ANET will take a look at the player metrics for raid participation every week as they do with other parts of the game, as weeks turn into months they will come to the same conclusion every successful mmo developer has.
Difficulty options for raids are inevitable.
The thing raid fans like us need to be concerned with is what will happen to raids 6 months to a year from now. I’m hoping they won’t be left to languish like WvW or straight off killed like dungeons and SAB. Time will tell.
ANET are focusing on Raids for the next few months, it’s important that the 200 people left doing them in a months time have content to play.
The forums were filled with complaints during the beta the lack of imagination with rage timers and the obvious issues those timers would create with needing to go zerker.
They either don’t have the resources or time to revisit this content, the same happened with dungeons, fractals and wvw over the years. My suggestion is check back in with raids 8 months at the earliest and see what’s changed.
You got to remember they had people helping them test that were actually practicing instead, they most likely have little useful feedback right now.
I know of one pug group that has beaten the first boss, def needs a LFG
It’s possible they’re trying to pick up the massive Wildstar crowd with HoT, it’s a courageous strategy I hope it works out for them.

When raids fail they’ll have to retune them (example: all mmos) to try to lure people back to them, the problem will return.
Def needs its own instance.
It’s possible the person who coded LFG has left Arenanet, that’s the only reasonable reason it would be left out imo
LFG turned to out to be an awesome tool but right now its so messey!

Okay, we now have access to the WvW schematics of chilling fog, armored dolyaks, and guild arrow carts. These all are apparently level 150 schematics and are not valid routes to level scribing with. At levl 140, the only methods available to level are either discovery (good luck) or colored balloons, which require guild hall decorations merchant level 3.
Right now WvW guilds cannot viably level their ability to provide WvW supplies without extensive PvE content and the acquisition of decoration merchant level 3. If either chilling fog or armored dolyaks were 125 instead of 150, this would be a viable route, as supply drop is 75 and depot sabotage is 100. There is a gap at 125 however which destroys the WvW scribe progression (and, let’s be honest, everyone else’s) without venturing into decorations and merchants.
Right now, if dulfy is to be believed, resonating fragments unlock at 150. That means that literally the only viable route from 140 to 150 is by crafting colored balloons. That’s it.
I wouldn’t worry about that, the wvw abilities are one use only and cost 40+ gold each.
No one is ever going to use active or passive items on claimable objects in wvw, only auras.
Why put absurd gold sinks in wvw, you want people to play it right. ANET tried it with commander tag colours and this is even worse, atleast you can keep those.
The tactics and improvements are temporary, chilling fog costs 42gold each and you can use it ONE TIME BEFORE ITS GONE

The cost of these like most guild hall items is completely busted but its cool to have your guild emblem on a bird man.

Any word of a fix? There’s hundreds of reddit posts about this and people are not running guild missions anymore out of frustration.
Angvars, proxemetics and the wolf rush are all bugged to hell and back. Out of 100 people doing this maybe 15 of us got rewards.

Just to add to my previous post, I’ve played these characters for 3 years already.
People want to use the new specs for the new content not play the old ones for 20+ hours then finally have the new spec only to have nothing to do.

Yeah, no thanks. What do I do after I beaten the new stuff? There’s nothing left for the newly specialized characters to do.

Hello, I write here, hoping that my post will be read by the right people.
I haven’t participated in any raid but I’ve seen a few high quality videos, in HD.
I won’t comment on anything about arena, mechanics, difficulty and so.
I just want to stress that, after so many posts about visibility, particle effects, ambiguous animations , then seeing Norn sized opponents, translucent(!!!), covered all over by explosion of colors, it made me very sad.
Please, challenge my mind not my eyes.
I’ve never really had a problem with spell effects or I’m just used to them by now but I’m guessing doing this is really time intensive as people have been asking for an option since beta.
Would be nice tho.
Enrage timer reinforces the zerker/kick this class meta, pure and simple, good ole boring DPS check. It’s a shame we are seeing a common encounter fall back of traditional mmo raids in the very first fight.
I’m still hoping Vale is the only boss with one, some of the other mechanics in the fight were pretty good. The mentions of gliding make me believe the next bosses won’t be as lame.

Ditch the enrage timers, it’s so played out by now. Enrage timers reinforces certain builds and stats which doesn’t fit this particular mmo at all. I can only think the team was short on time cause it feels like a placeholder (which would make sense it’s a beta) and doesn’t even fit the theme of the fight.
The break bar mechanic was kind of just there, i thought it was going to be implemented differently when I first hear about it but it’s effectively a tiny amount of extra health.
Those first 3 trash mobs are a good idea to teach a few mechanics of the fight but should probably have their health reduced and damage increased or something, they’re kinda boring.
People told me about it today and I thought it was a lie but checking my titles I now have it.
I dunno if it’s fixed yet but I made new characters a few days ago

We failed, surely this was because Pat didn’t have a commander tag! So we decided to start a fund raiser which lasted 97 seconds, Pat recieved over 300g, 2 swim boosters, the flag backpack thing and 27 stacks of black lion chests.
Pat was short a few badges needed for the tag so we decided on a trip to the source of all badges, EoTM.

Thanks for shedding light on this. This needs to be fixed, and fast. At the very least it must be immediately acknowledged by the devs as something that will be corrected in the upcoming patch.
Or that it is intended, dun dun dunnnnnn.
The hope is that it’s a bug due to comments made previously by devs on its use.
If it isn’t a bug rangers are will be seriously weak in any non solo setting even post patch.
