We didn’t ask to be here. We are only here because MAG did very well in their matchup with us(due to us losing guilds, who have since came back…as many guilds do with FA), and SoS got a favorable ratings gathering matchup the same week.

FA accuses me of making excuses then proceeds to make a lot of excuses. Not sure if that’s ironic, delusional or just plain stupid.

It’s not excuses but fact, Nox is correct whether you want to believe or not. FA fought hard to be in Gold, but in the last match before leagues, Mags really brought their A game and we were denied. Mags earned it fair and square and my hats off to them, and SoS got in by a favorable match-up so kudos to them. And to be fair, these results affected SBI from getting into Gold as well, which is the reason they’re in silver along with us.

I hope this leagues thing never happens again. In my opinion it really hurt WvW. I was happier than a pig in kitten to face DB & TC week after week. Although we lost most of those matches, it was challenging and fun and I prefer to be the underdog.

To anyone who shoots off their mouth and talks garbage and spreads incorrect info. My advice to you is to stop, it just makes you look stupid and it reflects badly on your server.

P.S. Way to go YB, you kinda remind me of Mags in our last match, really bringing the pain and saving your best for last, Gj!

EBay should have allied with SBI to take down YB, so they would have chance at 3rd place.

No. The best case scenario for them would be we i.e. YB and EBay be tied at 3rd place.

If they allied SBI, then no way SBI would’ve let Ebay win. That means, they would’ve gained 3 points which takes them to 18 and then say wins the next matchup against us (next week) which gives them 5. That equals 23.

For us, even if we lose both matches (this week and next), our score will be 23 – Tie with Ebay.

I forgot that Ebay faces YB next week as well. There is no way they would be able to take YB down next week if they do not gang up on them with the 3rd team (NSP I think).

If SBI can hold 2nd place and really push FA next week, there could be a 3 way tie for first right? I guess only if FA comes in last which is highly unlikely but it would be interesting. Would that make everyone happy?

Next week we face Ebay and BP (rematch of 1st week). Its gonna be tough if they gang up, but we’ll see

I don’t think FA is losing next week. Even a 2nd place for them would be a HUGE upset.

If SBI decides to not touch DB at all next week and DB gets a hint. You think FA can take on a double team?

I admit that it would be very tough for us to take on a double team from DB & SBI. DB seems to always bring their A game when they face us, including this week. They are very tough opponents. But, I for one would love that double team challenge.

Yeah unfortunately that was true. I always believed that the 2 weaker servers should double team the strong server. It would make the match-up much more enjoyable and interesting for everyone.

I will say that while the lack of real skill by FA being hidden behind massive blobs makes this matchup tedious at best, I will commend you CD guys. Your numbers may be low but you fight like rabid lions. Kudos to you and not giving up. I still have fun steamrolling those FA blobs when we’re outnumbered, but it only goes so far when they keep regurgitating them out faster than we can kill them. Eventually the wall of bodies gets so high we can’t walk over them anymore and they push us out lol. Keep up the fight CD and don’t be discouraged by FA. I look forward to more fights with you guys in the future.

Well in that case, I must say that I’m very disappointed in you. I do not know your position in HOPE but I do know that in my guild we do not act that way, especially a person in a leadership role. We respect our guild and server mates and would never slam another FA brother in open forums to feed the other server’s trolls. It’s just wrong. Doesn’t look like my apartment is going to get ttInternet before reset. I wish I didn’t have to move this week so I could have played against so old friends and new enemies more, but alas, a few nights of hotel Internet and laptop keyboard was all I could muster. Luckily our paths cross again in two weeks before leagues are over and we don’t see each other for a long time.

CORE is a zerg busting /zerg guild first and foremost. We’ll militia it up when we are driverless and we roam sometimes too. We spend the majority of our time theorycrafting for when we are playing together in a group of 15-25. No, we don’t claim to be elite roamers, and hell yeah I’m going to ignore your attempt at a 1v1 if I’m in a support guard build. It’s a waste of my time from getting to the group I’m supporting. You guys had the same trash talked about you when IOJ was getting big and we zerged a lot. I didn’t think so many of you would fall so quickly to the xoxo mantra of Lololololol no skill only numbers. There are multiple ways to wvw and we prefer to play in a large group of friends on ts.

