I think its amazing you took a very partial quote of what I said..which is amazing…my point of all of that was that there is likely the same amount of people in all the bl’s for all server’s, or very close, and you may just not be seeing them. The other day I was in FABL trying to finish my map completion, and ran by the jumping puzzle and say 15 FA just chilling in there in tonic form…that gives you guys the same coverage, but not the same amount of people actually doing anything. We have the same stuff happen in TC and im sure KN has the same stuff with them. In the future, if you’re gonna quote someone, quote the whole thing, or not at all, not just the like 20 words that best suit you. The 18 hour + thing was my way of saying I’ve played during all time zones, so have others here, and we can see the coverage of all those time zones and see when people are outmanned or not.

I have to say…there have been days that some of us in WvW in TC have pulled 18 hour days in order to catch up, myself included, and I can say…when pple say coverage is all that crap. I have friends that i talk to from both KN and FA and my friends from both servers say about the same things as we do in TC about queues at the certain time. Perhaps its not that one server has better coverage than another (in that there is more people in raw numbers than another server) but how a server uses those people. There have been times in TC, espec in EB, where there’s a queue, and you can’t find anyone, and its cause people are off doing their own things completely oblivious to the fact there’s a commander. Those kinds of things make it seem like no one is around. Maybe all server should cut the excuses, play the game, if you/your guild/your server think that having the best score isn’t what defines winning a match, think that, let people who think the best score is what defines a match have the best score. Its a game…let’s all just have fun…its disgusting how sad these forum’s have gotten, despite constant reminders by moderators to keep things about the match within a day the SAME people turn it into the same QQ fest as the past weeks.

JMy personal view is that coverage wars is what makes PPT trivial and meaningless, and I think having your key competitive metric in WvW as trivial and meaningless is bad for long term health of the game.

PPT is all about coverage. Skill becomes defined not by your game tactics or strategies, who took what tower, how a group maneuvered on the field, but by how well you can attract more players. Most Fort Aspenwood players that I know do not find enjoyment in that type of game. The ones who do left Fort Aspenwood.

I would generally agree…except for the fact that at 8pm server time…which i would consider near prime time since its still not a bad time for half of the US, and the east coast can still easily play then, we were facing off against like 75 FA at our spawn tower, then suddenly they vanished, and we flipped the entire map of KBL. That had 0 to do with coverage issues of overnight coverage stuff, one guild group left for guild missions and the rest kinda just meandered off. While you can chalk some of it up to coverage if it makes you feel better….when a map is literally handed (we took all the keeps and towers with only seeing like 15 defenders the entire time) at 8pm server time, its got nothing to do with coverage and more bad management of where defenders should be.

Here’s what I find funny…I see countless FA saying how TC is acting immature…etc…etc…etc…yet when I scroll up and down throughout the last like 3 pages, its like 90% FA talking and tooting on how they dominate TC zergs and we’re nothing but loot bags. Why the heck can’t we all just have fun? If TC gets to many transfers and gets pushed up to T1, then FINE, that’s it is, if KN/FA somehow get pushed down to T3, then FINE! Why don’t we all just enjoy the game instead of playing a “who’s bigger” contest? Cause…here’s the kicker…in those contests…NOBODY WINS. Please, lets just have fun, and kill each other. If you wanna complain about how TC is recruiting some guilds and getting pple, THEN DO IT YOURSELF, don’t just sit on the forum for hour after hour flaming and QQing about how unfair it is then tooting your own servers horn. Let the score speak for itself. As many in sports say…the players can brag all the want, but in the end..its the scoreboard that speaks the rest.

I think part of it is LOS and not completely not steady terrain, but I think its kinda BS they give us an escape skill that you can only use in situations where you can’t really be trying to escape from anything, cause the amount of times you have perfect LOS and perfect terrain and you’re trying to escape is near nothing. If they wanna give us a teleport it should function as a mesmer blink or thief shadow step where we can actually traverse the area needed regardless of it being perfectly level. Otherwise all it is, is a glorified AOE poison

well…you can if you’re doing lots of small to medium jumps, however, as stated above, necro’s have the ability to basically fall from any distance and survive. While it may seem “situational” for spectral walk glitch or DS, any necro worth half of anything can have their life force refilled very quick, especially in area’s like WvW. In WvW i would recommend not going that and instead going III in that slot so all your blinds give additional chill, which when using plague form in WvW (the only real viable elite in zerg v zerg fighting, since lich form is to single target and a flesh golem dies in seconds) it can cripple an entire zerg. For the DS trick, if you hit the shroud almost the millisecond before you fall, it won’t always eat up all the death shroud no matter how far you fall. And remember with spectral walk, you have to double tap it at a distance that you’re still close to the bottom, it’ll still kill you if you activate your skill 50% through your jump and go back up where you can still die from fall damage.

Hey, so..has anyone else noticed how buggy the wurm teleport is? for me it can say I’m in range, and like..75% of the time whenever I hit it, it sacrifices the wurm but doesn’t teleport me.

I haven’t had that much fun in WvW in a long time! The Epic Odinzu leading everyone off a cliff to fall to their deaths made me laugh so hard I woke the neighbors at 3am!

Then there was the double take moment of, is KN actually charging us in open field with… 5 Omega Golems? I’ll say this, it was totally unexpected!

Then as has been shown in screenshots, we just decided to go nuts and use trebs in place of rams at gates. That is when we were even using siege at all!

