Is it just me, or is this signet vastly inferior compared to thieve’s Signet of the Shadows, which increases their movement speed by 25% passive?
Yea agreed. It’s like an invincible stationary spy and it’s strategically a horrible design.
They need to have something like “remove insignia” from WoW where it ports the player to nearest waypoint.
“its only cus you guys have more nighttime players”
“you guys have more prime time players”
blah blah blah
I say cut the crap and let the score do the talking. Whoever wins, wins. Whoever loses, loses. Deal?
My signature should help you….a lot.
Take away the Thief stealth and Shadowing ability, and you’ll have free badges. I’m not giving you a free badge.
That’s fine. Leave stealth the way it is. Just modify the flag capture algorithm so that players “under stealth” does not prevent flag capture. That’s how it works in WoW.
I don’t know why my pet keeps reappearing whenever I enter combat (or take damage from falling), but could we please have this disabled? I want to be able to put away and bring out my bet on MY terms. Currently, we’re FORCED to always have it out whenever we’re in combat.
Also, in response to Redundancy, how is allowing massive server transfers going to help balance server populations? In my opinion, that will only increase the disparity.
If you lock them and they’re imbalanced, they’ll stay imbalanced until people from winning servers quit. Which isn’t fun and isn’t good for the game. People eventually get bored of stomping other teams non stop (look at HoD) and will spread out. Players looking for a challenge will transfer to lower servers, and players not satisfied with their current server will transfer to servers that are doing better.
HoD was dominant for so long because it had a massive 24/7 WvW population imbalance that was so lop sided they couldn’t mathematically lose after the weekend was over. The next 3 servers towered over 5, 6 & 7 in the same way. This created a situation where the T1 & T2 matchups were pretty much predetermined such that you could pick the winner with high certainty before the match even started. But eventually HoD players got bored, TA broke up and the population spread out. As a direct result of that we’ve now got one of the best WvW matchups ever occuring in T1, where every server was within 1000 points for most of the weekend.
But you’re right that ease and immediacy of server transfers is creating problems. It’s too easy to flock to winning servers now. You also have people transferring back and forth to mess with other teams mid matchup and waste their supply. And even in teir 1, there are now allegations of BG guilds (stomping T2) transferring to T1 in order to purposely target IoJ so BG can break into T1 next week.
So, there’s still room for improvements. But I don’t think locking everybody in to the current imbalanced matchups is really going to fix everything. It’s just going to lock all the current imbalances into place.
If Anet wants to keep free transfers to encourage spreading out of the player population, then why aren’t they making it so that server transfer to low pop servers are free, but to any other servers are not? That simple solution seems to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. It discourages bandwagon’ers, yet encourages even population throughout all the servers. Win/win?
Yea permanent stow would be nice.
Actually, I wish there was a trait or skill or something that gave me a damage boost for not “having a pet” or “stowing it away.” I like the ranger class, but I dont like being reliant on pets to do the damage for me.
I just found out today that Guardians have base health of 10,805 at lvl 80 while Warriors have 18,372.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Health
Do we make up for our 50% less health (compared to warriors) with other stats? I understand if other classes had +/- 10% health, but having almost twice as much seems a bit… much
Um, I’m pretty sure MOST classes have maximum range of 1200
The only class I know that can have its range extended to 1500 is the ranger through a trait. But just because you have two classes – ranger and warrior – and one has 1500 range while the other has 1200, doesn’t mean you can automatically assume every other class has 1500 range. I have no idea how you even came to that conclusion honestly…
I don’t like trahearne either, but for different reasons.
I have no idea who this green dude even is. As a matter of fact, I have no idea who these tree people even are; they simply just popped out of nowhere some time between GW1 and GW2. Also, during personal story quests, he does JACK to help me kill things; he hits like a wet noodle and just follows me around annoyingly. In fact, he’s more of a liability than a sidekick…. (I just realized, I’m his sidekick. Hilarious) And this scrub somehow always gets the credit for doing this, saving that, killing things when in reality, I killed everything for this incompetent scrub. So, someone tell me why he deserves to be the “marshal” when he hasn’t done and doesn’t do jack

I just had this problem as of today. I may have some insight to what might be the cause of it.
I tried it 2 times:
First time, the researchers (in the cave) got stuck and weren’t following anyone (even if the supposed patch fix made them follow the player, not trahearne). Trahearne wasn’t dead, however, he did die some time previously during the quest.
Second time around, everything was fine. The only difference was that trahearne never died in the quest. Trahearne’s death is the only difference I can possibly think of between the two trials I did. Maybe there’s some bug related to him?
Yea I always noticed the red “1” icon and always checked my mail after tasks so that those red indicators can go away. But it never crossed my mind that the game would mail me money, because for dynamic events, the money reward automatically goes into my inventory.
Anyway, is there a way to go through and check all of my mails? lol. It seems to only show 15 most recent ones
After 30 days of playing GW2 and completing roughly about 300 tasks between 3 characters, I JUST realized that upon task completion, you get money AS A REWARD in your inbox. And I missed out on all of them simply because I didn’t know. GG talk about screwing yourself :/
Am I the only one who never knew about this?
