I was told the exact same thing after submitting a ticket. I believe his wording was “don’t worry, you will not be stuck with that name forever.” I really hope it’s soon and an update would be nice.

Same here. Under the FAQ, they did say that they will eventually allow us to change the display name. At least with character names, we can delete our character if we really want to change the name but with display name, we can’t really delete our account/refund hence we need a display name change feature, and soon I might add. Would be nice to hear a confirmation from ANET.

I just want to know if we received a random mail from somebody we don’t know and it contains goodies, ie. food, dyes, weapons, can we just accept it? Can we get banned for accepting it if we don’t know the person(could be a botter)?

Ok, I thought you guys are testing it atm and are almost there since I saw one of the anet staff in game and his Display Name has changed recently.

When are we getting the feature that will allow us to change our Display Name (Name.####)? I know you said it’s going to be after launch(Q&A) but is it coming anytime soon? Even just an approximate ETA will be great.

As with my second account, I wasn’t able to get the character name that matches my display name despite logging in and creating my character the first second GW2 went live on August 24-25. This is confusing a lot of people in my guild as once people like me go offline, the name that they’re familiar with(character name) is nowhere to be found because it is replaced by the display name. Can you please activate this feature already? I’d even pay a fee if that’s what it takes.
