….(or maybe they couldn’t due to time constraints or age ratings)…
You answered your own question.
I’m more like wishing this missing content rather than wondering why it wasn’t in.
Just hear me out. In a chaotic, surprise attack like this there’s a ALOT of tragedy that goes on and I feel ANET didn’t really put it in (or maybe they couldn’t due to time constraints or age ratings). I mean everything is burning, poison is in the air, and scarlet’s forces are out to kill…
But i felt there was something missing.
I feel there was a lot more ambient conversation and actions that could have occurred as you went out to rescue citizen to enhance the chaos of not only the environment, but the people as well.
You could run across parents digging they’re kids out of the rubble and refusing to evacuate. A person kneeling and crying next to their dead lover. A citizen under rubble and moaning for help before dying. Hell, even better, you see the raisin asura kid is trying to help pull out the “squish-headed” charr outta rubble, and him telling him to leave him before dying.
WHERE IS ALL THAT?
Instead, we just get a bunch of scared adults crying in a corner and you have to blow an invisible horn while humming some SIMS gibberish to them to get them moving.
Physically, i feel that the chaos and attack is excellent considering that everything you’ve known in LA is burning and gone. But when it comes to the emotions and interaction between the npcs and victims of the attack, it’s completely lacking and doesn’t really want you to save them (other than getting your prizes). When i first went into the event when it first came on, by honesty, I didn’t even think about saving citizens until A LOT later. But if some of the citizens, say were crying for their loved ones or moaning for help, I could tell you I’d feel like crap if I didn’t try to help them even though this was a game…
FIVE DELDRIMOR STEEL INGOTS!?! Am I the only one who thinks that’s insane for a “banner” that only lasts for 5 minutes with a 1 hour buff? How much are the ingots going these days?
I assume you’re gonna post some short story about her? I mean I’m surprised you just have her suddenly pops up outta nowhere during the Living World and (kinda) knows Braham without any back story. Cool that she rides on her golemn’s shoulder (It’d be even cooler and cuter if she rode on Braham’s).
Just hear me out. It’s kinda worthless because, well, if anyone wanted to relive the scene again they could just watch it on youtube or something >.>. I personally think a jade ticket would have been more appropriate considering the work and guarantee for everyone to get one of the rarest drops in the event.