Our transition to FA has been rough, we lost a few people and our guild leader within a week of transferring. We struggled for a bit, but Arch, Seeki, myself and a few others stepped up to lead and take control of a guild we loved. We are starting to grow again finally, and getting back to where we were before the transfer. We love the culture of FA where so many people are involved in wvw and on ts. It’s been incredibly fun and we can’t wait for leagues to be over so we can fight more even servers. Best of luck.

Very well stated, I couldn’t have explained it better myself. I too enjoy the huge organized fights and the skill that goes along with it.

I can see the solo roamers point of view to an extent because if all a player does in a zerg is press 11111, then yes I agree there’s not much skill involved, however I find if you are zerging efficiently and you are following orders given by the commander on TS, utilizing all of your skill bar, utilizing attack & evasive techniques, rezzing your comrades and keeping in mind battlefield situational awareness (i.e, expecting counter attacks, ambushes, flankings etc) I believe this is just as skilled as roaming (1v1) but obviously in a different way.

I personally enjoy all aspects of WvW, I roam as well, sometimes I win and sometimes I lose, but for me there is nothing like a large organized battle to quench my thirst for blood.

For a roamer who does nothing but 1v1 to say that a player in a zerg has no skill is just incorrect and they are in my opinion missing out on one of the most fun parts of WvW.

To my CORE brothers, after leagues are over, we will go back to having those large scale battles that we all crave (fighting TC, JQ, BG & SoR). So please keep doing what you’re doing, and don’t worry about the critics, you are a great guild and I am proud that you are a part of the FA family.

Telling someone from IoJ to essentially buck up and try again in this match up is like telling someone to douse themselves in zebra blood and then to go play with the nice lion. Pretty soon…it’s just not worth the trouble.

Most of this match-up actually I’ve been commanding, it’s not been fun since you know the enemy server has a much larger force and just attack doors with sheer numbers, but I expected this from a game mode with absolutely no balance.
To be honest, FA has alot more skill than SBI by far.
I’m saying this because everytime I try to raid in FA BL there is RAM,RET,BOMB,BURN,FTF,etc waiting at spawn ready to gank my guild of nearly 10, this makes me no longer want to even play WvW when matchups are this unbalanced and people have the mindset to spawn camp a smaller guild for the fun of it.
Also, don’t roam in FA BL, 100% Chance of getting zerged.
Meanwhile I’ll be off playing BF4 or something until Anet decides to balance these matchups.

I’ll tell you why I truly believe that FA is the best server to be a part of; It’s not because we are the most skilled (however we are pretty darn good) but rather, we are definitely the most stubborn not to quit and are loyal as heck. I’m not sure if you’re aware but FA has lost almost every match in the past 6 months (before leagues) to higher population servers (DB, TC, SOR, BG & JQ. We got our butts stomped on a regular basis. It was due to a lack of coverage, not due to the lack of skill or determination. The people that couldn’t handle losing left our server for “greener pastures” and now all we have left are loyal, stubborn, battle hardened SOB’s lol. We have a great community, we win together and we lose together but we NEVER quit!

I partly agree with you, our old nemesis DB are fairly skilled. I personally miss the old TC, DB & FA matches, they were fairly even, except TC had a bit more coverage, but they were fun!

Got to love waving at a guild group (WP) from FA just looking to gank guys coming to our Astral camp. I wave at them and one tries to pull me over while another looks to stealth gank me. Finally they grow a pair and start to engage (5v1). I dance around them for a while. I even go stealth near the cliff and one takes it upon himself (an Asuran Corporal Engineer) to laugh all the while I’m standing right next to him. Guess he thought I was running.

IOJ schooled FA tonight in keep defense in EB. Frankly, I’m mostly just proud of IOJ. We were disorganized and running multiple tags most of the night. FA is already in the karma train mentality and is getting soft I think. We had the map queued, and IOJ had (I’m guessing) 30 people on the map? Great job IOJ.

FA could be in for some rude awakenings once leagues are over and we’re at a population disadvantage again.

You seem to be forgetting that this is FA’s 8177168th week into leagues and the only server even close to a legitimately equal opponent we met in battle was SBI. You expect us to take every aspect of these match ups seriously? I don’t expect you to understand, but we’ve been frustrated with how little amount of competition we are getting, I am not an offensive commander, I have never been, yet I was in EB last night attacking a keep, what does that say to you? And that little comment about you being there when we fought BG, but not me? PRO has been in FA since the start, and so have I. I’ve been there commanding in FA BL since we were getting smashed by CD, TC, and YB because we just didn’t have the coverage. I was there before the IoJ transfers that gave us the numbers we needed to stay competitive, and I will be there even when the server begins to die, if it ever does. I admit, I was out of my element, doing something I don’t usually do, but at least I tried and learned from it. I do not, however, appreciate tagless CORE members throwing down siege keeping us from building what we need to get built, you were in our TS, we see your names. And I do not appreciate you making assumptions and starting something when you have no prior knowledge about me or my guild. You can come back with a better attitude about things and try to work as a team, or leave the server because if you can’t then it’s clearly not for you.

