Not sure if that was you, but were you the thief I laughed at all night cause you kept running away and stealthing? I hate when thieves don’t wanna play…. well unless they have 1-2 other thief buddies around. I will say very good HoD thief from HD guild, never backed down and was tough to kill.

Was/has there ever been any discussion on either of these topics? Both seem like something that would fit in extremely well with this game.

Especially a guild hall to house things earned from Spvp/WvW or something.

I’m just wondering if Sanctum sprint and the back pieces that are awarded as not soulbound/account bound, will be around forever.

Just trying to figure out if investing in a few of them for later down the road could be lucrative.

This is going over the heads of pretty much everyone in the thread outside of the typical 3-4 groups that enjoy small group play……………we could give two kittens about wiping zergs. We just want to be able to punish the zerg play style, and the mechanics discourage this…..WHY YOU ASK???? So we get more people in smaller groups, encouraging challenging and coordinated gameplay.

Again, another DAoC example. 8 – mans originally formed with pbaoe bomb groups. To zerg bust, and the mechanics enabled it. Soon, other groups realized this was possible and split off into 8 mans too. Next thing you know there were 20 8 mans running around trying to zerg bust. They would run into each other and realize that was way more fun, and the meta switched to assist trains. It developed into a thriving 8 man scene and guess what……the zergs still got to play their game too. It was just that the mechanics allowed BOTH to exist.

In GW2 there is absolutely no downside other than sheer and utter boredom to zerging. And if you people are too niave to see the lack of longevity in this mindless keep trading that is promoted……..you will soon realize when the FIRST new option comes along and you are stuck running around with 5 people total in the entire borderland.

Alright, haters gonna hate… but I think it’s time someone finally manned up and said this.

I’ve been to many fight clubs, and I’ve been to many servers. There are some extremely talented players here. I got my rear handed to me last night in a few duels. The quality of some of the guilds here is pretty stellar. So, I’ll just admit some notable names I’ve seen around the battlefield. Tip of the hat to.

SPCA, SPLT, XOXO, Tm for NSP and for GOM I’ve only really seen some good fights from Raven Hold.

This is a great match up, and I’m enjoying it…. though realizing I need to step my game up and learn something other than D/D thief lol. (Sorry for caps/spelling)

It was obvious I was trying to get a fair fight with someone, and thank you to the XOXO Mesmer that finally did it.

All crap talking aside, there were a “couple” of good fights. I was really wanting to get a fight with that thief because we had a couple of, what were basically duels, get interrupted by one party or the other.

But hey, those variables are what keep WvW at least somewhat fresh, so, oh well.

JW … I haven’t seen a single stand out player in this match up. The only noticeable things are a few tank builds that just draw fights out and still lose.

Hey there, I think you’re talkin about me. I honestly don’t remember if I hit you first or you hit me, but I initially was trying reduce your group numbers. I noticed at first you put up a good fight, and then you downed me a couple times. After that, I really wanted to single you out for a fight.

I liked how we both separated from the groups for a 1v1, after a stare down of course. Good times. Unfortunately my allies showed up and ruined our fun. I kinda wish ANET would implement a dueling system. Hard to get 1v1’s out there in WvW, and I feel like I could use the practice.

You’re really good, and you convinced me to start using Basilisk Venom. I figure I’ll use it for small group skirmishes and Dagger Storm for large group battles. I hope to see you more, I never shy from a challenge.

Haha yeah some good fights. It was pretty funny/epic because of the huge fighting around us, yet we still kept going at it.

I run dagger storm 9 times outta 10 especially when we’re grouped like that. I switched to basilisks just for you after our initial encounter. I figured we would see each other again… and BS venom can turn tides in a thief 1v1.
