Ahh, thanks for the info. That is a strange workaround, but I’ll give it a go next time.
With all of the crashes/disconnects that occurred, I’ve logged right back in. Doesn’t look like the server considers a crashed/disconnected player online for 5 mins, as I was able to get back in much faster than that.
I can’t seem to catch a break here. I’ve returned from a crash or a disconnect back into the same Overflow/Main server several times now, and have not been given credit for completing the Marionette fight.
For a specific example: In my last fight just minutes ago, my client crashed at 3/5 chains severed. I came back at 3/5, helped sever last chain, and received no event credit.
Has anyone been having this issue?
There’s an issue with how the game handles event credit when a player crashes. It doesn’t.
Was on a Marionette fight for more than half of it, crashed, got put into an overflow, manged to get back in, and then got no credit for it. Crashes are way more frequent with this update for me. I suspect the zerg aspect of the Marionette fights, but I don’t have any solid evidence to prove it as such.
ArenaNet should hold a staff meeting for this.
That’s awesome. Thanks for the update Bill!
Can’t wait! Looking forward to seeing what 2014 has in store for us.
- New Game Enhancement is being introduced in Q1 2014.
“We wanted to make the game more Guild Wars-y.”
Darn it! Now I want to try out those new faces for my Canthan Guardian.
Does the Compassion Training trait work on the Bear ability Bite?
Thanks in advance!
I want Sword/Sword and Greatsword on my Elementalist!
Play a class to a certain level until you find one that you really enjoy playing.
I enjoy all of the classes in GW2, so I ended up playing all of them to 30, then started taking them to 80 one by one. I’m on my last class to 80 right now.
Oh the new thief heal is going to mix some things up for sure!!!
Oh, oh, I know! It heals the targeted enemy and gives them a massive stack of Confusion.
.
Are you on a Thief? Thief is what is giving that dodge effect.
Splitting hat and mask/glasses is going to be a larger project, not even sure they’d be for it either when they can meet halfway and make a mask that has a monocle/goggles/whatever with it.
We really need glasses back for standard armour.
Wait… we need glasses back for standard armor? This was a thing before?
As I said in the first response to your post, they were an ARMOR skin option in GW1.
Oh. I only stuck around in GW1 til I hit 20.

My Thief!
Shoulders are from the Outlaw set, head gear is the Pirate mask, and the rest is the from the Leather set.
We need the aviators if they do that. >.>
Yes, definitely the Aviators too.
We have the monocle, and to a lesser extent some goggles, but no regular glasses that our characters can wear. How about making those Gem store glasses applyable to Helmet gear?
Here take a look, I Photochopped a Warrior wearing one of the Gem store glasses.
Here’s mine

Now that’s an awesome screenshot!
I just reproduced this bug and reported it. Use /bug in game to send it off to them. Happens with player characters too.
Ahh, thanks for the clarification!
- When we update the Flamekissed Armor Skins with the new artwork, any player that has already purchased the set and who does not like the new, updated look, can get a full refund by contacting Customer Support.
I “upgraded” my full Human T3 armor to the Flamekissed set. If I don’t like the new look, will CS change or supply me with the Human T3 armor set so I can revert back?
Trans Splitters. Job done.
If the T3 was transmuted to an exotic set, I believe trans splitters will give him the exotic set back, not the previous transmuted T3 exotic, but I could be wrong.
I hope that’s the case. I have a feeling if I did not like the new look I would not get both the gems and Transmutation Splitters though.

The Flamekissed armor is awesome! I love the animated textures and particle effects on it.
That was a fun trailer to watch, great job!
It was decided that we sit on the cinematikittenil there was a big update to the Fractals.
I think you forgot a space between “cinematic” and “until”.
I tried to play some subscription based MMOs, and they couldn’t keep the content coming fast enough. I’m spoiled by GW2’s updates every 2 weeks.
Did AC then Arah. Went to do another path of AC and got this error. I can no longer get into dungeons.
.
My Necromancer!
.
Hah! I remember you from City of Heroes… assuming you are the same one. (Flame Enchantress)
and nice necro
The one and only.
My necromancer using the Demon Masque, Human T3 Shoulders, and the rest as Acolyte armor.

There might be some people that are saying there should be more non-revealing armor for female characters, but I think the male Phalanx heavy armor looks awesome and would love it on a female character. Nothing wrong with that.
The female version of the Phalanx heavy armor is not something I’m considering at this time for any of my 8 characters, but that does not make it a bad set. The male version of the Phalanx heavy armor is fantastic, and really well made. It’s something I would want on my Guardian, and possibly on my Warrior. I doubt this will be brought over to female characters, so I hope there’s something like it later.
I think some people are confused. We know that female characters already have fully armored sets. We want that awesome fully-armored Phalanx set! Specifically that one because it looks awesome!
Has there been any word on this? I want that heavy armor so bad on my female Guardian. =oP
I saw the picture (https://d3b4yo2b5lbfy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/050bb01-new-armor.jpg) for the new armor and went straight to the store. I was quite disappointed that the female Phalanx Heavy-Armor skin was completely different.
.
The highest price for one of the new champ exotics is about 300 gold right now. It’s worth it. I was wandering around Queensdale today doing balloons and came across the spider champ. People were camping it Everquest style. It was awesome
/yell Camp check!
Xobartik: “fbss”
None of those! I’d pick Kodan.

I’m Asura it will be good content.
I mostly play Human characters. The level 20 experience scroll would be awesome. Would allow me to do all of the Personal Story steps for another race up to level 20, without pause.
How about changing some armour pieces? The same colour on different pieces may differ in some cases
Unfortunately there’s even a case where the same-set armor looks slightly different. Compare the Female’s helmet for the “Dark” armor to the Male’s counterpart. The Female’s helmet is a lot more specular, making it appear lighter when dyed the same color as the rest of the armor set.

Atmospheric lighting will change the overall color of armor. It can change from the time of day, to a developer set area, such as Ascalonian Catacombs (blue).
That said, it would be neat if the Celestial/Abyss dyes were less affected by atmospheric lighting.
