Please consider clawing back some of the changes to this event; It is my favorite event in the game; but its more than doubled the time it takes to complete now; to someplace between an hour and 90 minutes. I know because I run through 3 Food buffs every time; (soup for the condition damage.)

And every time I do the event I hear folks predicting the demise of the event; and I dont blame them; players are soon enough going to realize they could spend their time much more efficently whether in terms of loot or exp, or what have you.

I think their right, I think unchanged the event will basically die, I think that would be a shame, after all Dragons are the Biggest Baddies in the Lore. C.

You would still have to Cart the wp on one of your toons, so its not rewarding Laziness, it is only removing one pointless grind from the game; theres still plenty more; my own thought was a Karma merch perhaps in LA might be able to sell maps of say Kessex Fields, or Wayfarer, which would reflect the players progress on the original toon. Anet has to maintain maps for each toon on the accoutn anyway, might lighten their load that way.

And honestly, for the casual player that would benifit from this the most; I could give tinkers about World Completion or Legendary.. The Game caters way to much to elites as it is, and all you Elites would be on the same playing field so you would not loose and no causal player would suddenly become legendary because he could by a bloody map of the Kessex Hills. Please.

Gods yes, please its a very big world and having to map it from scratch with each alt is pointless and tedious. Please consider the OPs suggestion. We live in a world with Guns, and Airships, and all sorts of strange magicks; but no one has invented the map. You cant go to a Merch and Purchase a simple Map. Make it a Karma Item; theres some poetic justice in that after all. : ).

Something more like GW1 where you have a pool of available skills per weapon to learn, earn and equip would be very nice IMHO;

As to balance; how about stopping punishing people for being successful Dev’s ; I largely play an ele, I like a ranged toon, Im so glad they tweeked metor storm makes the most visually awesome skill in the game actually useful; but I have no jealosy for Zerker Wars if thats the best build; let people play it; dont punish players for finding the best possible builds.

For what to chase willo the Wisp you’ll never catch? Really just let us play!

There is a point where hard just becomes futile. Personally I agree with the op. It is a game after all; and its no fun to lay 10 min on your back while your friends battle someting short handed or worse get killed trying to rez you.

Your far from alone, this subject comes up time and again; I’m told the timers were much worse on release. The simple fact is that despite the absense of a working lfg system the devs will not give up on the Fairy Tale that we can just stick out our Thumbs and great Ques of players happy to help will just appear.

There are Guilds adverting in LA and other home cities that should help some. Queens Dale and Wayfarer are pretty active starter zones. I would make for either if your under lv 20 and just Lv up there you can always return to Personal story later; You’ll be Level Nerfed so it wont render the content totally without challange.

Staff has been my choice of weapon since day one, and Ele my fav class. Lately I have largely focused my Ele on Dragon Events; but otherwise worked on Leveling a War. I like the War for soloing, but in a group I still much prefer the casters role. Definately looking forward to the new specs. C.

I expect this has been reported, but I could not find it in my search, so at the risk of being redundant; or just to reiterate this is an issue.

Search Consumables, Sub search Food produces 2 pages 40 items of results, all Booze, no food at all; its not like food as a consumable is an important part of your game. oh thats right it is!!

I tried applying filters like -dyes, but your engine produces no results at all and appears to be looking for -dyes as a literal, really?

This is a really annoying bug that affects a really basic aspect of your game. Please take the time to address it.

I have two Questions,

1. Although this Event is my favorite in the game, I have to admit I find the 3rd act of this drama utterly frustrating, while I have tried various combinations of Runes. Superior Runes of Melandru, and or Sv. I just have not found a build that provides a reasonable level of protection against the Chill (degen) coming off the ever present Ice Pillars; if anyone would be willing to share a build that works, it would be most appreciated. My armor set is PVT.

2. Just a more general Ele Question, but it comes up alot here. If a player is down and trying to rise, and its impracticable to kneel and heel; do water spells help them rise at all or are the wasted before the player has Rzed themselves?

No I did not find it boring, I find it uttely frustrating. Im a technical professional and I log in for a little mindless fun; and as I said I would not deny you the exercise in problem solving. I’m only saying to the Dev’s for me no. fits like a left shoe on my right foot. But ty for repling anyway.

