From Shadow unto Light is born the Narvedui
While softly walks the Tharnadai
Won’t happen.
Largos without the mystique of their rarity would be nothing. Their secrets are what makes them interesting. Plus clipping issues.
Also, bear in mind that they would play with the exact same mechanics as every other species. Anet is not capable of making each race or profession different or unique in any way ( other than how much clipping there is).
Clipping?
If the mechanics were the same, then their being activated would be rather dull.
If they are going to be playable without ‘diluting’ their uniqueness and, as you say, rarity, then perhaps they can be made playable in a rather large instance.
The smidgeons we’ve been receiving are too little.
We have to balance that with not receiving too much, but the Largos are certainly a whole new realm of exploration.
Supposing it actually is done, I assume they will have to be playable in all classes?
They are master stealthers, master warriors, master hunters, but how about spellcasting? Can’t imagine Largos fitting in as mesmers or elementalists or engineers. Guardians.. hah.
Whatever they do will be done with a stealth/rogue combat element in it. Or they could be unlocked after one unlocks, say, an Assassin specialisation in Thief, but even then, only after like a bazillion lore and skill requirements are met.
They could be made playable by having the original character travel to the Largos area ‘their’ character is in, and request their assistance, whereby they reload as the Largos?
This could be restricted to certain parts of the map for a certain duration of the week?
Unless some lore comes out that will make them more sociable, I don’t see it happening. Right now they are extremely insular and will treat ANYONE as a viable target for their hunts.
Lore comes out of people. It is up to us to make some, then. Fanfiction writers, ahoy!
Apart from their deadliness and beauty, their very insularity is what makes them appealing. What is their world like?
You got that wrong. Lore comes from Arenanet. Largos are their intellectual property. Until they write more story about the Largos, we will never know for certain.
Won’t hurt to inspire them <3

It’d be awesome if they make Bubbles into a plushie!
<3
Complete with cute eyes and big teeth…
I have said this to my friends for 2 years now. I want them as a playable race as well. It would rock.
And, Bubbles is the name people have given to the Water dragon we do not know the name for.
+1
Not to my knowledge.
Is there a ‘take no prisoners’ policy in effect for extreme cases, with a heavy-handed slap/punch for lighter offences?
Or are they simply branded unable to buy beer at any Norn establishment?
…? Bubbles? Is that an NPC, or a plushie?
Please, please, please, pretty please?
Master Assassins… PLEASE.
Put up as many barriers as you wish. Challenges, heck, even gems, gold, money, upgrades. Preferably keep the in-game ‘earning’ of the right to play/unlock, not just cash. A certain achievement level. Whatever. Just bring them in.
Couldn’t be more awesome. The masters and mistresses of all Roguedom.
Slap on a condition that they only work underwater. Or maybe get advantages underwater.
Have them a challenge to level, both story/lore and mechanics-wise, and fun to play.
Give us a Largos city, dungeon,..
Pretty, pretty please?
Make it a massive questline to unlock it if you don’t want a rush of conversions, which will happen, methinks.
Thank you kindly.

And again in the preview window:
There are two ‘eye’-like gaps in the back of my Sylvari when she wears her Masquerade dress. They do not appear in other clothing.
One can see the world through them, like windows.
Looking good in Ascalonian Catacombs:
<kiss><kiss><kiss>

I love you.
I suddenly had a vision of Norn men, what with their tattoo-showing skimpy tops, dancing in the snow, singing I’m Too Sexy for My Shirt .

Golem Rrrrumbllleeee!
Astride both eaves of the Khylo Clock Tower roof, à la Mary Poppins:

