Whoa, is this pick on agg week?

One of the main reasons why blobbing has been so successful in T1 is because of scouts and the ability to counter threats in a speedy fashion. So why not deprive blobbing of such merriment?

Introducing a set of debuffs call ’’’Stockout’’’ or ’’’Over-encumbered’’’.

When an amount of players within set range is met, the players within question will receive the following debuffs.

-movement speed
+cooldown on skills
x supply cost

This will not only limit map presence, but also cripple building siege capabilities. I believe this will discourage blobbing and disperse players to different parts of the map. The amount of players, map range limit, and debuff values will be determined by the developer.

I personally prefer 20 – 25 zerg limit.

I also recall someone said SoS would be T4 at best without our oceanics… Same guy maybe?

Culling is so 2012. More like zerg balls nowadays.

I thought it’s well known that SoS has a weak/average NA presence. Why is it being discuss now?

Jakob’s group are one of the best hitman teams in all of WvW. No straggler is safe from them. I will put their 4-7 people against any other team of similar size in the game and bet on them.

I also think their collective contribution to PPT can be measured in single digits and they haven’t done a single thing for their server and should be the last people anyone on CD should listen to when it comes to bettering their situation.

If your goal is to flip camps and kill stragglers, you play like Jakob. If you want to capture keeps and hold them against waves of attackers, you’ll start finding like-minded folks and start training.

There’s nothing wrong with flipping camps as long as the main zerg is taking advantage of it and is aware of the ops team.

We are easily broken. Our “big rallied push” to take back our garry on Saturday was not 50 but more like 60 of us. That humiliating wipe cleared us in seconds. Did we re-rally? No. That 20 RE or whatever group hit us like a freight train and destroyed us – get over it. Try again or elsewhere. Everyone fell apart after that.

I’ll admit the RE pain train gave us trouble at first but it’s nothing we haven’t see before. It’s really similar to the way Agg operates before they transferred out of SoS by letting the militia distract the enemy and stack, boon up, then push out to wipe the unsuspecting enemy.

This encounter with RE is a good thing for us because we hit our peak community ts3 participation.

The good thing about the new sytem is everyone gets to feel strong and weak depending on the week; but the inconsistency might make WVW non-competitive. It will make our beloved sport, a past time.

This is pretty much what I’m worried about. ANet didn’t think through the full effects of a system like this…

Pretty sure Anet is being optimistic about higher tiers unstacking their wvw pop to lower tiers to keep the matches competitive. ET and FC definitely needs help.

SoS you guys made today fun, you gave me a real battle as a commander taking your keep in Eternal when it had a waypoint and then taking your garrison in SoS Borderlands. Thanks for the hard fought battles if it wasn’t for those two fights in particular today wouldn’t have been worthwhile.

It was fun though I wish CD has map presence since we are taking in all of your aggression and seemingly infinite amount of bodies in EB earlier today.

+1. We had a couple decent wipes and was able to rally people into ts3 to get things started. I am sure you all in the TC zerg were thinking free badges (especially on the Bluelake push) but wanted to prove a point to everyone what the new meta is since ac buff etc. It was helpful I hope to majority of miltia that came out and watched the mechanics that RE/TC friends use when stacking/regrouping veil bombing etc. Thanks for the fights.

I see no point in entering WvW. If we bust our humps to keep just what we have in EB, we gain points and still get crushed by huge zergs. Why would I want that? The last two weeks my guild has filled keeps with seige and owned Veloka most of the time. Why? All that effort, we lose and we STILL get put up against larger population servers to waste another week. So why? Why keep trying? So I start leveling an alt. Give the game maybe the next two weeks to fix itself.

I know the feel mate. I have my fair share of upgrading veloka and overlook too. With CD kicked off the map, TC’s full focus is obviously on us. You have to admit that the last 2 days of holding overlook during EU prime Zombie Coast dropped a lot of bags and badges and they keep coming! It totally paid off imo.

On a serious note, CD where are you! We can share the pain together meng.

I miss mid-tier.

Consistently winning by 100k in T4 does suggest SoS is too large for mid tier tho.

If they go up against Mag/FA the same thing is bound to happen but their score would be lower slightly because of the larger NA prime time force from Fort Janthir, and harder re-capping due to more people in off-peak. They are a man in the middle due to coverage.

Most definitely, generally there is usually queue on SoS borderland or EB on reset nights. Very rarely, we get queue for both. If we are matched with greater NA, we will most likely lag behind in terms of points. If FA/Mag upgraded their stuff to T3, it will make the job harder for our oceanics which is why we are trying our best everyday to make sure it’s easy for them to recap everything. Losing everything during EU prime aka our off peak is demoralizing to others. And the cycle begins!

