Well, I’m happy to say that the JQ/FA/MG fight is finally heating up. Maguuma pushed us out of a lot of their red bl stuff and made us work hard to take it back (when we could), and Ft. Aspenwood is doing the same. It’s a fight again. I’m competitive…I don’t like losing but I also didn’t like the way WuvWuv felt when we owned the map. That’s boring and doesn’t make us try hard, just get lazy. A TC/JQ/FA fight would be cool (fingers crossed for next week).

Well that’s a fine example as to why spawn camping (especially with siege) is a little silly.

If they can’t come out and fight you, or even try to flip a tower, doesn’t leave you with very much to do, does it? That’s why most servers don’t do it.

I agree, and it’s why I’m just going to go about doing fractals and dungeon achievement completions this week. That kind of ‘festival of bad sportsmanship’ is a turn off and I’m not even on the losing side. No one likes having their face rubbed in manure and they don’t seem to recall the whinging and pouting that occurred in LA chat when we started slipping in ranks vs the other T1 servers. But this is what they do to severely outnumbered unbalanced match-ups? Karma is gonna be a b$%&*…

I’m on JQ and I’ve come to look with nostalgia on the days 3-4 months ago when we were complaining about only having neverending match ups with Blackgate and Sanctum of Rall over & over. Those days, we fought ….zerg v zerg, havoc teams roaming, and a lot of 1v1 or 3v3’s all around. Something for everyone, so to speak.
Even the times we got curbstomped by SoR when JQ’ers were farming Molten Facility is starting to look like good clean fun.

Having all the map your color IS NOT fun though. When you’re in WvW and folks are pinging map chat with “Hey, the grub is up! YAY!” or “Let’s go kill the skritt again!” there is something wrong.

It can’t be fun for the servers we’re against, and it certainly isn’t helping keep morale up for them or for us. I spent a couple hours running alts through the BL maps for completion and all I felt like was a bully, seeing the siege equips all lined up at the other guy’s home bases. This….sucks.
edit That pic is from just a few hours after WvW reset and I can only imagine the feeling the folks on FA and MG had waking up to being farm-killed. Way to start out the week, way to go boosting WvW participation.
