Friday – PvE/Dungeons

We are a PvX guild, and enjoy the kitten out of a fractal/dungeon run, But smash out a decent amount of WvW. Located on Blackgate Server.

JQ and SoR both showed up, and the fun flowed.

I think you will find most communities request a quick application via forums.
It helps activate you on the forums, lets you quickly learn what a guild is about, and let the guild learn quickly what your about. An Ice breaker if you will.

I’m not sure if KING require an application, so they may be worth looking at.

Just out of curiosity, what leads you choose to be on an EU server over an NA server?
As a Kiwi and GM of an Oceanic guild on an NA server, I’ve never understood the appeal to roll on an EU server over the NA options. Specially given the vast ‘prime-time’ difference between EU/OCX in comparison to NZ/OCX.

I did consider NOC but there’s one problem: you expect me to show up for all guild events. I generally play at least two hours every day, but if I don’t want to play for whatever reason I don’t want to feel like I have to play. When I played for KA before transferring to Blackgate, my participating in guild events was more of oh-guild-events-are-happening-now things when I log on, and I don’t make an active effort to actually be there.

Unless you’re willing to waive that requirement I’m afraid I can’t apply to join NOC. Sorry!

All we ask is that if you are online and there is a guild event running, you come hang out and join us. We don’t expect you to specifically log in (specially if your not in the mood for gw2) just to attend a guild event.
And @ NOC Real Life always comes before In-Game.

Either way hope you find what your looking for, and find a home on BG

[NOC]turnal are an Oceanic guild (Core are NZ/AU), based on Blackgate.
We currently have 30-35 active every night, extending up to 40+ during guild events.

We have our own Team Speak server, combined with using the Blackgate community Team Speak for WvW (a massive bonus to being on Blackgate if you enjoy WvW)

We are “PvX” participating in both WvW and PvE, with weekly scheduled events.
(Perfect example I am lvl40 fractals, but also WvW commander)
Including full Guild Missions every Wednesday night.

Lol… How can you play in that time zone and be that oblivious?

I have very limited play time on weekdays to play so some of these things takes me a while before I notice, normally I just assume BG is being hit elsewhere and that’s why they are moving.

I’ve only notice this pattern on the weekdays when SoR has to make decisions on where to put their small force. I mean if this is what they have to do to win the season then good on them I guess, but at this point I think I rather fight JQ.

You guys have just been picking the wrong maps perhaps? Haven’t seen XPK at all for… the last 2 weeks? (since that long-kitten bay engagement all that time ago) Maybe the odd 1-2 roamers?
You guys know we like to fight you, I’ll keep looking for you out there.

No disrespect to MERC on JQ or Tarkus by saying this, but its a fact that keeping the pressure on them non stop doesnt allow then to move around maps and obliterate SOR or BG keeps. .

Pressure or not, with the popularity of leagues (queues) it’s near impossible to move maps on a dime if/when <insert commander + his forces> feels like it anyways.*

*dependent on server and time zone.

This statement only carries weight if we had options and the manpower to execute those options

Blackgate always has superior manpower over other servers apart from Asian timezone, everybody knows this and people denying it are delusional.
