A good ascended trinket setup?

Honestly, you can get trinkets pretty easy. All you need to do is Fractals. Each full fractal run will grant you 1 pristine fractal relic, and after 10, you can get a full ascended trinket. For the accessories, do guild missions. A full guild mission will give you 6 guild commendations, and an ascended accessory costs 12. The amulets can be obtained by doing your dailies (like a month’s worth or something like that) and the backpiece can also be obtained with fractals.

Invest in Berserker trinkets, accessories, amulets and backpieces. You’ll eventually get to the skill level where defensive traits aren’t needed, and that stuff will allow you to maximize your damage. (if you’re doing PvE. If WvWvW, I would suggest soldier’s, but I’m not a WvWvW player)

Thanks for the feedback, I was actually thinking about doing fractals for the back items and such, good to see it’s a good method. Definitely going to give it a try when I get the chance. I see your point about going all berserker, I do dodge at almost every opportunity that it is needed. Even if other stats are needed I could build armor to accommodate those stats.

Since the ascended trinkets take a very long time to get and are very expensive I won’t be able to have multiple to switch out between builds any time soon. I was able to get two ascended berserker rings, and amulet, now planning on the rest. I mostly do WvW and dungeons should I still just go with berserker for the other three items as well? I was thinking about going soldiers because my health is really low, 19k to be exact. Since I don’t have any other stats in vitality or that much more for toughness.

I know exotic armor and weapons aren’t to expensive and are easily switchable, but for the ascended trinkets I want something a bit well rounded for me to use in multiple aspects of the game. I mostly use swords, GS, bow, rifle. Have been saving gold and laurels for a months, just don’t want to make the mistake of getting the wrong item, any help is appreciated.

I’m actually really pleased with the transmutation charges, except that I have leftover stones from the old system that are useless. I like that they’re not physical items (not for long, anyway).

I could be mistaken but I’m pretty sure the old stones can be converted to charges. It just takes 3 stones for 1 charge, 1 crystal for 1 charge, and 1 splitter for 5 charges.

So, if you had 5 stones, you’ll be left with 2.

that only counts for normal stones, lvl 80-only stones are 1 charge for 1 stone

Yes, but I have two of the normal stones leftover, and it makes me sad.

Left with 2 as well, was thinking about getting one from someone else until I noticed they were account bound. I’m guessing the only thing that can be done with them is to destroy them.

Yes, destroy. The chance of ever being able to do something with them hovers around zero. (I had one or two left over, which I deleted).

Yeah that’s what I’m going to end up doing. The storage space is limited enough already, don’t want to waste it on something that can’t be done. Although, I’m glad they changed it to the current method. I had around like 80 transmutation stones that were just sitting around.

What weapon do you use for tagging?

The Sword works pretty well for me, since it helps apply bleeding you can just use skill 1 and hit as many as you can.

Speaking of tagging, what exactly counts as a tag. I’ve been in situations where I’ve only managed to hit enemies once and it counted, but other times I’ve hit them multiple times and it didn’t count. Is their a percent of damage that needs to be done or something?

Remember the good ol’ days when Thief uses rifle before it was given to Warrior? I surely do. I miss those days.

Really? Never knew the thief had the rifle originally. I want pistols on my warrior.

Proof.

That does make more sense, have some sniper type setup would have worked well.

Would be interesting if they had a current online players that showed wen you logged on. First time I saw it was Eve Online, I’m guessing people would begin to complain about the game being “dead” every time the numbers drops a little.

More slick and elegant weapon skins please!

I thought I was the only one that hated all of the bulky weapons and armor. I having the same problem trying to find some combinations to work. Worse thing about mix matching armors is that some of the dyes don’t match up on different sets of armor.

I’m thinking about using the raipers for the swords as well. I was thinking about using the mithril blade or the dark steel version of it but they made it look way to damaged and old. Might just stick with the ebonblade for the GS. Seems simple enough. Really wish they would readvise their armors and weapons.

Sadly, we can only wear what is specialized for our class. I wish we could have worn different styles, problem with a lot of the warrior armor is it’s way to bulky.

I’m really glad I noticed this thread, I’m running S/S in mostly EotM at the moment and it seems to be doing well. I’m still working on setting up my equipment properly. For my armor and weapons I’ve been using Rampages, would that be a viable option or should I switch to dires? I’m guessing switching would help because I only have around 19k health. I have 2 rings and a amulet that are ascended and have berserker stats, rebuying those is going to take some time :/.