But as to the the combats, it was such a small percentage of the time and effort, no it was negligable from my point of view and even their it had to be turned into a puzzle; pull the Jelly into the cages, nothing like a straight up fight. No does not count not for me. If all the Dev’s get are “Oh that so wonderful” feedback they will think that, Im only trying to provide a balancing point of view.

Would it be so hard to write a patch that says,

If Left$(4, X)=“wwww” then MoveFocus from Chat to Screen.

Really I dont know your Programing language and of course the patch would be client side. but I know Im not the only person who finds thier toon Paralyzed because the input is trapped in chat. Look this is like 5 lines of code but Im sure it would really help please consider this small change.

Dear Devs,
Ran my first and likely last Fractal tonight, it was so not exciting.

It was not sooo wonderful to pick up a piece of Lycan and swim 10 feet to pick up another piece of glowing lycan and swim 10 more. so as not to be devoured by hundreds of little Pirahna mobs I cannot fight.. really hated it..

And the long string of Jumping Puzzles hated them.

We are at the end of the day, Warriors, Battle Mages, Rangers and Thieves I guess; but overall fighting professions. We meet the world with cold steel drawn.

You seem to have all but forgot about fighting to turn the game into a round of the British TV show Matermind. I absolutely hated it.

Now I know a good many people love them, thats great and I would not deny them their corner of the game, but I do want to say in the one forum you might read.. some of us log on to battle the Uglies. And I absolutely hated this part of your game. TY C.

I can’t argue I’ve run 4 toons up to lv20 in GW1 and pretty much only play C1, C2 is a Ele Farmer, and C3 my GW2 toon. .. I really dont find the motivation to repeat content after I’ve been there and done that; I will say I’m having alot of fun with a War Alt in GW2. It does not feel like such a drop off because of the Lev Scalling and C3 would be nerfed to the same lv. first thing about Lv Scaling Ive found I like.

I believe they are offering the player scaling, and I find it works a little better going up than down, it’s more catching up with the content, wrapping ones head around the lore. I was trying to reach a freind carting to a WP the other night, only to find its on a wholly other map; and I had to arrange passage via some NPC.

One of last weeks bounties was there and I wasted maybe 30 minutes trying to reach a WP so I would have it for next time, before I said something in frustration and found out it was on another map. Somehow I thought maps were more descrete like factions and prophs maps are descreet. So you can look at the WP in Chat, you can take a bearing and move towards it, but you cant get there; that was very frustrating.
Actually once I got there I spent about 2 hours merrily nosing about.

Its the little things your just assumed to already know, that cause more trouble than anything else; at least for me.; level scaling helps one Physically deal with challanges in game, but it does not make up for the actual in game experiance one may or may not have; depending on if one is a new player or running up an alt, no?

I would not Quarrel with Gnat, all would be cool especially access to the underworld; but as a player who did not buy the game on day one, I find I very often feel unwanted by the Dev’s; Tonight my guild was chasing some bounties; the First was at the extreme East Edge of the map, oh you haven’t carted that yet, the next the extemes of Orr. And I cart. I mean thats what I do, not hearts or crafting or what have you. Mapping is my passion, and after 6 months I’ve got about 40% on my primary toon. Its a pretty big world.

And of course there are new maps, and so much happens on the new maps.

I mean whats the point of being in a guild if you cant play with your guild because all the new content assumes you’ve already done EVERYTHING. Perhaps there should some mechanism for grouping people who join in a give week or month into a guild so their level and accomplishment even out; but thats not like any guild I’ve ever known; Im sure it describes some very Elite guilds but they would not have any problem. Is it possible once in a while for the live team to remember not all of us bought the game day one and have exausted all that content; but we would still like to contibute to our guilds when they take on new challanges.

As opposed always feeling like one is on the short bus when the guild does something because I have not completed ALL the content yet. Could we have some Events that dont assume you have carted110% of the world and/or are toting Legendary Weapons to deal with the mobs. I mean Fire and Frost took place in lower Level zones; and morphed them to High Level zones for the duration of the Event.

Excuse me for feeling like a bit of player pollution soiling your art project, but I very often do. Nuff trolling.

I love the Underworld best thing in GW1; would love to see it rebirthed here. C.

Right now I’m largely throwing my Axe, which has a short Cripple and closing while the Ugly is maimed. Still I think there should be a happier medium between doing all the work and letting ones toon do all the work. I mean my toon is an expert fighter, should I really have to Micro just following Ugly around the ring.

