With norn, charr and asura characters, this feels like a fight against the camera (same as many of the jumping puzzles; it’s as if the people creating the environments and the people coding the camera never bothered to talk to each other – or play the game).
With human and sylvari characters, it feels “merely” as a fight against the random number generator (especially phase 2) and the renderer (which sometimes doesn’t render the red circles at all, and sometimes blurs the entire image unless players turn off post-processing).
Having to walk aaaaaall the way back every single time is the cherry on top of the bad game design cake.
Complexity and skill requirement is great. RNG-based instant death followed by repetitive walking is not.

I don’t see the problem with giving a player the ability to select a difficulty level for certain content (especially time-limited events). Players who want high difficulty can choose the hardest mode, while others can still play at their level.
It gives everyone what they want. Why would anyone object to that?
no objection as long as the harder difficulty gets something exclusive. it doesn’t have to be a mini, but a title will do

i did 16 tries on my guardian today, i managed to get to 8 orbs but the time run out everytime
Hey! Look at it this way. When I tried to kill her with my guardian with 3 orbs, I couldn’t do it. That was a pretty dps guardian as it is. 83% crit dmg and 51% crit chance.
When I did the 8 orbs on my guardian, I spec’d to be tanky 60% crit dmg and 39% crit chance at 3,016 armor. I was able to down her no problem because the extra orbs give her vulnerability stacks. And they’re not ordinary vulnerability stacks. They seem to do way more damage.
Trick is to multi task. You need to keep attacking her while kiting the spawns to the spots. You can’t stop attacking her on phase 2. You’ll notice the vulnerability help immencely
What separates good players from bad players is good players find ways to win.

Stop the QQ about not having the right class to beat her. It’s all about learning the mechanics.
You had fun on light up the darkness? People hardly have fun on the regular achievment if you really did have fun on the light up darkness you’d have to be the kind of person that loves pure torture

yes I did have fun doing it. Was it hard? Hell yeah! It took me 60 tickets to get it. But I did it in 3 days. 20 tickets a day or so, so I didn’t burn myself out. And each day I notice the big improvement in fighting her.
I thinking most people burn themselves out cuz they attempt a challenge and expect success in one sitting.
