I have to say [HOPE] had a good night tonight using our garri as a distraction to tak lv and still saved garrison in the end which a few of BG tried running back to (lol). Though sadly we didnt kill as many TC as i would have like tonight (even though we slaughtered you guys every time we meet). BG your giant culling bomb cluster kitteneep getting us out in the open even though we had scouts the spotted you long before you got close to us, we just lacked the numbers to go head on most the time, except that time when we kicked you out of hills.
REMEMBER THE QUAGGANS!!!!!!!!! CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had a fun time out there tonight. I only took Longview to pull some of you guys back up north. We never expected to hold it that long. We went into Garrison just for fun and to try finding a fight. Once we left Longview I didn’t know anyone went back to try defending it.
Hope to see you all again.
The root cause of the issue here is that Veil does not adhere to the usual AoE rules of ‘max 5 players’.
If Veil only stealthed 5 people then I think people would be OK with that.
Shadow Refuge only stealths 5, the same should apply for Veil.
I’ve been using Veil for months. Seeing it become the new “it” skill makes me sad because I am sure it will now be nerfed into oblivion.
The bigger problem is culling. Peole have said it above. Culling lets the stealth last longer than it should and the recent patch made it even worse.
Shadow refuge also lasts for 10 seconds. If they up Veil to 10 second would not be opposed to the 5 person limit.
The funny thing to me is that on the Mesmer forums the skill is still basically derided as a wasted utility slot.
I’m gad that we have owned Hills since pretty much since the start of the match.
I am assuming you mean Bay Keep.
The first time we went in was with a Mesmer who went in after FA broke down the inner door at the start. He sat there for quite a while while we were fighting in garrison.
The second time we came in from the north gate of bay (both inner and outter) with rams.
Both times, we have it recorded.
If/when JQ wins this week it will be because they have organised their numbers well and responded to attacks with their normal rapid response. IMHO, nobody does scouting and rapid response as well as JQ . Congrats it is just as good a win as any other win ever gained in T1.
EDIT: Apologies BG, meant to congrats your team at SoS Garrison today, excellent counter pushes and holding a garri with zero supply and 4-5 holes in it, Great work, loved the Hammer guys/girls leading the counter charges..
I am a little concerned with the reset as a close fought T1 may see 3, 600PPT earning lower tier servers in T1 for a few weeks. Hopefully the numbers are a bit more complicated than that and JQ, BG SOR etc get a fair go. Time will tell.
As a SoS player myself, I will be on SoS always and hope to face many quality opponents on the battlefields!
Yeah the SoS Garrison was some good stuff, Ohknats from KnT was leading the swiss cheese defense team and KnT was pretty impressive considering the coverage of defense against multiple foes. Even after it dwindled down to like 12 BG in the zone we still held out ( not Garrison ;) until I logged around midnight PST NA time
I wish someone had made a video of some of that action to put with the " what a smaller group can do" videos
LotD also had a commander (me) and group at the garrison. The fights were pretty awesome for hours. We had about 15-20 LotD and a few other people with us, usually less than 20 because they could all use a Mesmer portal. Most of the night.
We were holding one side while KnT held the other and we’d collapse to help each other when needed. I was really happy with the coordination between LotD and KnT. It allowed us to hold off pushes on garrison at the same time as pushes Lake/Hills.
The SoS and JQ on the borderland kept the pressure on all night and the fighting was nonstop. I recorded the entire night, but the file was corrupt when I tried to edit it for a video.
Thanks to everyone from all three servers on SoS BL last night for making it fun.

My five man group was killing yaks on the SoR side of the map most of the night in EB, mainly focusing on the northern side of the map and trying to limit the supply that reached Durios and Bravost.
Overall, it was a lot of fun and we got to have some fun fights with SoR and TC throughout the night.
He was inside of the redbriar spot attacking the trebs above, thats once we killed him, i couldnt get a guild tag shot till he was dead, he didn’t own the tower, and was a thief
and calm down raven i was asking ICoa to look into it, since i have no idea who the player is, was simply stating its stupid to see it again after all last week
Would need more screenshots or a video to see he did something wrong. That is a pretty easy spot to get to legit (I have no idea when the tower originally flipped). A thief especially could have stayed near there a long time without being seen.
My mesmer has hidden in that tower for over an hour without being found in the past. I hope the future of the game does not become players that fail to properly sweep accusing others of hacking.
Okay, I would like to actually enjoy WvW for the past couple weeks but I can’t… the same results always occur.
Fort Aspenwood vs Tarnished Coast vs Yak’s Bend
Could anyone actually give me any explanation on how the draws work? I’m sure going up against the same opoonents three times in a row IS NOT supposed to happen.
This site shows your all the information you need about the current week, what your ranking score will be based on the score, and who you will fight the following week.
Many people in this thread do not seem to have a complete understanding of the game and its mechanics.
C&D is not the only way to keep stealth up, and it is not the best way to do it.
There is a very simple way to keep stealth up (yes, it takes a specific weapon set and traits). You will not leave stealth because it will last longer than the CD is to put it up again. You also will not have to be anywhere near the enemy in the very large camps.
My brother plays this spec and has kept a camp from flipping in excess of five minutes while we came in with a force large enough to take it ourselves.