I’m not asking the Devs to have her to tumble about and all just move with your opponent, just try to stay in the Kitchen, as a boxer would say. So the player can focus on Skills and combinations. I really don’t think thats something a player should have to Micro, myself.

Yes, I have found that sword skill fairly useful, still much thanks for your time and guidance; I’ll definately look at that charge skill you mentioned. Given my own experiance in Fairly low lv PvE; I’ve no Idea how PvPers find the situation at all tolerable.

Warriors Sticking to Target.

I’ve recently started running up A War Alt to my Ele Primary, and its been fun; but just now I find I’m pretty much reduced to running her as a Armored Archer because of the near impossibility of Keeping her on or near a Target myself.

In GW1 if I’m locked on a given target and use a sword skill C. will step up into an appropirate range before triggering the skill. Its why I often Equip my Ele with a sword while using my DoubleDragon build; using the sword as a range finder to sticky her to the Uglies.

So I asked my Guildies, and looked for Threads about this issue, I found like 99 Threads; (no kidding) with Warrior and Sticking to Target in one or more. but none that puts the Question to the Dev’s or the Community directly; So I’m sorry if this post seems redundant, but that is my intention.

Anyhow my Guild mates replies, confirmed what I strongly suspected; That there is no way to really just lock your toon on a Target. (Please correct me if Im wrong here.)

Personally I think It puts Wars at a real disadvantage, having to Micro Manage something Ranged Toons can just Take for Granted. You might be bouncing around like Yoda on Meth; but Claudia’s next fireball is still going to find you, she not going to just wave her staff uselessly in the Air becaue your one Pixel too far away. Personally on this score I think the GW1 combat system was better.

My one guildie told me I just have to watch the bottom of the screen, because skills that are out of range are highlighted in Red; I know this, I also find this useless, my focus tends to be on my target and my toon, watching to see if a little red light on the very bottom of the screen is on or off is, IMHO, simply aweful design. I mean its not like someone going to try to waste me or something while my point of Focus is at the very bottom of my HUD. No of course not. Surely the Devs should have done better than that for us. Anyhow seperate issue.

Anyone with any practical tips for dealing with the present situation, or Thoughts about the suggestion, or other possible improvement Please RE; anyone who would like to suggest this is really is an issue that needs adressing that would be appreicated too.

Since Lv 60 I’ve been transmuting my armor back to student armors, because it seems to me the higher level armor all look like they were designed for a vegas show girl parody of an Ele in my case. I agree with the OP we should all have an oppertunity to express ourselves through our Armor, if s/he wants to wear something skimpy, but reasonably tasteful; cool; but give those of us who would opt for a little more modest/serious visual representation that option too.

BTW the female War in the current Living Content post is wonderful. More like her please. C. And could U please change the damaged armor, there surely are otherways of representing armor twice damaged besides stripping my charactor.

Follow Command

Look I know this has been mentioned before, but it’s really needed. Some of us don’t live at our keyboards, I cant begin to chat in group because Im all the time stuck wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww…
Give it a 2, 3, 5 minute time out; that should keep the people with afk issues happy; and I understand their postion. But it would help people say follow a leader in a complex dungeon map, or just to socialize a little in game. After all this game is supposed to be about grouping, and yet, you have no follow command, no useful lfg tool and actually muzzle people that dare to type lfg into chat; so why dont I believe your serious about wanting people to group? This would be good first step. C.

I hate Level Scaling, alot of people do, just as many love it, plenty of threads cover that, but I have not been able to find one that speaks to how best to minimize the effects.

What Gear, Runes, Builds anything best survive the nerf. How does one maximize whats left of their toon after the Dev’s have worked their black magick on it.

I ran it on my 56 Ranger (She’s 80 as of Sunday) last week with no issues in PuGs. I ran it on my 80 Thief who is not in Exotics. Later I ran the ranger all through the 70s in 50ish greens because I just don’t care until 80. No problems at all with PuGs, and I certainly wasn’t carried because there were times these geared 80s flat out didn’t know what to do and I had to save the day.

I don’t doubt your tale, I’m just wondering how there can be a huge disconnect.

Just the same while I’ve never been a fan of the Lv Nerf going down, the Lv Buff going up (to me) seems worse; glad for you, you’ve had a better experiance of it. C.

