Cursed Shore: "Tactician Footi" dynamic event bugged

The event where you have to help tactician footi set up her cannon is locked with the NPC cohorts sitting around doing nothing near the statue of melandru while there is no “tactician footi” to be found. Mobs continue to spawn endlessly as they are killed in this area. It is impossible to complete Orr without this dynamic event (can’t get statue of Grenth SP,) making it pretty urgent.

Situation untenable.

Only complaint is they don’t tell you how to avoid these caps. It’s one thing to make it so you don’t have people scripting around your system, it’s another to leave us all in the dark if we want to play efficiently.

The drop rates are all over the place. I can move five inches and kill the same kind of mob for immediate rewards and other times travel to different zones and get literally nothing but grays.

This seems off – I remember when you could -actually- net enough crafting mats with a little time and dedication. Now you just have no clue what’s going to happen – in a bad way. You rely more on the TP than ever now to get your crafts up, let alone when you finally hit the point where you need ectos… It’s a little frustrating. At least with TF2 they explained to the community exactly how the system worked, so that the players that cared could understand and play without becoming frustrated at a system that lays over everything so ominously.

Where it really starts to matter is when we’re talking higher end, when you curve out on how much power is going to give you versus how much a multiplier is going to give you. Doing 100 extra damage in a 1000 damage auto-attack is far less desirable than doing 100% extra damage 45% of the time than you’d normally do.

I’m pretty sure they amped up the “anti-bot” code and now trying to get mats for crafting short of just buying gold is ridiculously difficulty. I’m talk 10 minutes and all I get is some grays and pocket change, whereas I used to go grab 10-30 total fine crafting mats in a half hour with -LESS- magic find than I currently have.

They’re not changing anything. His dungeon is the way it’s going to be and we deal with it or find another game to play.

CoF, and most dungeons in general, are now -overtuned-

Stop it, Robert. You -do- have no idea what you’ve done. If your only defense is “mad cuz bad” when you’re playtesting in devlar, you’re a fool.

If you can do this with a random group, let’s see the youtube video! Some strategy. Let’s watch you fight the triple elite spawns for 200 seconds straight.

Sorry, but I doubt you actually tested the Magg Kaboomium event. Seriously. There’s no way I can comprehend someone thinking you can fight through that.

Take off your devlar and try this fight from a fair angle and tell me it’s functioning as intended.

Did you just want to make it into a mediocre gear gate dps race? Because that’s what it’s become, rather than a fun, quirky event with a great deal of difficulty.

You -cannot- kill the mobs fast enough. I have no idea how you got this. With even five glass cannons high-geared DPS builds we couldn’t kill a single mob before wave two, which soon became wave three which spelled doom. You can’t tell me you expect players in groups of five to fight off seven elite mobs at once with more on their way for 2 1/2 minutes.

You want an explanation why they did what they did?

Anet told us before this game was released explorable wasn’t meant for pugging, it was meant for guild runs with communication etc. Yet everyone was doing speedruns of a certain path and you don’t think that’s supposed to be fixed?

Grow some balls, and actually play this game. Try some different paths instead, you might like the rewarding feeling it gives when you complete an actual challenging dungeon.

THANK YOU ANET FOR NOT NERFING CONTENT, BUT BUFFING IT INSTEAD. Don’t listen to these people and keep your promise about explorable supposed to be hard.

Magg CoF was what the other dungeons -should’ve- been like. If they were anywhere near as fun, profitable, and what’s more around that difficulty, you’d see people going elsewhere.

It was -fun-. There -was- challenge for most groups. Dozens of wipes, in fact.

But now it’s just pointless -and- unfun.

This is what happens. Everyone complains constantly about something, so they take huge measures to change it. Then everyone is even more unhappy with the result.

Well they made it more risk with less reward. Who in their right mind would waste their time on this?

This. They just weighted both sides disproportionately and killed the point entirely.

Only conceivable way of protecting Magg now is AoE spamming the waves.

Too bad they spawn faster than you’d be able to kill without Legendaries.

So how do you gear up when you can’t run on the gear treadmill? Massive mistake. CoF explorable was easy but it had enough challenge to necessitate skill. Now it’s just AC v2 and very unfun for most groups not already geared.

You -do- get a guaranteed “dungeon” piece of gear per run.

It’s that generic model yellow from story mode.

It strikes me as incredibly odd. Odd like how the karma vendors in Timberline sell “mountain” equipment, which is half generic art and half unique, mountaineer-like models, with no clear correlation between “the rare and fine sets look different.”

This doesn’t seem like the trend, I mean, let’s look at the great looking armor from Gendarran fields – it -looks the same regardless of rarity, when it’s sharing the same name and source-.

So am I the only one who thinks the default rare sets of armor being -ALL GENERIC- (cabalist set etc.) is a little, you know, completely off? Perhaps this is intended, but that still doesn’t answer why things like the karma vendors don’t violate this trend. I think it’s extremely weird having the gift for all dungeons’ story mode be an ugly, low-looking piece of armor that has okay stats, but being named the same as the dungeon’s -themed- set.

At least change the name to “generic dungeon reward armor” if that’s how it’s supposed to be?