Ah yes, the epic charge of FA’s spawn to see who could get the furtherst in. I’m not sure who was laughing harder, FA or us! I actually won that, I made it all the way to FA’s spawn gate in TCBL before dying, farthur than anyone else! Hopefully I left a good loot bag for someone!

Great fights, lots of loot bags, good times!

KN tried using 5 omega’s on us at one time? don’t they know that in TC we’re the champions of golems….we take out 20 omega’s simply to please that almightiest of almighty’s, the golem god

That’s just plain weird

It’s weird but it basically means all necro’s will prolly just be able to perma death shroud almost as long as they are in a building.

Thieves are not the exclusive badge hoarders that you have to hunt down en masse. Get over yourself.

Says the thief who runs away like a scared lil girl instead of staying and fighting.

However the update on the 26th will ruin many thieve’s ability to stealth away, being that nigh every thief will burn their stealths in the fight itself and not have a stealth on hand to run with. It might just finally balance their stealthing. Yes it affects mesmers as well.

I gave up on logic and reason in this forum a long time ago, I don’t even know why I expect decent answers anymore. For the record, I have 6 level 80s, all seasoned and experienced in WvW and sPvP environments. The Thief I do play is an S/D setup that is designed for staying power.

You’re hilarious. Any competent Thief has no problem with mandatory Revealed. “Burning” stealths? You obviously have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Thieves will still have all of their stealths on-hand. They’ll just appear briefly whether they hit you or not. If the Thief has even a partial brain stem, they can deal with that, considering how mobile the profession is. In fact, 90% of encounters have Revealed up almost every single time the Thief exits stealth, so it will make absolutely no difference to any Thief above the age of 4.

I advise you give up your ramblings before you just shout COWARD! WAAH LET ME KILL YOU! over and over and lower the IQ of everyone else in the thread by at least 10 points.

Whats Ironic about this is that you blast a guy for getting personal..then immediately get personal lol. This game is the first I have ever seen where a DoT on a stealthed target does not reveal that target on its next tick, or after a certain amount of time (such at Shadow’s in Sw:ToR who use their combat stealth can get like 4-5 secs of real stealth then a DoT insta reveals). That would be a great suggestion. But that patch in WvW concerning culling will fix a lot. It was not originally intended where a thief could stealth, not cull for 2 seconds, then immediately stealth after. That being fixed should greatly reduce things. I think the issue here is not that the stealth gives thieves a greater advantage than any class in the fight during the fight but when the thief decides to just bail. If a thief decides to stealth when he’s at 2%, he can just vanish, compared to other classes where even if a Mesmer teleports out you can still see the target. A group I was with in a tower the other day had to spend about 5 minutes killing one thief only because as soon as he destealthed and culled, he was already stealthed again due to the culling issues in WvW. But again, that will be fixed by the next update. So before you go off on a high horse saying you’re the only one being logical, try to keep an open mind, if you disagree, say you disagree, but don’t say that people have no brains or are morons or w/e, cause that’s not debating…well..unless you’re a US Politician, in which case…please get off Guild Wars 2 and do your job for once

they also assume by the time you are doing Fractals of the Mist 10 or higher and getting ascended rings, ESPECIALLY from the vendor, that you have at least even googled the word “ascended ring”. In EVERY MMO I have ever played or otherwise heard about Unique means the same thing in every one, you can have only 1 of that item equipped. If you failed to do the proper research, or notice that there are 2-3 rings with the same stat sets and think to yourself “huh I wonder why that is” then its more your fault than expecting the dev’s to do 100% of the work for 100% of the players. The ONLY fault I find with making the rings soulbound AND unique is that if you FoTM enough you end up getting duplicates of rings and can’t salvage them at all, you can only vendor for a minute 5s. I.M.O. if they made ascended gear salvageable with a chance to get essence at the same rate as you do ecto with exotics/rares then it would balance out the unique/soulbind issue. If you are just to lazy/stupid to do a little research or fully read, then well…I’m sorry…Darwin’s work.

So…I wish we could actually do something with ascended rings we get in our chests that either we already have or that we don’t want to use. Like…being able to salvage it for a chance at mist essense or something like that would be fantastic. Otherwise…having a “top tiered item” that you can’t really use or you already have becomes a 5s vendor item.

I would think that the term Unique would seem to explain it all, you can have only one at a given time. The term Unique is also used in this game almost the same as in every other game, once you have 1 equipped you can’t have another.

I would say it can diff on your build. Granted I’ve never done a FoTM past level 30 Fractals, but I seem to do quite well. I use a power/toughness build with Toughness/Precision/Power gear and ascended, and I can keep up my DPS with most warriors I’ve ran with. For my I switch between Axe/Warhorn and staff and will run through some axe skills, use my staff signets on big group, hit epidemic, then repeat and i can generally get through a full few axe cycles before my staff stuff isn’t back. And I’m traited in a way that my death shroud lasts a long time even through agony and Life Tap really is an underrated skill if you have a high enough power and precision because you can crit your signets and life tap like no other. Other than Epidemic I tend to run blindndess/weakness wells that ill hit those then epidemic it onto everyone, and if I run with a Mesmer I have the mesmer hit confusion on one of two mobs and I spread it. I think thats the biggest skill for Necro’s: epidemic, because we’re really the only close able to really really spread a few conditions on 1 mob to a whole ton.