Dear Devs,
Ran MF with my Guild last night, was nice of them to include my Lv 74 in their party.

‘cept it does not work; although I’ve been anything but cheap; my Lv Scaled Toon is not wearing exotic armor, not having that oppertunity, and might as well have been wearing TP. My POV was time and time again jammed up my own nose, because I ventured to close to a wall, and god forbid I should see what I’m doing. I was in no position to contribute to my guild or our team with my Pseudo 80 toon…

The Art, what I could see of it when my camera was not looking up my own nose; was really good; and the Mobs challanging. The Final bosses seemed a bit absurd; how is one supposed to dodge when literally the entire space one is in is carpeted by a series of interlocked target circles, but my real problems arose from the fact my Lv70+ armor, geared for toughness and vitality; was simply useless in this enviroment.

Please, Please, Please give up this Idea that Levels dont matter, that Lv 80s can be nerfed down for Wayfarers and Lv 15s can be Blown up for Dungeons.. its nonsense. If you want to run world without Levels write that game, and good luck marketing it; but the present circumstance is nonsense. And IMHO is ruining my experiance of what might otherwise be a great game; and I doubt I’m alone in that opinion.

Its a shame this Dungeon will be gone soon, I might have enjoyed it in few months with a properly leveled and geared up toon.

Hardcore Servers

While I might not agree with any of the specifics some sort of Hard Mode seems to me a natural evolution of the game, servers dedicated to giving Elites a game that appeals to them, would have the additional effect of not making the game unplayable by casual players like myself.

Permission to enter such a server might be based on PvP rank, as Elites seem to gravitate to PvP anyhow, and so permission need not be bought through the ingame store. Anyhow I hope the Devs consider this idea and not throw the baby out with the bath water.

The problem with that is, that while you very often have players playing around each other; much less of people playing actively with one an other. Which is not my sense of how the Devs envisioned the game.

“Daily Event Mentor – 5 sidekicked events completed
Sidekicked just means completing event in zones under your character level (i.e. scaled down). Doing events in pretty much every zone that is below your character level works for this. "

The current Sidekick Daily only requires that I should compete in a zone I am scaled on, big deal, it in no way ensures I am helping or helped by another player.

I think this would be a more realistic option, you only get the credit if you complete X number of events, or kills while in a party with a player whose toon is Significantly lower than yours, say 10 levels, So the Upper Tier Player would get a Mentor Daily, and Lower Tier the Sidekick Daily. Your thoughts. My apologies if this is a repeat suggestion I did search. C.

Keyska.4105; Still amazes me that they leave out one of Gw1 best aspects. The skill system, finding, unlocking and prepping a set up. People would of had tons more to do then.

Absolutely agree, one of the best things about GW1, especially in NM, is it allows for a great deal more individuality in player and team build. Some system for capping skills would be most welcome.

I absolutely agree with the need for a better in game lfg tool.

Level Scaling:
I’m amazed this did not come up, but then again the original group appears to be Elites at a glance, and may not agree with me at on this point.

Still I know I am not alone in being frustrated at being nerfed down to the supposed level of the content then finding myself outnumbered, and outgunned by each of the individual mobs I confront. Like the Moles invading the Shiver Peaks just now. They raise the difficulty of the Zone considerably, but our stats as players are not raised accordingly, in their area of influence. So my ‘Overpoweringly Powerful Toon’ is easily one-shoted by the Invaders.

Personnally I will never agree with the scaling in the first place, but as it is such an important part of the game it will never go away, I accept that, but it could be much better balanced.

I’ll have to look into your suggestion about the mists, I dont PvP myself have no interest in going there; I still do believe (if some dev should read this) that a button that allows the player a brief in game pause without having to retrace their movements, would be a big plus for the more social side of the game, but if course there are work arounds in the present situation; but IMHO none of them are particularly elegant as a programing concept. And as PvE only player, I would simply prefer a PvE solution; but pending that I will as look into the PvP option you mentioned. C.

If you are in open world and want to afk then just log out. You don’t even drop group

but I can’t Merch, can’t chat, … honestly does not address any of the reasons I support the original posters suggestion. I understand about camping out on bosses thats why I suggested the Mechanism have a timeout and cool down period.

