Usually I don’t mind difficult parts of the game but 40 seems to be pretty high. Especially trying to use the action cam which isn’t that accurate. 30 I could understand, even the sniper rifle test in TD has a pretty high gold requirement.
Bring back so many memories. I didn’t see it in the pictures but you can see one of the Temple of Ages statues in the bottom of the lake from Guild Wars 1 around the same location in Guild Wars 2.
It usually comes back every Halloween from what I’ve seen. That’s how I got mine, couldn’t get it the first year and it came back the next year.
I finally did it, it was Malchor’s Leap that didn’t register the previous times I did it. This time when I was falling I kept on holding the forward button and I believe that landed me in the exact location I needed to be to register the final jump. If anyone in the future has trouble with some locations keep this in mind.
Great! Glad to hear it. (Thanks for letting us know how you got it, too.)
No problem, every jump I did I would think “this is the one” haha. I appreciate all the help by the way, was very useful.
undouble, that’s probably the hardest one to do but it’s still manageable. I would recommend watching some videos that show you how to do it. I was able to get it on my first try following the video.

Hopefully pistols, would really enjoy dual wielding them.
The worst one has to be the one in the Silverwastes, and if you’re going for the gold coin achievement as well, you will be spending several days in the depths of those caverns. Nothing but horrible memories from that place.
Glad to know it’s still possible. I just wish I crossed off the ones that I knew I got the completion for if I knew this was going to happen. Not looking forward to going back again to do them, but being so close I just want to complete it now.
Is their any specific method that would be recommended for specific jumps, like walking off instead of jumping?
Having done all of the diving locations multiple times I am still stuck at 37/38. I did the Not So Secret one as well so I know I’m not missing that one. I’ve read around that many other people are stuck at 37 dives as well. Is this a possible glitch or bug that’s occurring that isn’t allowing this achievement to complete?
I do miss GW, don’t get me wrong GW2 is a great game but the original GW just had that depth that nothing has been able to recreate. When you go out to explore you were actually out on your own, no WP and what not. You would spend over an hour getting to some of those locations, and you would probably only visit them once but that feeling of being so far out just really added depth to the game among many other factors.
I’ve been using S/S for a while and enjoy it much more than GS. You can be more mobile with the S/S I felt, with the GS just hit 2 and stand there. If enemies move or get pushed it’s a waste. With S/S and the right equipment you can easily get +1k dmg per tick with bleeding in a few seconds. Damage might be a little lacking than GS but I found it more fun.
Having the same problem, can’t even get into the character selection screen. Goes to the white screen and gives me the error message to send the report.
I’m still having the same problem, tried your method velmeister but no luck. The game worked perfectly few months ago, never had a problem like this before.
As soon as I hit play and it looks like it’s about to go the the character selection screen gives me the “Send report to ArenaNet” error box. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but not luck. I tried running it as admin, same problem
Surprisingly I didn’t find many of them to bad, but the worst one is by far the Silverwastes JP. By far the worst and hardest JP in the game, to make make it even worse almost all of the golden lost badges are located in there. The challenge was interesting enough, but never again. I can’t imagine how much gold I must have wasted porting back to a WP to try over.
That JP isn’t hard; it’s just really long. Now, some of those badges are horrible and the person who designed that one where you jump on the rope and then along the wall, back behind the waypoint, will be getting a box of coal for Christmas this year.
That one as well as the one where you had to jump onto the net while going through the ramps and jumping on the single logs. Half of them seemed to glitchy that you couldn’t be sure what the hit boxes were because the part you were standing on was so small.

I was thinking about this as well, I enjoy running S/S as a warrior and don’t know how it would go once I get to higher level FOTM and such. Don’t want to spend all the gold getting the armor based around it and then have people telling me to run GS instead.
Ok, I see what you mean. Just seems odd that they have most of the insignia recipes available from master craftsman but the sinister is only available from the SW.
Gets people into the zone and farming
Yeah I see what you mean, might just end up going for something else since it’ll take less time to get.

The sinister insignia recipe can’t be bought from the TP? I can’t seem to find it on there. So that means it can only be bought from badges or crafted then right?
Ok, so buying the specific armor recipe would be better then discovering the armor itself like it would have been done normally for everything that was level 400 and lower?
Is the only was to get the ascended sinister recipe from the bandit crest collector in the silverwastes? I checked wiki and it only showed a select few of the ascended insignia available from master craftsman, and sinister wasn’t one of them. Just wanted to be sure, that their wasn’t an easier way to get it. Spending 21k karma is easier then farming 600 credits.

