there is no best weapons, its what you like. Try all the combos you can, and keep the combo you like. Everyone has a different play style. Me, i have a rifle for ranged, and for melee i have a sword and an axe. But its up to you what you use. Its how you feel comfortable playing

How the hell did that “kitten” get there… it was supposed to be “cool”. o.o
maybe you love kittens so much you put that in instead of cool xD lmao

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Anti-farm_code
They put this code in place to prevent people from staying in 1 spot too long to farm mats. Best way, is to roam around and not stay in the same spot for long periods of time or your drop rates get cut down accordingly to the amount of time your there. It was not nerfed, it is the anti farming code they have in place

Hello,
I am just writing to express my concern for the amount of insane grind that is needed to obtain the fancy goodlooking gear from the vendors in Lion’s Arch from the explorer dungeons such as Citadel of Flame etc. etc.
I mean, each piece costs roughly 300 tokens and you are required to spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours in each individual dungeon to get that gear. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.
I hope that ArenaNet will dramatically lower the prices for these set items and I hope more feel this way, if you do, post here, if you don’t need to to reply.
I dont want Anet to cave into people who want stuff handed to them on a silver platter. You are supposed to work for you items not be given them to you. I hate when people always complain about stuff like this. You dont want to take the time and get the gear, fine, then dont do it. Just dont come here and whine and complain about it. It is an MMO. It is supposed to take some things an extraordinary amount of time to get. If you got everything within a few weeks or a months time, people would say “ok did everything, got everything, ill stop playing cause im done everything and got it all and im bored”
So either learn to accept that no matter what, there is always a grind that will take a long time to do/get/acheive, or just dont play and save yourself the agony of doing it and then having to post about how you dont like it, and want it nerfed down so its easier to obtain

This is why i vendor all and any gear.
What I don’t understand is why doesn’t put the 10% fee in the TP Window aswell and only display the 5% listing fee? It’s hidden Inside the wiki as if anyone is gonna read that.
I do the same. unless it is worth salvaging. Unless it is something great, then it always gets slavaged or vendored
-Often Imitated But Never Duplicated-
Also some that are trophies and cant salvage or vendor it. Just drag it outside your inventory and let go and it will ask if you want to destroy the item

Anet even said, you dont have to spend a single penny on the game (other than buying it to play of course) you can obtain everything in the game for free by trading gold for gems, and also you get some of them as rewards for doing dailies, monthlys and personal story. So if people want to spend their rlm on the game, they can, but dont come on here complaining about it. It was your decision to do so. Also, the money people spend in the game, it helps fund the people keeping the game running and fixes bugs and what not. Plus it is going to help fund the expansion packs in the future as well.

Mine seems bugged out. I have been stuck at 23,567xp from tier 1 for days and days. Yet i keep getting lvls and doing personal sotry line and dailies and yet that doesnt seem to budge, and no i didnt die either. I think there are still a few bugs to be ironed out with the achievements.

They do need more filters that for sure. It would make searching TP a lot easier and save a lot of time
-Often Imitated But Never Duplicated-
It’s because 1c above the vendor price is the minimum price allowed in the brokerage for an item. I’m sure if ANet removed that restriction thousands of fools would drive down prices even further.
They could only go so far tho. And if they did take that away, it would only hurt the sellers since theyd make no profit on the items after the collection fee and listing fee. Either way, all they are doing is losing gold for their toons by going to the lowest possible price

I know id like to see a filter that can let you see types of armour. I noticed that where it says “price” “rarity”(i think) and one other i cant think or. You can click those and it will order them from best to worst or worst to best, same with price either lowest to highest or highest to lowest. Easier way to search. Still gotta filter through tons of crap, but helps a tad

No probs, usually all chats in most mmos are standard with
/yell
/say
/party
/guild
/friend (certain ones have this so only friends see what you type)
/whisper “characters name”
/map (some have this option where map is for the entire world or continent to hear you, different from yell, where usually only a small region can hear you)

