Unbreakable means you can use it permanently.
If you buy 1000 gems at the current conversion rate, you end up with roughly 10ish+ gold. That gold then goes into circulation and in turn raises the conversion rate from gold to gems even HIGHER since there is more gold present.

Yes, converting gold to gems raises the price, but it has nothing to do with people that actually buy gems with real money. And more to do with people farming gold in various other ways and then buying gems.

You do realize with gold turned into gems, gold is leaving the economy? You should rethink your whole argumentation.
When people turn gems into gold the gold cost of gems goes down directly because that’s how the exchange rate is determined. The inflation caused by it doesn’t equally deny the ammount it went down because the fresh gold is used in too many ways. E.g. if all the gold is spent on a vendor it doesn’t cause any inflation at all.

Bugs can be reported ingame by pressing Escape and selecting “Support”, then “Report a Bug”.
You can’t speak of supply or demand as the supply is infinite. I could buy a trillion gems and exchange them all into gold without the gold running out. Gems and gold aren’t traded between players but always with the black lion trading company.
Exchange rate only looks at the demand of gold and gems. If you exchange gold for gems the demand for gems increased resulting in a higher cost of gems in gold.
Gold sellers will always be cheaper than purchasing gems from Arenanet and transfering them to gold.

Well, people already got precursors before the event if they were lucky, so what’s exactly the point?
The rewards chest was a disgrace, i spent 3 hours fighting mobs that dropped no loot, then the chest dropped 3 rares and 2 exotics.
I think you forgot the 20-slot bag and the awesome accessory. Those alone are worth doing the event. With that said I totally disagree with your opinion.

I hope you will have to get 100% again for the star and the title but you will keep the items as they can be consumed and won’t get those items again if you already got them once. This encourages players who already had 100% to explore the new zone.
Wow, they kind of copy the Radiance mechanic from Lord of the Rings: Online which they removed later as it made the raid experience worse. It made it more desireable to have people in your group with the Radiance stat, so if you don’t have that equip you will have a hard time to find a group for dungeons. And it sets a specific path for the players, so they can’t choose another way.
I already was confused why they would add better equipment when they wanted to go for the cosmetic progress. But with adding a mechanic like Agony you have to get Ascended gear to do dungeons with Agony.

The exchange rate went up because more people get to higher levels and have better methods for earning gold. So the gold income of the average player increased. On the other hand real life income didn’t.