If you insist on queues and skill lag, join JQ. They could use the organized guilds to compete with SoR and BG. They have a lot of fairweathers just like BG and will come out when the server is winning.

Otherwise, I would suggest joining FA, TC, or DB. FA for decent number of organized wvw guilds in NA and Oceanic timezones. TC for being the closest T1 contender with all around coverage. DB for strong SEA , weak EU and a lot of fairweather NA.

A majority of SoS aren’t interested in T1 again because of the massive blobs of zerg running 24/7 and we agreed on not helping fund large guild alliances. Medium and small guilds are fine. Our community TS3 participation is ever increasing.

Dear god TC that was a lot of golems earlier in EB.

I believe we tried to forge an alliance against TC on CD BL earlier but CD is more interested in kicking us off the map. xD

Uh from my experience in T1 SEA =/= Oceanic. SEA starts 3 hours later and ends 2 hours later than Oceanic. Hence why FA’s Oceanic is losing to DB’s SEA presence.

Finally had a chance to lead a decent group for the first time in months.. man I had a blast. SoS BL was really fun. TC fielding 2 groups of 30-40. [TSL] with the 8 million catas on Cliffside.. Good kills, good deaths..

HB is back? I remember them back in T1 days where they stack tightly together as a ball and roll over unorganized SoS pugs during EU prime. Interesting fellas if you ask me! That was until VoTF and RG came to T1NA and HB primarily focus on pvdooring for BG PPT. Intentions? I think it’s to keep BG in T1.

I think being the underdog suits SOR better than the reigning champ, having a goal to strive for is more motivating than fighting to keep a crown that gives no perks imo.

This is a similarity with TC. We’ve always come out of the woodwork when we were “Red.” It’s easy to get bored or burned out when you’re “Green.”

This is true for “SoS 2.0” before the exodus. Being green in T1 for 2 months has left us unmotivated. I’m glad we are out of T1 even if it costs us 13 guilds.

I was in EB last night NA prime and I can guarantee we were focusing on SoR and TC at the same time by separating our forces with two commanders to defend/attack 2 fronts when necessary. Besides, this is a learning experience for our new emerging commanders. Our NA base pop may be lower than the other two servers but we will try our best.

Almost like a dream come true when the whole map is on our community TS3. It hasn’t happen yet but we are getting there!

TC spent almost the entire night attacking SoR in the south on SoS BL. First thing SoS does when they get garrison back is to try to take TC’s spawn tower, losing Garrison again to SoR. Don’t think PiNK is your problem.

We were gonna stay on hills and let SoS keep their garri, but they kept attacking bay.

Don’t feel bad. Think of it as a lesson to the commander in question to upgrade before advancing into enemy territory. With most of our organized guilds and commanders gone during the exodus, our new emerging commanders are still inexperienced when it comes to facing equal or greater force.

We may not be as strong as we were but we will try our best to hold our corners.

I forgot what queues are like again. It’s been so long!

Plus if finding fun for you and your server is just rolling over an extremely undermanned server rather then fighting a dug in force (as you claim FA is) then that tells me all I need to know about your server. Oh hey there visitor! I’ve been playing during EU prime to late NA prime and it’s been a bad day getting wiped by PiNK and DiS from TC and by RET from FA in SoS BL over and over again since noon ET. It is impressive. I have seen our newer wvwers play with full berserkers. From my experience, that never works with organized guild groups , but hey what am I to tell them how to play the game!

If those are all the WvW guilds we have, then SoS has one helluva militia!

Most of the militia are remnants of former guilds who moved/quit during our rise to T1 and skilled individuals who transferred to help a smaller server.

Very impressive by TC and FA right now. SOS has 5 people in EB so what do TC and FA do? They each attack SOS and take towers that are undefended rather then fight each other. So much for how these mighty titans like a good fair fight. They avoid each other like the plague beating up on a severly undermanned server. Welcome to the new WVW ghosttown.

I noticed you were being negative in team chat but let me tell you something. Our NA population is always limited and this is a team game. We work as a server to solidify a fort for our oceanics to wreck havoc when its their prime time.

I’ve watched SoS fall down from T1 to T4 because people are used to winning. I thought we recovered from that mindset. I guess not.

Ask yourself what will happen when you win or lose. Our NA is limited and we still fight on for the fun of it and not the score.