First off, I’ve been with FA since launch and have no intention of ever leaving this awesome server. CORE is a great guild with good people and I have welcomed them with open arms to our family.

Second, I had to say something about your post. Everyone on FA is entitled to their opinion and it should be encouraged, but I do not agree with slamming another FA brother in open forum chat for all the other server’s trolls to feed on and to use to their advantage.

All I can say is wow! All I read from BP & NSP are how much FA blobs, they have no skill, don’t roam, hide in towers, we are gold league rejects, blah blah blah. You guys sound like a broken record. Think of something original to say.

There is a simple solution to this however, stop being so bad and get better. Some of my FA comrades have even given you guys good advice on how to get better but you don’t appreciate it, therefore all I can say is continue to be destroyed and whine about losing.

The reason why FA is so good is because we have excellent commanders, we are organized, we communicate well and we have tons of experience facing the top servers. We have weathered the storm (just before leagues started) and we are very confident moving forward. In short we are a dangerous server to face right now.

I didn’t think any server could whine more than YB & SBI after we destroyed them, but you guys take the cake. I will however, thank you both for being walking bags cause I’m getting rich this week!

How wrong I was back on reset day. I am now very disapointed. Both NSP & BP are whining worse than YB & SBI after we kicked their kitten from previous weeks. All you guys do is sit in towers, complain about FA numbers, our blobs, don’t care about PPT, blah blah blah. We heard it all before, bring something new to the table will ya.

If you want fights (like you say you do) then simply leave your towers and meet us on the battlefield, It’s that simple!

Cmon guys, less PVF and more fighting for pete’s sake. It’s not too late to show us that you have a set.

I think SBI will beat YB but only due to coverage. It will be a close one for you guys. YB is probably #3 in Silver by the end of the 7 weeks.

Day #1

TL;DR

Sorry was busy helping to paint your BL red. What i saw from you was really not impressive, you run like rabbits when you don’t outnumber us. You attack our BL instead of defending your own, which falls as easily as that of Borlis Pass did last week.

Day #1
YB wins for like 2 hours on reset ONE starts PVFing and calls out one of FAs largest and best guilds HOPE.
YB then starts PVing about other FAers and wiping them all over the place
FA big/medium guilds can’t get all their people into maps because of pvers and reset night normal increase in population.
Day #2
YBBL turned into a wasteland after HOPE and others get into map. Havoc is running wild killing yaks and starving supply. Havoc is flipping towers as YB feeds bags to our zerg for almost 12 hours in your garrison.
Meanwhile FABL Waypoint garrison, bay, and hills
Late day #2 FA waypoint in your hills
Day #3
The slaughter continues YBBL hills is sieged to the gills and the waypoint stands for over a day in your BL.
Day #4
FA just getting paid at this point wiping baddy after baddy on YB. Waypoint hills again in YBBL. While the rest of the BL is on a regular downgrade cycle. FABL loses Bay waypoint for 10 hours then gets it back.
Day #5
YB is a broken/fragmented mess at this point. Barely able to muster a force, running more than fighting at this point. FA now trying circus battle wins just for challenge. FABL garrison now 5 straight days of being held, while hills on day 3 of being waypointed. FA turning to CDBL for fights at this point cause at least they will fight, and YAks has jumped over too to try to get easy kills, only to find FA there too.
DAY #6
FA dropping banquets to see how dunk we can be and still beat yaks bend zergs. Turns out the number is 10 stacks of drunk, as after that you miss every attack. Karma trains in EB and YBBL have reached epic propositions. Guildies are gaining 10 W3 levels an hour without booster and our paper stacks/badges are getting so high we’re gearing alts. and buying superior siege for future match ups.
Observations: I don’t even know if most Yaks players are good because your builds are so bad. Weather that first burst and they all melt. You’re in denial about blobbing, saw big groups of 35-40 pretty much every night. You guys had numbers to defend a couple BLs at least. We have more especially PST,OCX,EU so obviously PPT wise you weren’t going to win. You seem to have scouts, but no one comes to defend. The open field siege you guys drop when you have numbers is just well lol. What you should have learned from this matchup don’t PVF early in the matchup. FA was indifferent to YB till then. After that it was on and we solely focused YB at that point with all we had.

