I once bought every last gold ingot on the trading post one afternoon. (500+, and then some gold ore to refine) I didn’t dare try to play god with that market since, while in the short term I may have been able to profit off the temporary low stock, in the long term it would run a very high risk since people can get gold ore just as easily anywhere in the world and on the TP. (1000+ selling!)

And I’m not a kitten.

I like this. More dynamic. Too often I’m zoning out in zones because I can predict where and when the events happen, what mobs spawn where, etc. I want to be running through Wayfarer Foothills when suddenly Claw of Jormag roars! No Pact cannons set up here, so we’ll have to run a few pre-events and gather supplies to arm the few Lionguard outposts we have available. Then the Claw lands on the frozen lake, but the cannons aren’t enough! Players spill out from all over the zone to silence this beast.

Much more epic, much more unexpected, and much more thrilling.

Best way to find other girls in a game like this is voice chat. If you play WvW, ask someone if there’s a voice server to use. (Tarnished Coast uses mumble) Guilds are usually chill about females. 99% of the time it’s proven that they’re just as good if not better at the game than the guys in the guild, so we do value you gals!

In order to buy something on the TP for gems you have to click once on the tiny icon displaying the price, then you have to click that same icon a second time to confirm the choice.

It’s a small icon that you have to specifically hit twice. Is this really insufficient to stop people from buying things they don’t want? All clothing items, not only let you see what they look like on your character before you buy them, they force you to, because as soon as you click on them they preview. Anything else generally gives you a fair description of what it is while you’re moused over it.

No, I don’t think people deserve refunds for any reason, and a buyback options is silly. Too bad for them for making frivilous purchases.

Pray tell, what is one downside to this feature? Anet keeps the money the user spent, and the user can exchange a purchase for something else within a short timespan. (Can’t hoard a purchase for a month only to exchange and buy that shiny pick, for example) As for the double clicking to buy, there is a thing called lag. It happens.

If you can give me downsides to this idea, then I will actually take your post seriously.

How about, to reduce the amount of refund requests and processes, a Gemstore Buyback tab gets added to the BLTP menu? The only rules and restrictions:

-The exchanged item must have never been used or equipped
-The exchanged item must be Accountbound or Soulbound
-The exchanged item must have been bought within two days

Accidentally bought one too many bank tab slots? Exchange it for gems. Lag caused you to buy too many promotionals? Exchange one for gems. This method recycles currency within the game and saves anet staff the time of processing refunds and refund requests. I can see no problem with this.

Hello all, let’s keep in mind that this was just one change, it isn’t intended to be the one saving grace of the whole economy it was simply a market correction.

Standard: We saw that dust was too expensive and it wasn’t on a correcting trend. We made it easier and more prevalent to get dust without any major changes to the current balance.

We wanted a shift of the supply curve for dust without change the balance too much in any other markets, we were making a change in pseudo isoloation (bisolation if you will).

The issue is that there is no balance in Orr. A lot of the loot that used to drop, which seemed very rewarding to players fighting difficult enemies and partaking in difficult events, is now gone. Rare loot has a very low drop rate, so low that it’s borderline nonexistent. Risk > reward in Orr. Even after Southsun, player counts continue to be minimal in these endgame zones. The scales need to be rebalanced so that Risk = Reward.

I recommend a case study. Strip a level 80 character of everything in his inventory and run through Orr. Now go through Orr and participate in each temple event, but also keep a count for what happens outside of the event chains too. Count:

-How many times did you down during this run?
-How many times did you die during this run?
-How many items did you pick up during this run?
-What is the total value of the items in your inventory post-run?
-How long did it take you to finish Temple Event X? (Where X is a temple event; pay close attention to Grenth in this one)
-What is the total value of the rewards you got from Temple Event X? (Where X is a temple event; pay close attention to Grenth in this one)
