Meh, it’s working well. But I know FA wants to move up. I don’t know how that’s going to work out though. Maybe an alliance between TC and FA to push CD down? Maybe.

Well of course obviously I can see using certain things as a tactical advantage – just seems very silly to not keep people informed. If CD is harassing TC in their own borderlands, I’m not going to interfere obviously because that’s less FA has to worry about on our own turf.

But I don’t see it ending well if some of FA and CD try to discuss things. Someone has to end up in third place, and I guarantee you those on all three sides don’t want that to happen regardless of how friendly they appear to an enemy commander.

I myself, will not be part of working together with an enemy, mostly because I’ve never seen it work well in other games.

Necromancer marks and wells are so visible it’s ridiculous (which makes them easily avoidable). That said, if 20 people can port in off a portal, then I should be able to hit 20 people with my Aoe mark/well.

I agree with you there. While there are some clever uses for portals, I do think it should have it’s limits.

Wasn’t a lot of TC folks jumping on the “there isn’t any alliance, lol!” bandwagon just recently? But some are the first to cry foul when their borderlands are split a bit?

Silly imho.

Just because a borderlands has two different colors on it, doesn’t always mean there’s some secret alliance. However if there is one that I don’t know about – my bad as I’ve heard nothing of it.

As someone that’s on wvw quite often, I have to ask:

What alliance?

If players are red on my screen, usually I attack regardless of what the name says.

Like the poster above me stated. I also think it’s based off the amount of accounts online at any specific time. At odd hours (3 am – 8 am est) usually some of the full ones appear as high. But yeah the bigger servers like SoS is full about 24/7. Unless they can try getting on right as servers come up from a restart or something.

Ascended gear is almost no stat change at all. I’m quite content with my exotics.

I doubt you will be saying that when you start going up against people in full ascended gear later on while you are “sticking to your guns” on the exotics.

I personally will be fine with exotics, there is no way at all I would ever do as many fractals as it takes to get up to having a full set. I do hope they add more ways than that to obtain them.

If people want to do it, they deserve it. I just can’t bring myself to sit down and grind out something like that lol. I’m with some other folks here – I’m perfectly fine with my exotics.

So we’re not really camping, as such, but are actually trying to maintain the peace and only kill people when we feel an injustice has been committed. We saw one member of FA openly ganking people in the arena and so we sentenced her to life imprisonment with the siamoths!

Another person received the death penalty, so imprisonment was decidedly less harsh. She stayed there for a while. Kara said it was fascinating so we observed her behaviour with the animals…

I’ve done enough fractals for my monthly. I will not do anything further hah. They are way too repetitive for me to do those day in and day out. But some people like it, and like grinding for stuff I suppose. The only pve I intend on doing at the moment are just world completion stuff, and running around Orr gathering mats to sell in the TP to cover some of the costs of WvW.

Oh no oh dont you dear. This is good drama. Like a reality show, but about roman Gods and borderlands.

It’s not good drama, lol. It’s a couple of people being lame. Right now, one of them is sitting in our Raidcall group even though very few people are on at this time and no one is talking. He decided to impersonate one our members (me lol) even though I’m already there so it’s obvious he’s not one of us.

TC players need to teach them a thing or two imo. You guys seem like you have a lot of fun in the middle of conflict. These guys are just angry.

GODS is having a lot of fun in TC BL right now. Someone even came into our Raidcall to rage, lol. We’re outnumbered by TC easily, but that’s why it’s exciting.

TWO of them came in at different times. That was gold.

TC finally showed up in numbers gotta give them credit. Even BLNT did a little bit of work against us…but then again there was 8 of them hanging with 35+ TC. lol.

We had fun with you guys as well, it was frustrating when we tried to take down you guys’ trebs at BB.

Of course that was up until BLNT members started childish nonsense by hopping onto raidcall chat and starting a fuss. Of course I’ve always went by the “be the bigger man” mentality and not stoop down to that level – but if they want to, that’s on them.

It was a fun night against TC regardless!

You’re the exact reason threads get locked. If you have an issue keep it to whispers and off the forums. No one cares about drama from you leaving server/guild or what bridges may have been burned in the process with officers in guild.

On topic – lots of fun fights so far tonight.

I really do dislike the staff’s as well. They do have uses however! Staves being able to hit through doors, being able to block chokepoints, and the speed boost are all really good. Offensively I find it complete garbage however. But I guess it wasn’t necessarily meant to be that, however I’ve seen some builds that work pretty well and can put out some decent numbers.

But in regards to shields and whatnot, I blatantly refuse to use them. PvE I suppose it works okay, but in wvw I’ve not seen many uses for it. If i can die with my greatsword, Id have more than likely died with my shield in the same circumstances. That’s not to say they don’t have uses.. they do.. I just suppose it depends on playstyle – which mine relies on being more mobile – which the shield just does not allow.

This is all my opinion of course. Keep/tower defense a defensive build works wonders if your allies aren’t moving around a lot and such.

I’m not sure, I know if I want to get badges I’m going to have to roll a ranged class. I can get them occasionally as a guardian doing various things, but in massive fights I don’t see as many as my engineer. I do quite well as far as badge drops in small skirmishes however when things live long enough for me to get into range and do some damage.

I agree that it would be nice to see a bit more silver incoming in wvw. As it stands I can blow through 1 gold very quickly depending on circumstances in wvw.

If I upgrade keeps/towers it’s very easy to go through 1g+ just doing that.. not including any siege you may buy. I’d like to purchase the gear with badges eventually so spending those on gear is hit and miss.

Not really a gripe since usually I’ll just go do some running around in Orr every couple of nights to make a few gold here and there to compensate. But if I abandon pve all together, I do struggle with gold purely in wvw.

Wasn’t really talking crap….was curious since the score today had FA with potential points of +20. You only had 2 supply camps and 1 tower. This was unusual since it always seems to be a close match at least on the weekend.

Unfortunately it seems there is very little action on FA’s part outside of prime time. Occasionally there will be a few of us on at 1-2 am, but as I said.. outside of prime time we are spread pretty thin.

Are you suggesting GODS lost only a few people? Because I haven’t seen more than a handful this week, compared with endless 40 man zergs last week. PRO on the other hand looks like the new GODS.

Nut – that is correct. Only 10-15 of the spec ops group (I believe) left server and guild. It might appear smaller as of late, because we have been removing inactives and such, as well as some restructuring in guild.

If a moderator looks at this: to prevent things like this in the future, would a possible fix be to only allow rams to be placed within a certain distance of door structures only? I would say make things despawn after a certain amount of time, but if someone wants to do that to make things harder on the server in question, they have no problems using the siege to make sure it doesn’t despawn as well…

So that’s why I could never build siege in EB…

I seriously doubt that these people aren’t in the same TS, VENT or whatever and working together giving intell on whats defended and whats not. The decision has been reversed. GODS will stay in FA. Unfortunately, some members transferred already so they are stuck for a week.

Not surprised by the trolling. There was only 2-3 folks that transferred. The 10-15 that moved over to TC were mostly spec. ops.

If I’m not mistaken on what I’ve heard from guild leader/officers earlier tonight, there will be some restructuring taking place among [GODS] in the coming days.

Regardless, I am looking forward to this weeks matchup!
