What are those Orrian arch structures?

It’s a giant arch that leads into the center of Arah, to the center of the nation of Orr even. There are six of them in total, two can be found in Cursed Shore while one ends behind the Temple of Balthazar. They come together at the place where the Giganticus Lupicus is fought in Arah explorable.

You are a lore and GW factual God my friend.

Victory or Death and the Durmond Priory

That Charr you’re talking about is a spy sent to infiltrate the Durmond Priory by the Order of Whispers. And there are six dragons. Five that we know about, four that have had some noticeable impact on the world. Since you didn’t actually kill Zhaitan at the battle of Fort Trinity, Riel couldn’t have been talking about the EDs. Possible she was talking about his champions or land to be reclaimed or something.

Theres an ArenaNet member post from a few weeks ago which clarifies that Zhaitan is in fact dead.

I’ll keep it as short as I can…
If you talk to Riel Darkwater, the leader of the Order of Whispers, during the celebration in Fort Trinity during Victory or Death she says, “one down, four to go”.

In the Durmond Priory if you speak to a charr sitting on the right side of the main hall he says something similar to “5 against 6, the races of Tyria never had a chance” he goes on to name the 5 original races who fought the ED last time they rose.

Is this just Priory knowledge that Bubbles exists? The Order of Whispers claim to know quite a bit as well but the leader seems to only know of 4 other Dragons.

I’ll probably make an IC post later, but for now, here’s a picture of an Evon supporting Quaggan!

I’m stealing this and using as my Signature forever. If he wins it will be a mark of triumph, in the unfortunate and troubling case which he loses it will be a testament to how things should have been.

Cutthroat Politics Q&A

Anet is experienced in trying my patience over the years. I’m still waiting for some story archs to be closed from Prophecies, and now we have some B.S. Living Story elements that will take even longer to resolve yet don’t matter at all. Who ever cared about how Lion’s Arch was governed? This new Q&A gives us answers to something that wasn’t even canon until a few weeks ago and it’s only purpose is to sell the new book “Sea of Sorrows”.
The Bazaar of the Four Winds was the only LS chapter we’ve seen so far that hints at real lore like Glint, the Brotherhood of the Dragons and the Crystal Desert.
Get back on track Anet.
The only good to come of this LS chapter is The Fall of Abaddon, but that might not happen seeing as Gnashblade doesn’t seem to have much of a following.

My complaints over recent Living Story elements is done. Sorry for spreading negative vibes everyone but I’m still waiting for the day we see a real GW story progression again.

How does everyone feel about where the Living Story has been going (with all its dead-end characters) and who will you vote for and why?

Labyrinthine Cliffs: Who ARE these people

They are of both Canthan and Elonian descent as mentioned above, however as for WHO they really are as a group, well they claim to be the successors to the Dwarven Brotherhood of the Dragon with whom we interact with in GW1. Read the Trek of the Zephyrites on the site and this is revealed. The Brotherhood reveres Glint as a savior; to further the idea they are the new Brotherhood, simply go all the way to the back of the floating Sanctum and you will see a woman surrounded by children. She is teaching these kids about how wonderful Glint was and how she saved them all from being devoured by Kralkatorrik ages ago. Also, the Sanctum is filled with NPCs who who’ll sing a song occasionally about Glint and thankful they are she saved their lives. The Trek of the Zephyrites short story reveals that after Glint died these people traveled to the Crystal Desert to find her remains, many died in the harsh environment but they made it out alive with pieces of her crystal remains (Both Glint and Kralkatorrik are made of crystals).
So presumably these remains helped them form the magic they use in the aspect crystals.
One more interesting fact is that there is an Asura aboard the Sanctum who, if you speak with him, will tell you he thinks these people are hiding something.
Could he just be a jealous Asura? These darned Zephyrites built a flying city without crazy advanced tech! Or could he be on to them hiding Glints remains below deck?
Possibly they even have one of Glints two children aboard! (Two of her eggs went missing in GW1). Though they wouldn’t be babies anymore after 250 years, more like full blown Dragon Champion size.

Will PS ever continue?

I hope they at least have the dragons as permanent story, that we can do at our own leisure. I will be very annoyed if they make taking down the rest of the dragons as short term ‘living story’ which I feel is great as episodic content but is still unrelated to the main GW2 plot.

This. This all the way.
The Guild Wars universe has such rich lore and to think we’re worried about who to elect for a seat in the Lion’s Arch Captain’s Council is pathetic.
Though I will say that I’m hopeful now that Anet has given nods to Glint and the Crystal Desert in “Bazaar of the Four Winds”.