Ok, sounds good thanks.
Some times it’s difficult to run all of the banners as a warrior especially if you need to use some other skills. I was wondering what would be the most useful banner to have in almost any situation that the whole team would benefit the best from if I had to choose between one or two banners?
Hey there,
Are you experiencing this issue on multiple characters? Have you ever been able to get in game before? Additionally, give this a try:
1. Locate the file “GW2.exe” and right-click it, selecting “Create Shortcut.”
2. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Port Test.”
3. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
4. Edit the “Target” line to include /clientport 80 at the end. Note: Please make sure /clientport 80 is outside of the quotes.
— Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” /clientport 80
— Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe /clientport 80”
5. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes. If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try Step 4 again.
6. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Port Test” and try connecting again.
Hope this helps!
I tried it multiple times running that shortcut cut it still didn’t work. Even tried Path of Exile and was running into the same problem. Guess it is from the campuses server side as abomally was saying. Thanks for trying, if theirs any other solutions I’ll try them as well.
I seem to be having a connection problem, the connection is working perfectly fine, I’m able to browse the internet and even able to update the game without any trouble at all. I can even get into the game and go to the character screen but as soon as I hit play it gives me a server error and saying it can’t connect and then CTD. I’m using my campus internet, everything else seems to work perfectly, even other games like DOTA. Any idea what could be causing this and how it could be fixed? Here’s an image of the error.
Warriors has it in term of their traits in the Discipline track. You have to have a melee weapon equipped though.
I was disappointed about this as well, the LB already suffers from a shorter range unless you invest a trait in it. Not a fan of having to manually place where I want Arcing shot and Combustive strike to hit, they should have just let it hit the targeted enemy like the regular skills.
Have the same problem myself. I wish their was a way to mark an item so it wouldn’t show up in the sales list, I first saw this in Borderlands 2. I know the have specific boxes/bags for this but when I get to the point where my entire bag if filled I have to manually move everything out of that bag to a different bag and then sell it.
Hot as in you know

Not allowing a class to use a weapon because it doesn’t “suit” it doesn’t make any sense to me. Every class should be able to equip anything it wants. Even in the original GW you had the option to use any weapon with any skills that you want, and in some situations it was useful. Even with all the weapons we have now we get about 40 skills to use, that’s it. A warrior should be able to use pistols, daggers, staves and anything else that they want.
Last I checked a week or two ago every server was in the “Very High” category. Which was odd because I’m in sorrows furnace which is literally in last place, 24th. I was trying to transfer higher up but 1800 gems is a lot.
It doesn’t have to be brand new weapons, just current weapons being used for other professions as well. Like pistols on warriors and GS on thief’s or something. Don’t know why they haven’t implemented it in yet. By this time in GW1 we had the release of Factions and two full new professions. Adding 5 skills for a few classes in GW2 should be easy for them.
I was wondering how people were leaving and coming back, wasn’t to sure but this does clear up everything. Should make things easier now.
I agree, theirs plenty of other things that Anet needs to work on and fix, adding a race should be the last thing they should be focusing on.
I see what you mean, I was thinking I was better off taking the extra power over the toughness because I do tend to dodge when ever it’s needed. So I thought the power would help with dealing more damage. I’m not one to just stand in the red circles.
I enjoy running S/S and I know Rabid’s major stat is condition damage and Rampager is precision, although would there be a greater gain in overall base damage from having the “power” stat that comes with the Rampager? This way you have all three stats that focus on damage unlike in Rabid where you would have toughness instead of precision.
I’m really happy with the new daily changes, it’s a lot more convenient this way.
I was wondering the same thing, probably the most important waypoint in LA since everything is so close to each other. I really hope they fix it as well as bringing LA back to its original glory.
Theirs no other substitute. It is a amazing game, although it does have its flaws and their are many improvements that could be made. It is still an amazing game, and I have yet to find something to replace it.
I believe it’s one of the best aspects of the game. Never enjoyed the living story to much, didn’t even complete all of them. WvW and EOTM are worth it.
I would hope they would allow the current weapons to be usable by different professions. I’m sure that would be easier to make happen rather than making a whole new set, I just hope it happens sometime soon.
At least you get to keep the AP
Yeah, that’s true.
I’m happy they brought back the phantom’s hood, I was finally able to buy it this time. I’m really enjoying it so far, even though most of it is similar than last year, it brings a change of pace and provides something different to do.
Also will the achievements we get now reset next year?
Probably. This year is essentially the same achievements as last year with 3 extras and the rewards for each ach are different. Last year you had to complete the Blood and Madness achievement meta in order to get the Candy Corn Elemental in order to complete Prince Thorne. Granted, this did not make sense this year since many already had the elemental from last year, though they could have chosen a new mini. This year you buy the elemental for one candy corn cob, if you need it, which you get for finishing the meta or by farming 1000 candy corn, which lets Thorne progress in parallel to the Blood and Madness Meta. Last year you got the Gift of Candy Corn for helping Tassi put Thorne back in the box, which puts a permanent candy corn node in your home instance as one of the achievement rewards. This year you get 2 cobs for this, which is arguably much better since you won’t farm 2000 candy corn off a single node over the year. New achievements this year, “Lunatic Inquisition Regular”, “Pumpkin Carving”, “A Stomping Good Time”. The Pumpkin carving ach gives you a title of “Master Carver”. Also last year, most of the achievements did not give you a little chest of trick or treat bags.
Oh, that’s disappointing to hear. Spent a lot of time on some of the achievements to complete them all the way. Would hate to see them go back to zero next year.

Please bring the Phantom’s Hood back…..
I’m not the biggest fan of crafting in here either. Have to use guides if I want to perfectly maximize my resources without going over or under. I’m not saying make it like Skyrim where you craft 1000 daggers and you’re able to dragon Daedric armor haha. I’m sure in time all ascended gear is going to be sell-able on the trading post. Every other rarity already is, they just want to push people to work for these items right now so it keeps them playing.
I agree, while their still many things that need work over all it is a well made game. Their have been times I’ve tried many other games, yet I still came back to GW. The enjoyment I have had in the GW, I have not had in any other.
19k health is not low at all.
Get berserker for everything.
Glad to hear that actually, I would hear people with around 25k health and such and made me wonder where the rest of mine was.