Personally I think the original poster has a point, I certainly have been wacked more than once Merching, or just saying gn to a guild mate logging off, and perhaps that is just the price to be paid in an open world, but a ‘pause’ button of some sort that could be activated if the player is currently not in combat; would I think; be an improvement; perhaps, with a 3 to 5 minute timeout; after which your subject to agg again, and an equal cool down.

This would give players a few moments to merch; or engage in the social niceties of being in a guild; or to just grab a cuppa without getting their toon killed. That or some mechanism to quick port to LA and then back to the nearest way point. Vs the Current situation where I suppose I could Jump into WvWvW (taking up space there) Map to LA, map back to Divinity, Jump to the Ruins oh and 20 minutes later Im back on the outcrop I jumped off just to say Hi to my GL; really the current situation actively discourages social interaction between players, something the devs supposedly encourage but seem to actively work against in terms of actual play mechanics; in this posters humble opinion.

Personally I find GW2 much less Social and Sociable than GW1; and I’m in the same guild, but in GW1 it was always easy to fall back to a safe space and say hey to ones guidlies and in this game it at times feels impossible, because of the ever present threat of being wacked.

Given GW2 is much more difficult to solo and not intended to be soloed I think something like an afk pause, that would allow for and encourage a little social interaction should be welcome.

If it was possible to chat from Charactor select I would have no problem with that work around myself, and It might allow me the oppertunity to choose my own toon based on who is available to team up with after all.

I completely agree with the original poster, but sadly suspect the Devs still believe PvE exists only as a intro to game Mechanics and PvP is the real game, and simply do not understand some of us have no interest in PvP of any flavor, or actively dislike the format. Still one more vote for the original poster if any Devs see this…,

and can we please have a way to Map over large areas without the enforced Map through WvWvW? How about a Icon direct to the Azura Gates Plaza in LA; after all
It does not matter how many times I see the WvWvW banner screen on my way to LA; I’m going to LA; being forced to map through WvWvW honestly feels manipulative and insulting.

There is a reason when in the Two Towers Grima Say’s “I told you to take the Wizards Staff!” Its a powerful line, why people who might never have read a page of a single Fantasy story react to it. There is a reason why if you Google Images for Wizard, I would say its a safe bet Staffs outnumber Daggers 10 to 1 or more.

I know there are some Gamers who have never read any of the Genre in which our game is supposedly rooted; all they care about are Stats and PvP roles, but I dont think the Devs are well served Ignoring the Genre.

If we give Warriors, guns, and Asura Cannons, and Silvaria Biplanes, soon enough you simply have created Modern Warfare the Tyria Edition, which might appeal to a very small market of hardcore gamers but will ultimately be unsatisfying to Fantasy and Modern players alike. Our game does not exist in a cultrual vacumn, nor do I beleive the Devs best serve their game by treating it like it does, If you choose to create somethig in the Fantasy Genre there are expectations in that Genre, you can meet them, ignore them, morph them, but they are still there.

No I did not make the Wizards staff an Iconic thing, it is part of the Culture, part of our collective vision of what makes a Wizard a Wizard, every bit as much as a pointy hat.

I’ve been participating in a Long thread about the Staff, and its relative value of lack there of as a weapon; I’m hoping this thread will not be round two of that conversation.

Instead I’m opening this thread to invite players who have had good results with the Weapon to please post any tips, tricks, cycles, that you have found that work for you. Builds and Runes are also of interest; and as not everyone in GW2 is Lv 80; tips on sub 80 Play, Runes and build are also welcome, least by me.

My personal interest is PvE, but PvP tips are welcome. C.

Glad it’s working for you, seriously, but it’s obviously not working for alot of us, and yes I do agree with the original poster; but my point just now was and is; cycling through attunements does not help if im cycling through all short, or all long range skills.

We were given attunements as a sub for Weapons sets, In my opinion and I think a fair number of others that does not work. I believe we got Attunements vs weapon sets
so we should not be tooo powerful, Just yesterday Im watching a Ranger (Lv 50) one shoting Mobs my Lv 60 is just whittling away at; sadly I doubt thats a rare experiance; given a good half of the posts on this thread we are clearly not tooo powerful by any definition.

We have been given weapons that are situation specific and we cannot control the situation 24/7 and so we are about useless half the time. I prefer to play an Ele, but I Honestly dont know why anyone would team up with an Ele in this game, not when we have to run off or hang back, like brave Sir Robin, to swap out weapons time and again, I know because I have to do it myself. In a game thats supposed to be about working together, why should you team up with an Ele, Seriously.