One thing I’d like to add is that of all the servers I’ve faced, Yaks have the most whiners by a longshot. A piece of advice to you guys, if you hate losing that much then get better! and stop making excuses why you lose.

CD; I know you are outmanned most of the time but I was impressed that you at least came out to fight and left the whining to yaks.

Seems like you FA guys can’t decide to try to ridicule or to compliment us – we care about neither. A server that drops down into Silver league either on purpose or due to getting beaten down, knowing they will probably have no serious competition in Silver, bragging about how great they are? Funny thing. Not exactly something to make you earn my respect.

You were “warned” about YB giving in? Let me guess, by your friends Borlis Pass? Now that is really funny. You guys expected to completely roll over us and that didn’t happen – neither did you damage our confidence.

When we roll over weaker servers it’s nothing to make me feel good about it. So i wonder if it’s your drop down to Silver that makes you feel the need to bragg about your “accomplishments”? Pathetic.

We don’t win by points this week, but you didn’t get the victory you expected out of this match-up. And that doesn’t surprise me. Be angry about it all you want.

All of which is hilarious when you realize they have twice the numbers as the next closest server in this match up, Yaks. I guess they only want to fight enemies who /sleep for them while they face roll their keyboards.

I’ve found it really amusing the complaints about this server using a crap ton of AC’s and siege that server using a crap ton of AC’s and siege. The fact is I’ve seen as much siege on all three servers keeps and towers as the others, and I’ve seen all three servers use open field siege as well. The fact is its a mechanic in the game that is available for use, everyone uses it, so why complain and throw it back and forth at each other as an excuse why someone won or lost a battle, the difference is FA tends to hold what they capture a little longer. I mean come on, grow a pair and get over it, its Guild Wars.

Overall it’s been a fun week of battles and skirmishes from the small fights to large zerg vs zerg fights, lots of bags to be had by all. I hope everyone else has enjoyed this week with the trash talking and crying aside, and I wish all good luck in next weeks confrontations as well.

Been a pretty good week minus the skill lag, good match up! I have one beef though….

Last night on DBBL, wont say what guild, but man… time after time DB and FA zergs found each other in open field. Now.. i know that sometimes you need to fall back to towers to regroup and what not to defend or for tactical advantages. But seriously… do you guys have to run every fight? I watched the FA zerg buff up with empowerment, fire fields, ect, and as we charged in…. YOU RAN. I counted about 5 dang times instead of fighting you ran and hid in your tower/keep.

So then we end up on Bay south walls, guess what you ran some more and hid in the keeps inner walls while we pecked away at your walls. Then you waited for more reinforcements from the south side of the keep, they got there, THEN you decided to come up after us, and died trying.

The point is, dont run. Fight! Getting into a good open field fight is fun as hell and we love it! Its not like we had a mega zerg of 80 people, we were lucky to have 25 yet.. you ran from us each time.

Especially when both zergs were on the north side of Bay walls and both zergs poped buffs and got ready, that was exciting.. we were like YES!! BATTLE… but ya ran.

In all fairness what you say may be partially true. There may have been some new transfers that may have run BUT, I can assure you that veteran FA players will not run from DB, you know why? because we hate you! veteran FA’ers remember back when it was TC, DB and FA for months straight. We remember when both servers out-manned us on a regular basis. We lost most of those matches due to coverage but not skill. Now the tables have turned a bit, at least when it comes to DB. We have more coverage and arguably more population than you and we are now destroying you, “paybacks a kitten” eh?

I for one love nothing more than destroying DB every chance I get, I will never run from you guys. I would rather die a glorious death than run from you.

It may be a little different on NSP, but certain servers like FA go hardcore in WvW.

Despite what people think, we didn’t ask to be down here. SoS had a favorable and lucky matchup, and got the spot we deserve. Now they are at the bottom of Gold and will probably implode(again!).

BUT, that doesn’t mean we won’t be out facerolling. Most of these servers have “Very High” population, its not our fault you people want to kill Teq instead of other players.

Be forwarned, we are going to stomp everyone and talk crap.
