I suggest trying to fill your mailbox on a new, low-level character. I believe character age and level may have something to do with hints.
I’m rather sick of seeing a very tiny group of native players work hard to open a temple on their server, and then fifty guest accounts show up to reap the rewards with zero work.
Please increase the karma cost for players who guest by double the current amount. I know this is unlikely, but I would also like to see karma cost increased by 5% for native players who did not take part in an escort mission for Temple of Balthazar.
There are too many players who reap rewards at the expense of other’s hard work.
Like the title says, how do capture rings in dynamic events work? Is it about ratio of allies vs enemies inside the circle? An equation based on “rank” of enemy? Calculation based on a stat?
Rata Sum is a very large, very secure city. It’s highly doubtful the Inquest or a haywire golem could produce such destruction in a swift and short timespan. So far, only an awakening dragon has that kind of power. (Zhaitan and the Deep Sea Dragon flooding southern Tyria)
In the future.

The maps for the UF and RS are nearly identical. The cube is simply flipped at another angle. Also in the fractal, Dessa curiously leaves the group alone and seems upset.
Furthermore, the Raving Asura boss states these specific words:
Breach! – Meaning Rata Sum has been breached, likely by Mordremoth himself or his minions
Broken! – The stabilizer holding Rata Sum at it’s angle is broken, causing the entire city to flip.
Falling! – The populace of Rata Sum falls from the cube to their death. Since the stabilizer has been broken, there is no artificial gravity to hold the asura in place.
Screaming! – Obvious. One screams when a terror such as this occurs.
Dying! – Splat.
Now, the Asura are very smart. Rata Sum wouldn’t fall easily, especially considering the existence of Mordremoth is known. (Crucible of Eternity green room, Infinite Coil Reactor green zone) How did it get to be like this?
Raving Asura: “All of us! Abandoned! You aren’t real. You can’t be here.”
There is a lot of speculation to be had for this line. The Asuran council abandoned their people? The other races of Tyria turned their backs on the Asura, feeling that they got what they deserved for attempting to dominate Tyria? The Raving Asura is just a lunatic?
Discuss.
Sounds like scamming since the player is tricking others into spending ingame money to warp to a waypoint for a nonexistent event.
Chances are someone wound up finding an unreleased Bazaar of the Four Winds item and has been trying to spread rumors to sell it off for a large profit before the actual release. I’m not falling for it.
I’ve already addressed this in another thread but still to contribute, with each team staggering their releases, I worry that the experiences, feedback and understanding of what works and won’t work during a release won’t make it into their other teams, so it’ll feel like the improvement of this concept will be lagging behind with each new release as it’ll be too late to take feedback from current releases of other teams (especially those closer to release) into account before pushing forward.
It feels like they’re trying to run before they can walk.
If the teams work anything like a true developer team would, they hold meetings in a conference room every few weeks and each team gives a presentation for what they have, and the other teams critique the content.
That said, here’s what I DO NOT WANT TO SEE in terms of temporary content in the Living Story:
Missable (note: NOT TEMPORARY, but MISSABLE) story/lore. I myself started playing Guild Wars 2 while Flame and Frost was going on. Naturally, I was busy exploring the natural world and had no clue what Living Story even was at that point. As a result, I missed every single thing to do with it and have zero clue what exactly happened.
I love Marjory’s Journal. It’s useless since I’ve already done the story arc for that line, but if a Herald had a similar item to hand out regarding Flame and Frost events, well that would be just the thing I need to understand what went on. The BLTC is growing into a huge corporation. I don’t see what limitations there could be to printing “newspapers” that use Asura technology to allow a player to see critical story events they may have missed.
I would buy a chef hat helmet skin.
Two Accounts - Account terminated on one

Hopefully they will address to my final request – and so that I can inform the community here – well mainly to those who have more than one GW2 accounts, of what to do, and what NOT to do.
Sorry, but for security reasons, we will not give you details on what took place. I know you want them; I know you feel you deserve them. But with our increased focus on cheating, exploiting, and other forms of abuse, what we tell a reinstated player can be used by people with malicious intentions, so we have to keep that info confidential.
Gaile, I wonder this myself now. If he did not know what he did to get his accounts terminated in the first place, how can he prevent from the same mistake again? The resolution states that the accounts were restored due to leniency, not due to no wrongdoing. Mistakes happen. What if he does the exact same thing (Not that your response is wrong, just that there are two points of view and I’m curious.)
Please use this bug to create a good buff for the Claw of Jormag event! Old events with new life breathed into them are always welcome in my book. Just buff the rewards from the chest too, or people won’t do it.
Have you tried adding a -repair argument to your gw2 shortcut and running it? Sounds like the map is corrupted. If repair doesn’t work try a fresh install.
Are you in NA? I will help you finish the quest again! Add me to your friend list and whisper me when I’m online. Can I ask about the other encounters? Where was this rampaging beast event? Were the invincible mobs from a hologram projector?
