Has ANet ever admitted that there were horrible optimization issues with the game?
Here’s the final question that needs to be asked: Were there optimization issues or did they lie to us about the minimum system requirements?
There are still hundreds of individuals who can’t even run this properly at the lowest settings. So far, ANet’s approach on the issue has been horrible.
Thank you.
Dramatically low FPS when I shouldn't be (I think)

Hi peer – You’re most welcome. You do have the latest drivers installed, but I think it would be best to install Service Pack 1 and then do a clean installation of the latest AMD drivers. This is due to the fact that the drivers were installed before the critical Windows updates were present.
EDIT : I should also mention that I would only recommend updating the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.
Ashley, isn’t this supposed to be an issue with the GAME? There have been hundreds of players experiencing slow performance despite possessing strong enough machines to run this game flawlessly. People can’t even get good FPS results with all settings set to low.
With that said, I don’t think this is an isolated issue.
Can we at least get an official announcement on what’s being done to fix the game? Or at least SOMETHING. Please.
Low FPS on both low and max settings. please help.

It’s not his computer that’s not doing its job, people…. it’s the game.
There are hundreds of players with high-end machines capable of running other games flawlessly, but that cannot get any good performance with GW2. The game needs optimization. Period.
However, ANet still hasn’t released any official statements on the matter.
Sceinna… wow.
Your specs are quite similar to mine and to be honest, I’m surprised you can run the game that smooth. Your reply gave me some hope, though, lol.
But yeah, it’s pretty much like you said. The game itself is at fault here. Some people can run it while others can’t. We just need to wait for ANet to optimize/fix things.
However, we could use an official announcement that something’s being done, but so far we haven’t got any.
Has anyone else confirmed if this works?
Also, how do you change it to “HIGH PERFORMANCE”?
I assume that by this time you’re already aware of the immense number of players experiencing FPS issues when they shouldn’t be, seeing as there have been nearly a hundred topics created on this board.
We are expecting an official statement on the matter but we haven’t got one yet. We don’t care if it’s a good one, as we just want to know what is being done to fix this. It may take days, weeks, months, etc… We don’t care.
Just give us something. SAY something and don’t leave us clueless, please.
I sure hope this isn’t asking much, as I think we’re entitled to at least know what’s going on, even if it’s “We’re working on it, but it’ll take quite sometime” or “We apologize, but the issue won’t be resolved soon”
Please… just give us something.
Thank you.
What the hell? Do you even know the meaning of the expression “here’s my two cents”?
You didn’t pitch in with anything for this whole ordeal, nor did you give us any advices or shared your opinion on the matter.
You came here asking for help, correct? So please change the title of your thread.
What are your current performance results, people? Anybody who was having FPS issues that can now run the game smoothly? Or are these newer drivers still not doing it?
Is this a problem with the game itself? Are they considering patching it?
How many of you out there are having low fps performance?
I should’ve been able to run this game on mid-full smoothly, but It just won’t do it :/ I sure hope this is a major issue with the game itself and not with my machine, cause I would hate to upgrade it again >.> But then again, if it’s necessary, it’s necessary.
The game has only launched 15 days ago, so hopefully, ArenaNet will fix things with time.
