi builds to being against ridiculously OP warrior builds in general. If I don’t run zerker, I don’t do any damage and I get smashed anyways. If I do run it, then I take a huge risk that relies entirely upon my own skill while my opponent facerolls the keyboard. I do an insanely small amount of damage while having to stay at a range and time my dodges well. On the other hand, if I get hit more than once or twice, I’ll probably just drop dead.

I also now have to run 3(!!!) stun breakers as well + shadow return along with immobilize/cripple/chill breakers via Shadow Returns, Withdraws, and Roll for Initiatives at suboptimal times. I still run my 10/0/0/30/30 build, but the amount of effort in order to get anything done is almost ridiculous. Furthermore, guardians have now become so ridiculously difficult to kill that I usually take only two or three stabs at them before I decide to simply walk away. I’ve seen groups of 5-10 people in WvW unable to take down a guardian easily because of how stupid they are right now.

But no, ANet, thieves, of all professions, are completely OP.

No, animals bite sylvari all the time, but don’t become poisoned. I don’t understand, why mosquitoes and predators try to eat sylvari, but when they do it, they do not harm their health.

Idk most things that bite my sylvari tend to end up dead very quickly

Good day everyone,

I’ve been meaning to post this video here for a some time now, just never got around to it. I know many people have asked me for an updated version of the “terrormancer” as you call it. So without further ado…

Guild Wars 2 – World vs World guide part I: the PvP conditionmancer

Do not be alarmed by the size of the video, in the first few moments of it you will encounter a table of content/menu designed for an easy and comfortable viewing experience.
Who ever wishes to get the quick information from it can simply browse through the categories… and those who wish to understand all there is to know about the PvP conditionmancer can sit back and enjoy…

In this video i took a different approach to build creation… I’ve went way out of my way in order to create a guide in which you learn how to make your own WvW builds, based on certain principles that can be observed in the PvP and WvW environments.
Of course i also added my own version of the WvW build (the updated terrormancer) as a conclusion/result of simply satisfying all the conditions that needed to be satisfied in order for you to truly “own” in a WvW environment.

FINAL STATS:

48% Critical Strike Chance
1734 Condition Damage
50% Condition Duration / 65% Bleeding Duration
100% Fear duration
2784 Armor
19,658 Health
30%+ LifeForce Pool

+ the capability to fight multiple opponents at the same time

This new way of doing things, while it is a great effort… has brought me a “burst” of positive feedback in the day since i uploaded the video… so i really hope you guys enjoy as well.

PS: I’ve already discussed these facts with some people in the comment section, i know i have let some things out, i know i have oversimplified some aspects of WvW…
As i stated… this is more of a base to start on, a correct approach to WvW and WvW build crafting, a good starting point…
Part II of this guide is on it’s way… and part III will contain all the advance tactics aimed at those people who have already mastered the first two parts.

Thieves on sPvP are handicaped:

1- We get one extra second for Revealed (that Kills, a LOT)
2- Burst Damage isn’t that high on Spvp (damage drop from 7k to less than 5k with close builds)
3- Slower moving speed makes stealth more predicable.
4- We are a “killing-speacialist” class playing a conquest game. I prefer to not comment on the side effects.

Its common knowledge that even if we are Strong on WvWvW, thief is crap for sPvP unless using some very specific builds (and they still sux).

Whatever, I am still aiming for my Champion Shadow buff.

Thiefs need no nerfs, they need some specific buffs in various points in regard of their overall gameplay that forces players currently to play thiefs only with like 1 to 3 builds maybe to play this class effectively enough to win with them something at all

Thiefs need a serious redesign that improves ther overall steal and venom gameplay and completely their versatility that totally LACKS by allowing thiefs to steal more oftenly than only once every like 30 seconds or so and turning silly obsolete utility skills like venoms into the thiefs main mechanic for F2 to allow them to use every now and then via that venom skills that will change the effects for their whole weapon skills corresponding to which kind of venom you are using for the moment to improve the versatility of the thief class massively, so that they don’t have to rely themself so extremely much on stealth permanently to survive!.

Thiefs underwater gameplay sucks totally, it needs improvement by changing half of the thiefs skilsl by making them also usable under water or by changing the effects of specific thief skills, so that their effects work similar.

Think on the Ele’s Tornado, that changes under water to Maelstrom. The same way should get changed thief skills, some of their skills should change under water instead of simply becoming not usable there.

The durations of stealths have to get increased significantly, so that you can really play out the thiefs role as an infiltrator finally being unseen laying alot of traps and trying to gather enemy information and stealing alot of things to use all this against the enemy being the kind of silent deathly “guerilla warrior” type of class on battle fields, that thiefs should be alot more like together with their great arsenal of various deathly venoms that should allow them to handle enemies in a lot of various ways and make them more versatile in their usage of their chosen weapons and builds, that there will be more than just only full berserk or full condition thief!!

