So, I can’t do a search of “back items I can use for my level” right? I have to know the name of the equip I’ve looking for…that does not make sense ANet…How difficult can be to add filters to a search in a db?

I don’t want to open a new post for just a question, so I’ll use this one that is somewhat related: How can I find “back” equipment on the trading post? I’ve tried all the categorys with no luck, assuming back pieces can be bought and sold.

As a Char in medium armor, is easier to count the equip that have no issues than the ones that have it. Most armor is clipping with the tail or seems to “float”.

My life went better when I switched to S/P for leveling purposes. I usually deal with several mobs at once because it is faster to clean zones that way. Keep them always blind and kill them with auto attack/pistol whip. Use signet of malice for healing while you attack and #4 to interrupt casters/blind immune mobs. If everything goes wrong, switch to SB, caltrops and let the kiting begins!

I buy T1 cultural for all my characters as they level- although I buy it at lvl35 so they can wear it
- It has really good stats for that level and they don’t outlevel it too fast.
I use transstones if I want to keep the pieces, which I often do.
My engi is level 80 with a mix of transmuted T1 and T2

It is up to you really, if you can afford it why not?

The problem is, that I can’t, not without having to save money while leveling and therefore not having it for any other thing I need.

Anyway, I think it is clear for me now. I’ll buy them if I can for the looks and if the stats are better than what I’m wearing at the moment. I suppose that I will buy them all eventually when I get richer.

That’s pretty much. I’m leveling a Char thief and I can buy T1 Cultural armor & weapons, but the price is high for me atm. It’s a good idea save money for the set for leveling purposes?Or should I save it and keep using what I get from drops and come back to it later for the looks? The stats are higher than my usual equipment, but I don’t now if the drop equipment would rapidly catch them and make T1 a waste of money.

My Charr fellas said everything that has to be said. Every player using a Charr is annoyed by this things, and we should complain about it because that’s the only way to let ANet know that is something more important than they think.

In a game like this, strongly focused on the looks (all the end game is about that), this kind of things are important. You spend hundred of hours getting the look you want, and then you find that it’s not ok because the armor is not correctly modeled for a whole race. Not right.

Rapiers for Thieves.

I’ve noticed this too, it is annoying. My charr looks like it’s so stupid that he can’t wield a sword properly.

I’m 40 now and still learning, but with my short experience I can say that S/P is the best option for leveling in PvE. Group attacks combined with Signet of Malice results in quick fights 1Vs many and you will heal yourself while attacking,combining it with Black powder to negate melee damage. If things get really hard, use Caltrops and switch to SB for kiting and area attacks.

For the traits, Deadly Arts and Critical Strikes for improving your damage, but I guess this changes when reaching 80.

I’m pretty new here, but I’ve just made a thief charr as my main PJ, with the idea of making him something like a “human tiger”. I don’t like horns at all, so I put them as small as I could, and I chose no hair either. The face is very common (the one with the nose ring and the bloody fangs) but i changed it a little to look more like a tiger. Of course, the skin is yellow with tiger strapes. I took one of the smaller bodies, as the big ones did not fit with my idea of a Charr thief.
I don’t know if it’s very unique or not, because for the moment all the Charrs pj iv’e seen are black or white, and the npcs are usually too big and ugly for me, but for me he looks great!
