Nah I got dropped by 5 maybe 6 of you at a sentry then jumped on so I just logged, I don’t care that I died it happens while solo roaming but guilds like that remind me that it’s not worth roaming anymore in anything less than a zerg.

But like I originally said, [BTsy] are pretty good, just don’t see why you trash yourselves with the corpse jumping after you gank 5:1..

Op, It has been a problem since day 1; you are not alone in your Frustration.

Since the seasons have started, or that patch, it has been consistently and considerably worse.

It’s unplayable in its current state for me.

For some reason WvW always has just a tad bit of skill lag for me now, and I don’t know why.

Anyone else have this problem, it’s very frustrating.

Gotem, you did read the part where I said…“a few people are not representative of the whole” right? Otherwise I’ll assume all you fellow guildies from SKIL are dishonourable duellists, /bowing one moment then going around backstabbing spectators when they become preoccupied with something else. As was the case today with one of your thieves. So I ended up 1v1ing out of revenge for the dishonourable kill, and got the upper hand before FC ran in and ruined the fun.

Obviously that was an isolated incident sparked by a misunderstanding, but a less understanding soul would be making lions out of the kittens and claiming all of SKIL are bads who can’t win without resorting to dirty tactics. That kind of generalisation isn’t fun when you’re on the receiving end right?

I’ll reserve judgement until I am part of the group you miraculously wiped. Also note, small man engagements are a whole different beast to zerg busting and medium group vs group fights, and I did emphasise that we aren’t top notch duellists or 3 man pew pew teams. If I was deliberately roaming with a small man team, I’d be taking the rangers and thieves, which will easily squish the team builds TFH is running when we wvw in an equal fight or even outnumbered. That’s an entirely different story and bears no relevance on the original point.

It should also occur to you that since we’re running as a team, it shouldn’t be too surprising when the rest of the team runs over you after you picked off the scouts or stragglers. That’s kind of their job.

I’m glad you find my responses so hipster, but I’m rather insulted you think it takes me that long to type it up. I have to write 1.5k word essays in 40 minutes for upcoming academic exams, so I like to think that I’m picking up my game for that by practising the necessary skills here.

Also, am I the only one experiencing strange delays/lag/fps drops and just general weirdness since the last patch? It’s really really frustrating to play right now, even when there aren’t that many players around, but much worse when there are many.

Why do we receive such little content compared to the rest of the game?

I planned on making a long post, but now I’d honestly just like an accurate response from a Developer as to why WvW receives almost no attention compared to the other aspects of the game.

Most games get you excited about a patch, but if you’re a GW2 WvW player… you’ve probably just learned to fear patches and expect them to break rudimentary aspects of the portion of the game we love.

That doesn’t seem fair or right.

Is there really no other way to foster competition within WvW other than the lame Zerg point / cap dynamic?

Why don’t we have or will we ever have the ability to track our individual and or Guild participation and statistics in WvW?

A leaderboard like the Camelot Herald would be nice.

As it is, WvW just feels like a big play ground with no consequences or recognition for not being bad.

Just zerg – zerg – zerg… then your server may win, what do you or anyone else get? Nothing.

Im starting to feel like I need to make a new math heavy thread about how to properly add defensive stats to your build again. All 3 other people who suggested it in this thread are doing it inefficiently and giving up more damage than they need to.

What is inefficient about my builds..?

You get more damage reduction and EHP from Soldiers compared to Valk, and you can achieve higher EHP and Damage mixing Berserkers and Soldiers than Valk and Berserkers because of the distribution of Crit Damage and Crit Chance you achieve.

Announcing kills would spam the chat. I don’t really want the game announcing what’s happening on the map. If people aren’t watching the map, they should miss out on intel.

I like the claiming info though. Build some guild pride.

Would it be possible to introduce a live Feed in WvW similar to the one we have in Structured?

Maybe not in the exact same fashion, maybe even a new/separate chat window featuring WvW specific updates, but something like this would be awesome. I’ll list examples of some of the events that might roll through the feed. You could base some of this on the BL, or an area of the BL… I.e. divide each BL into fourths. Players in each quadrant receive updates from that quadrant only etc (if needed).

Player x has been killed by Player y.
Devona’s Rest has lost Redbriar to Isle of Janthir.
[GUILD] X has claimed Redbriar!
Redbriar has completed Upgrades under [GUILD] X

Would something like this be welcomed? Is it even possible considering the games engine etc? What do others think about this idea?

EDIT: My reason for suggesting this is to help create a community within WvW, both between team mates, but also enemies.

What kind of stat spread are people going for with the standard x/30/30/x/0?

I don’t play glass cannon, but more of a mixed set of gear. I have about 30 crit chance, 80 crit dmg, 18,000 hp, 1700 ish toughness etc. Either runes of the wurm or divinity depending on the mood.

Kind of curious what more DD and DP thieves are doing, especially soloers/small group roamers.

Zerged Fight Club, hahaha. Fight Club is just kitten fotm build dueling between condition thieves, necros, and phatasm mesmers. The fact you try to mention skill in such a low skill ceiling game is laughable at best. I can imagine the tears, the fact you zerged it makes it that much funnier.