The counter balance for increasign massively the steath durations and removing the ridiculous revealed debuff would be by implemented “Detection Skills/Traits” for specific fitting classes like Rangers, Guardians and Engineers as also Thiefs self, because as masters of stealth, they should know best how to find enemies that are of their same profession by changing stealth into something visually to them, that looks more like moving into some kind of “shadow realm” between that they can cloak in and cloak out and follow that way enemies.!

In example:
If an enemy thief stealths in front of you and you stealth then also too with your thief, then you can see again the enemy thief, because both of you are then in the same “shadow realm” kind of parallell reality.

This is then also helpful again for any allied player in a group, because a group member can see where your allied thief is moving around and guess what that means ?
Right, for your party members it becomes this way easier to predict where the hidden enemy is to use either AoE skills at the place where your hidden thief ally is or use detection skills as for example as a ranger by letting your pet sniff around the near where your thief ally moves around at the moment in stealth to follow the hidden enemy.

Something that would improve also group play and group communication between group players in GW2, if the game would get improved that way…

The thief mechanics aren’t using the full potential that lies in the class to become something really awesome and fun to play. Currently the class feels like only giving 50% of what the class could potentiall do all and how versatile that class could be.
Epsecially when you think what all for options and potential lies in this game, if GW2 would ever get improved by implementing something like Sub Classes with that players would be able to specialize their classes more.

Oh how much I’’d love to see the day coming where i’d be able to specialize my Thief either into a Rogue, an Infiltrator or into a Saboteur to improve the various kinds of different gameplay mechanics that the classes offers and choose something to specialize into to make my character become more unique and feel finally some kind of CHARACTER PROGRESSION in this game that improves my characters options of weapon skills, adds more traits and all such things, which is GW2 absolutely lacking in the game currently totally sadly …

Desolation. A land cast in shadow. Carrion birds perch in the branches of a forest of twisted whispering woods while red and yellow eyes watch each other from the shadows of thorny brambles.

In the center of a clearing a once mighty oak withers. The fading King of the Forest droops and sags next to a great gnarled tree. The soft and rotten paper of the oak seems to undulate moments before a cloud of locusts burst forth out of it. In the wake of the locusts; grubs, maggots and beetles spill out and feed on the red sapped corpse of the fallen king. The wind goes still in the forest.

Ages pass and in place of the wormy wood of the fallen oak, lay a pile of mulch. Slime and moss cover the heap as it reeks of disease. Finished but unsated, another time of time passes as the worms work their way toward the Great Gnarled Tree. They attack its scarred bark in a feeding frenzy. Crimson sap races down its tough exterior in long rapid paths as they burrow in. The Great Gnarled Tree bends and groans. Twisting and turning, the branches fill the shadowy heavens with the sounds of thunder. From the North the ancient wind; not seen since the Age of Oak, returns with a vengeance. A swarm of locusts is swept away as it tries to shield the worms from its wrath. Blistering and dry, ancient and terrible, wind strikes worm. Shrieks arise as worms and carrion birds and forest creatures wither beneath the gaze of the Gnarled One. Blood runs from orifice in a hard poetic judgment. All that’s left is ash. Swept up by the wind and scattered through branches and thistle.

I took a step closer to tend to the great gnarled trees wounds and found writing. Carved in bark and wood, wreathed in crimson sap were the teachings of Ventari.

As I marveled at this, I saw the earth tear open starting at the base of the Gnarled Tree. The trees roots sprang from the ground running northward. Through the whispering forest; twisted trees were cast aside, carrion birds took flight and glowing eyes scrambled to more peaceful underbrush. I looked and behold, the great Gnarled Trees roots were intertwined with an even Greater Pale Tree. The Gnarled Tree thrived in the shadow cast by the great Pale Tree and I understood. In the twisted forest created by worm and locust, only the hard, twisted and thorny would thrive. Only strong roots could grow and only chocking weeds would survive.

I got a piece commissioned from a freelance concept artist/illustrator (tcloreart.com), featuring my main character, Kaila Mistblade. I asked for something related to the Branded, because of reasons.

It’s not finished (just the main character’s upper half is mostly detailed but everything else is as it was in the initial sketch), so there’s a while to go until the full thing is done. However, I’m blown away already.

as my original post says, the summoning mobs seem to summon to many and/or are so close together that they all pull at once, ending in me getting slaughtered. i had one dredge suit that had 7 dredge summoned in that mission (dredge assult, in the norn personal story) i can normaly dodge 1 or 2 of them but the rest just knock me down. and garrentee that i get no hits in before im downed.

Thanks, that’s extremely useful info. The dredge suits can summon up to 5 minions, but you also have a half-dozen Vigil soldiers with you. If you’re running in and aggroing all 5 minions and the suit, you probably need to slow down. I just completed this without getting hit at all during the suit attack by letting the Vigil wade in, then I picked off the suits at a distance. (I tried it with an engineer.) Most of the NPCs did get killed during the fight, but they can rezz each other, so the entire group was back up for the cave exploration step.

yeah my entire group of NPC’s got killed with the first group of dredge and always did, but i finaly beat it after upgrading ALL of my gear to vit gear just so i could live long enough to actualy hit something. and yes when i say all i mean every single Piece. also i skipped the suits. stealth ftw.