Jormag, in all his terrible majesty:
Kodan architecture is fun.
Found a list of recorded Viking names, male, female, non-gender, nicknames in this list .
Personal favourite is the nickname that means ‘Awkward poet’.
Close the ad on the page before it loads its video. Ned Flanders kind of nerdy.
Nice menu effect for Guardians:
While trying out Nornishness..
New fandom developed for Ulfred.
Brilliantly made, beautiful Tyria!
One thing has come to my notice: the disproportionately small, almost cut-off-toed feet of the Sylvari, females in particular.
Males’ feet are also small for their figures, but not as clearly as those of their female counterparts.
Then a strange thought came upon me:
Whoever made these so small, was either trying to break human proportion to give a sense of being ‘fey’ or ‘fae’, therefore disconnecting Sylvari from being human or humanoid,
OR
..has an obsession with The Three-Inch Golden Lotus.
Conclusion: our world is vast and beautiful. It has been carefully and thoughtfully made, down to the roots, the places we shall never see.
The placing of the seemingly ‘irregular’ rock formations had a certain aesthetic.
Tyria, how truly beautiful you are!
So glad to meet you, yet again.
I had battled the Wurm together with them, but from underneath, giving and receiving damage. When I saw some people fighting a Husk after that, I joined in as well, and was somehow magically pulled back to the surface when I rolled upwards towards the enemy, treading the earth again as I had done before.
Here I stood again among mortals, above the Roots of Life.
..and finally got the shot of everyone’s toes in the water that I had travelled so far for.
Then I found the legendary World Boss Jungle Wurm…In standby mode, with two halos of earth above it.
However, their being out of sight and deep within the earth did not prevent even clumps of earth and tree-roots of all kinds from being highly detailed and textured. This wasn’t the prettiest thing I had seen, but the diligence behind it was very moving.
..leading into Wychmire, where the secret of the great, ancient trees is revealed as their being gigantic cones of bark.
..bordered by the Asuran techno-picnic amidst human ruins..
..all aflame in its own darkness..
Found that The Nightmare Court enjoys even more of its peculiar beauty, seen this way..
…got singed by an Asuran pet volcano..
I came across something passing strange: Wurms! Suspended in the transparent ‘earth’, and fighting spiders!
..and while going through this wonderland..
Passed by – or rather under- some players…
So..surreal.. It was the same place, yet not the same place.
There was nothing beyond the Tengu wall, so back I turned to catch the World Boss event of the Jungle Wurm, thinking I would capture the image of everyone’s feet immersed in the water.
On the way, I saw several things. One is how amazingly beautiful the ‘raw’ land of Tyria was.
For, whenever I tried to swim beyond the zone borders, underwater, I would get this transcendental journey presented to me. Is this another Dream?
It was quite clear that I was not going anywhere outside the area of my sudden immersion.
Then, I wondered, can I venture throughout all of Tyria like this? Especially that terrible Orr. Ohhh! Look! It is the Tengu Wall! Let us see what is beyond!
But no, it wasn’t possible. I kept hitting an invisible wall that was clear when I swum at the surface.
All plants and animals appeared suspended in the air.
The roots of all Life..
This is what it looked like under higher ground. I could see the roots of the world.
It was a marvel. I could travel the entirety of Caledon Forest, unscathed, from below.
While exploing the Caledon Forest, the Golotl Grounds, to be exact, I got attacked by their hylek NPCs on my Mesmer. Before I knew what had happened, a red hylek threw me back, down, right through the rock and into the water that I have today learnt covered our entire world.
I found myself swimming between earth and sea: the land, in solid, irregular, but nonetheless carefully thought-out arrangements, looked amazing. Everything else stood on a thin transparency, and could be seen from beneath.
I don’t think we can call it a success or a failure just yet. Season 1 style was a total failure, as people started complaining about missed content and the pressure put on the narrow timeline. Season 2 style, though, seemed to have been received positively and will probably continue. Which really is what will be the test. If there is a season 3, it’s a success; otherwise, it’s a failure.
What do you mean by Season 1 and Season 2 Styles, please?
I have just noticed that our good Queen Jennah is barefoot. Sign of immortality in ancient Greece, hence all gods and heroes were depicted thus.
Is it humility and modesty in her case?
Reminds one of the case against high heels in Lilliput.
Thank you, Inculpatus Cedo.
I will not carry my computer with me.
I will copy the entire folder, in that case, from Applications.
Travelling soon, but I do not want to be without you! How do I take Tyria with me? Not so download-friendly, where I am going. PC versions I could buy a CD and be done with, but the Mac, the Mac…
Do I copy the Disc Image of Guild Wars 2 on my Mac and carry it, oh so innocent, in a USB stick, smiling at the thought of an entire universe in the palm of my hand?