The I do agree about Scepter I have not touched one since Lv 10; Dragon tooth is a bad Joke, even half aware PvE mobs evade, and its the best skill on the bar. Staff might work well in WvW, but I have no interest in WvW, which leaves Dagger, which is useful 90% of the time but forces an inheriantly Squishy class to play Melee all the time; and is useless against champions, and suspect against Vets.

We are a Squishy Class we are expected to play back liners and we should have a decent Ranged Weapon. It really should not be too much to ask; especially as it is the Iconic weapon of our class. Sorry I respectfully disagree with our position the class is just fine but everyone who disagrees with you is obviously playing it wrong.

I do hope the Devs if they see how long this thread has become, will at least consider that this is a real issue in the minds of some of their players.

Some of you really need to play some of the older fantasy games. Daggers were one of the few weapons that mages were allowed to use. That and staff/fists/conjured weapons.

Also, the staff isn’t currently a “hardcore underdog” spec. It is made for groups/zergs. You have stun/chill/cripple fields and good aoe attacks as well as good heals.

I would not know, as another Mage pointed out above if all a Staff is good for is Group AOE. in WvW, then the Devs have not done their jobs or justice by the Iconic weapn of our Class, every Mage should have the option to Equip Staff.

For PvE I personally would prefer staff, but I have to play D/D most of the Time, except in Champion Fights where that will get you killed, and then. while My friends or temporary team mates are engaging said champion mob I have to run off to out of agg range so I can change weapons, which looks cowardly, is inelegant, and does not work for anyone.

Seriously Attunements are no subtitute for proper weapons sets having my choice of all short range, or all long range skills does not help me deal with the fact that you dont always have that choice. There is a real problem both with the Staff and more broadly with the class, and some of us who actually play the class would like the Devs to adress the issue.

Sonic Periscopes are Annoying

The sonic periscopes scattered around several zones are by far the most annoying thing I’ve ever encountered in a video game. Not sure what the devs were thinking there.

TY for posting this could not have said it better myself. Having these things around does not make the game at all more enjoyable, not for me, its just an unwanted unneed interuption to what ever I was trying to accomplish in a given moment.

I to have encounted them in the Norn (lv15) Starter zone; and I do agree with the Idea above why are they appearing at all in lower level zones? If you want to challange bored lv 80’s who might be looking for a new game, should they not be in higher level zones. Or is this some failed attempt to lure higher lv players into starter zones so someone is availble to help? I dont think that worked for yea if that was the idea.

I will be so glad to see them gone.

I’m still leveling up but…
I’ve played staff since Day one, and D/D only about 2 days, it is so much more powerful; there is no comparing the two. Staff really does need some love that way.
Still when you want to go Staff say in a Champion fight the present situation is aweful;

If any devs read this please give us a weapon swap button/option even if it requires a significant ‘cast time’ and cool down; having to literally retreat out of combat, and open ones hero inventory just to change weapons; well its painfully inelegant; and it blinds you while your fumbling round the open Hero GUI; again no other class has to blind fold themselves to change weapons. (Do they?)

As with any other class we need to have our full array of options available.. we are Ele’s not mystics; we can’t always know in advance what the next fight will be, and what weapon we need to equip.

Lastly if I may,
While ‘Area Denial’ and other considerations discussed about might have some value in a PvP situation; I would not know; what I do know is the Staff is the Iconic weapon of a Mage, I dont recall ever reading a story about a Dagger wielding Wizard. Some of Us are not self described gamers first thinking only in terms of PvP roles,

I dont think is should be too much to ask that we have real access to the Iconic weapons of our classes; these should be not nerfed to a speciality item only useful in a situation/format a good many of use will never particiapate in really. Sorry but the Devs got this one Backwards, make the Dagger build the Specialty Item that appeals to self described Gamers; the staff should be a viable option in the hands of any reasonably competent (not Elite) player.

Im a new player, about 200hrs, Lv 50 I have 9Gold 8 of which I bought!
I also have 120K in GW1 (not counting mats at all), I am seriously disappointed in the GW2 Economy; and what a total money sink the game economy is so far. I know at Level 10 in GW1 120K would have seemed impossible, but nothing I have seen, read, or heard from guildies tells me the endgame economy really opens up the way it did in GW1.