Usually the games that i have played that have auction/trading houses like this. I look for the highest price that is listed, and sell my item just a tad lower than that. Usually works pretty good, depending on what the item is and what the price is. Usually people will want your item, and if they see yours at a lower price and there isnt too much competition, it will sell pretty fast. Usually works pretty well. Made over 4g doing that so far
-Often Imitated But Never Duplicated-
Ya, i have probs like that in my instances. There was a fire on a table, and for me to put it out i had to have my back to it and dump a bucket of water onto the floor, totally having my back to the fire to put it out. I say keep trying every dumb andkitten position you can get your character into, lol. Hopefully one of them will work

Poeple do that thinking that there is only the listing fee they have to pay, but they fail to realize that their is an additional 10% collecting fee as well. The people who put items on TP 1 copper above vendor or listing price think they are beating the system, when in reality the system is beating them.
-Often Imitated But Never Duplicated-
is you want the whole immediate area, like a town or say for example “Plains of Ashford” then type in /yell. If you just want people around you at that moment to hear you type in /say
/yell is red
/say is green

I hardly use the travel system. I walk to where i have to go, collecting nodes along the way to help me along in crafting, and kill mobs so i get at times good drops, but mostly junk to salvage or sell. I find it a fun way to make a few silver quickly incase i do die and need repairs or if i have to travel to a point that has a champion or good event up. That way i dont touch my gold that is saved up in my bank. On a god day i can usually make between 50s to 1g. Depending what i do and where i go
-Often Imitated But Never Duplicated-
Depending where you logged off. If you were in a place where mobs could attack, when you log off, the game doesnt disconnect your character at that moment in time. Your character, even though you yourself logged out of the game and cant see or control it, sometimes for a few seconds, all the way up to 1 minute, your character could still be in game and online. So that might have happened and a mob might have attacked you breifly, thats why you saw your HP at 580 and rise to 1200.
If you were in a city and were safe from any mob attacks, then i have no clue why it did that.

Its done so people have to either hunt and grind for gear, or they have to make or buy it themselves. It is done that way so people either have to spend gold in one way shape or form. They do it to control the game economy and to control inflation so it doesnt get out of control. Thats why there are so many gold sinks in the game. Gear is one of them, depending how you go abouts getting it

Email Anet to see if they can do anything, if they wont do anyhting for you , then you will have to remake it.
-Often Imitated But Never Duplicated-
Sorry miss read, thought you were trying to make a quick buck xD
Well, in that case, the best way to find out is to email them. Since only part of the forums is up., sending them an email will probably be the best way to get a quick answer, instead of ppls opinions or assumptions, or waiting to see if a MOD will see this post and answer it.

Most games, unless stipulated, selling anything for RLM (real life money) is a violation of the TOA and can result in a permanent ban of all your accounts. So posting this, Anet might watch you and see if you try and sell anything now for RLM

Thanks guys. Appreciate the help.

I was wondering about this since I cannot figure out when they reset.
I logged in on Wednesday after work, and my dailies were reset. I quickly completed them, then to my surprised, they reset again about 3 hours after i finished them the same day.
Does anyone know what time they reset? Or is it just randomly done and can do your dailies more than once a day if your lucky?

They have to have gold sinks in the game to keep inflation down. Just like TP, you have a listing fee plus a 10% collection fee. It is a way to keep the inflation down, and to keep the community balanced. Without these gold sinks, the game would be ruined and people would just list things for ridiculous prices. It is meant to be like this. Thats why some people dont craft at all since it is a huge gold sink.
-Often Imitated But Never Duplicated-
It is one way to keep inflation down. Gold sinks are a way to make sure prices for items stay at a decent normal level. Without them, people would be selling stuff on their for ridiculous amounts of gold and it would ruin the game community before it even really got started. It is just something you have to keep in the back of your mind when selling items that the higher the price you put, the higher your “taxes” will be on it.

When i see a gold seller spamming in chat. I click report and click scamming, cause most of them that sell gold just try to get ppl to be stupid enough to go and enter their info so they can later hack that account and use it for botting and more gold spamming.

I went to EB Games (Gamestop in the USA). I say they had the strategy guide. I told them i wanted one, and they showed me a collectors edition strategy guide. I was a hard cover book, and it comes with a smaller map book so you can look on maps instead of flipping through the 500+ page guide for the map you want/need. It comes in handy. I got the hard cover one cause this way the cover wont get all bent out of shape and torn like softcover guides tend to do.