Here’s a deal: You get to keep the chance to introduce more players to WvW rather than make them tuck their tails and run from it. It is a much shorter puzzle. Players can open the vault door for other players amidst constant fighting. (It’s reasonable given that mesmers already use portals to get people to the top of obsidian sanctum) PvPers can still occupy the area in front of the door and in front of the entrance to the puzzle.
Mistwrought Vaults for a cache would be much more team oriented and FUN than the current mess that is obsidian sanctum, where traps and chokepoints are the name of the game.
EDit: The downside to this is that Mistwrought Vaults is currently in a borderlands rather than its own instance. Darn. Well if you guys like the idea you can always find a way around that obstacle.
(edited by Brom Malochson.9306)
Better location would have been mistwrought vaults, in all three borderlands. If one puzzle is too busy with fights you can try a different one. And it’s considerably shorter.
What is truly unfair is that I bought one rich coffer and got the recipe. Meanwhile, everyone else who is just now buying their coffers is ending up buying way more than necessary.
I feel bad that I basically bought the recipe with 100 gems or whatever the price is for one rich coffer.
You do know that you can talk to the golem outside the entrance to the puzzle and he will take you to the furthest section you’ve reached, right?
Would like t note that DB/EB/SoS sanctum is currently open. It’s quite peaceful and it seems people from both sides are refusing to join their allies in pvp or revive them after.
The Obsidian Alliance is beginning to take form!

I support this buff!
Heard multiple stories.
-Kiel bugging out
-Mai/Horrik bugging out
-Players couldn’t join/rejoin party already in dungeon
-reward chest spawning multiple times, allowing multiple loots from same chest
Topic title says it all. If an exploit was discovered…
Please rollback the accounts involved in an accidental exploit. I should not want to find an exploit so I can be a lucky sod and not worry about being banned because I only did it once and then dutifully reported it. Meanwhile everyone else has to not only wait until the dungeon is back up, but must also run it multiple times in order to find what they’re looking for.
I think I may have found a guild. Thank you all for your info and PMs! I did transfer to Dragonbrand, so if this one turns out to not be a good fit after all, keep in mind where I am
I’m from tarnished coast. I main an elementalist (staff) and have an engineer, thief, mesmer, and guardian in reserve. (Unleveled) I’m looking for a guild that’s casual enough to not toss out a player from a CoF run at the sight of his profession, coordinated enough to work through dungeons and events on a regular basis, and open minded enough to accept criticism and suggestion.
TL;DR
-Regular CoF P1 runs/other dungeon runs
-Regular guild mission days/nights (weekly preferred)
-Open minded (accepting criticism/suggestion)
-Organized events (Southsun, Dragons, Living Story)
Join CERN. Tarnished Coast.
Ah, good old seige mastery. The forgotten WvW skills that can cause many casuals and semi-casuals to scream hacks. :p
Wait people think windowed mode is an exploit? I run the game in windowed so I can focus on everything in my game view (20-inch monitor); also helps framerates. Lol exploit.
If there was hacking, not cool. However, whinging about it on here doesn’t do a bit of good. Report it and be done with it.
You make it sound like an isolated incident, but many people on your server are doing it. Why? Not saying everyone on TC is a cheater, but way more than we have seen from other servers.
Videos/screenshots. Not words.
Hope I scared you FA on FABL Hills earlier! I was the golem hitting southgate. Had a pointman on watch but by the time he said inc it was too late to port back Bravo to each and every one of you, been a bunch of glorious fights on FABL today!
Most likely you’re barely missing it. I appreciate the reply Ninya! I forgot that it costs more than 1800 gems when you have multiple characters. If you guys need someone else to come with you on a CoF p1 farm, hit me up.
(edited by Brom Malochson.9306)
I actually would appreciate if [RE] would pay for their server transfers before using gems they buy for other things first. TC is a welcoming server. You will have zero problem finding help to recover the gold, and we can also craft for you if you supply some of the materials. (Some, not all are necessary)
It’s a bug, you get credit for things no matter how little you do as long as you contributed. Would be helpful to know what server you’re playing on.
Never capitulate!
Serious post: TC has been spoiled lately with the lower tiers. Our muscle memory is starting to return, but today I’ve seen KN zergs in force with numbers rivaling our own, and it’s been an evenly matched fight—we’ve even been wiped a few times.
TC needs more training if we’re ever going to rival T1 servers like SoR, JQ, and BG. Numbers can’t be the winning strategy all the time.
Hey guys, remember the Risen Wraiths everyone would farm? Yeah, how did you think they felt? They probably reported it all to anet and hence the nerf!
Say NO to farming KN!
/jokepost
There is a sweet spot to stand just beyond the blue ice on the ground across from his head. I’m there all the time, usually with a crowd and there is constant healing. When he’s stunned, run in and cast a meteor shower and lava font, then run out.
In Arah story there is now a common bug where if you run too close to an airship cannon before mounting it, your character will be “in the air”. You cannot leave the cannon, nor can you fire it. The only fix is to be attacked/knocked down.
I’m having a pretty great time with my staff ele in W3. You can offset your squishyness pretty easily, but it doesn’t mean you can solo every player in W3.
Sentinel’s Exalted Gear (+Backpiece, Ring, Earring)
Knight’s Staff
Knight’s Trident
Commisar’s Manifesto
Dwayna’s Embrace
Ascended Triforge Pendant
Exquisite azurite jewels on all accessories, and the following runes:
2 Superior Rune of Strength
2 Superior Rune of Fire
2 Superior Rune of Hoelbrak
30/0/0/20/20 – Fire 6, 7, 12; Water 1 & 5, Arcana 4 & 8
Utility Skills – Prayer to Dwayna, Signets of Earth, Water, Air, Conjure Fiery Greatsword
I’m missing two sentinel pieces, but I’m at 18,575 HP and nearing 2k toughness. The runes grant a +100% to might duration and might stacks very easily. The result is an elementalist that takes a few hits to drop, and works extremely well in zerg situations where AoE is key. It’s a support, but a greater support than what would be expected.
Intricate Gossamer Insignias are pretty much T6 materials, right? Why not put them into the table with the other T6 mats when buying a T6 mat bag from a laurel merchant?
To the TCers currently spawncamping SoS on EBG…I detest you. Here’s what you can be doing instead:
-Upgrading towers/keeps we already hold
-Completing ebg dynamic events/killing champions (they drop good loot too!)
-Actually defending the towers you hold (Veloka comes to mind)
grumbles off into the abyss
Probably as drops when the MWF gets added to FotM as a possible fractal as one of the fractals you can end up in.
Was it confirmed that MF is becoming a fractal?
Will this item ever be available to obtain anywhere again? I’m looking to craft sentinel exalted armor for WvW, yet six of these insignias alone cost nearly 85g.
This thread is depressing on so many levels. If CD ever “improves” to the level of TC where players have to do sentry duty, players must be on VoIP, players must run around in at least 15-20 man zerg balls dutifully following the commander, and players must all wear PVT gear with masses of AoE fields/finishers for their utilities… I will say that I will be one of the first to transfer off.
If you dislike it, then you can pretty much except to be at a disadvantage. The Mists is at war. You can’t prance around a battlezone wearing your favorite My Little Pony cosplay.
That said, when I came into WvW at a low level (around 45, kinda crap when up against FA and DB) I did not follow the main zerg. It was a death sentence; AoE murdered me before I could even fire off a shot. Uplevels should be scouts. That’s how we know where everyone is. We have people who don’t want to follow the ball around—that’s fine. The least we request of them is to relay enemy positions in /m.
It’s much easier to hide/escape as one man rather than an entire zerg.
So around 30 minutes ago I faced off in SoSBL Garrison against 5 or so SoS. Hats off to you guys for the fight, I enjoyed it! Glad you were able to muster up enough people to take it back (I was the lone ele pinning you down outside N inner gate)
Found the guild leader for FF. It’s been handled.
If your guild is that large then why are you concerned about which VOIP the rest of the server uses? Mumble is a big thing to some guilds on TC. In most WvW nights I only see a few guilds on it, namely CERN, PiNK, etc. We have guilds and commanders who don’t use any VOIP program.
You can use TS3 yourself among your own guild and you will be perfectly fine using ingame whispers to communicate with other commanders. We do need some more SEA coverage, but TC really has no “problems”.
To each his own. Personally when a server has no relations to us whatsoever and makes no attempt to communicate, AND is winning, it makes me mad. Like an army of mindless drones steamroll us and they’re possibly inhuman.
Crystal Desert or Sea of Sorrows are moving up in their tiers but currently lack the numbers to remain at top competition with TC. Considering TC got crushed by SoR last week, I suggest strengthening a lower tier server rather than flee to a top tier. What you will find is a lack of fun.
If you guys would stop bickering about who’s more loyal to their server and just move to wherever would benefit you most, instead of putting up with frustration, then you’d have a lot more fun. (Whether that advice is good or bad is all opinion)
I really couldn’t care less about people moving servers anymore. Rant of the week for me are people who suddenly think they’re hot kitten this week just because they outnumber their matchups so they start handing out advice but couldn’t do jack kitten when they were getting smashed by a server that outnumbered them last week.
I’m not going to defend TC here, but here’s a tidbit from our perspective. In our times with FA and DB we made some friendly rivalries. We held GvG zergs and commander vs commander matches while our zergs sat behind and watched. This was friendly competition; while it is condescending to try to tell a server how to play WvW, from a certain perspective it can also be seen as an attempt to build up friendly rivalries like we’re already used to seeing.
You’ll notice that we also strongly encourage and applaud servers who never back down, who keep trying even against seemingly impossible odds.
The endgame for TC in these situations is one goal: fun competiton.
If you guys would stop bickering about who’s more loyal to their server and just move to wherever would benefit you most, instead of putting up with frustration, then you’d have a lot more fun. (Whether that advice is good or bad is all opinion)
