Yeah, I remember all of those, we had 15 vs your 25+. I’m glad you think so highly of [TG], I mean if the enemy expects us to win with those odds it must say something about us — good fights though, we had a blast fighting SoS.

Daoc was awesome at lunch but unbalanced as all hell. Anyone remember being able to one shot sitting targets as an archer? Smite Clerics?
The 3 way template was new so yeah of course it felt ‘Epic’ as there was nothing to compare it to.
GW2 will grow and more features (taken from Daoc) will be implemented. I’m not going to bank on it being the holy grail of RvR type games but it has promise.

Also, someone above noted above how Tsym can do what they do and the ppt never really changes. I’ll let one cat out of the bag; that is one reason I personally got frustrated with the current situation. I will say thank you for being so observant (no sarcasm).
Anyway, this thread is about the servers still in the running and not about one guild. That wasn’t my intent. Thanks for the messages by some and I don’t hold an entire server accountable for the trolls that hang out here.
I sincerely hope YB and DB go on to bigger and better things. Do what you do and have fun while you’re at it. If you’re having fun in this tier rock on and keep on keeping on. If and when you hit tier 2 just absorb what you can and adapt. It is seriously a whole different ball game but don’t take my word for it …. get up there and find out for yourselves.

80 was the number that Coronbale mentioned to Chris, so that’s straight from the horse’s mouth afaik. I’ve never met another team so large that they actually caused lag by themselves (yeah we’ve never been to T1 or T2 ok), so I’m inclined to believe that number is pretty close. Certainly you are much larger than any other guild in the tier.
I never said that you got wiped by a random guild so if that was directed at me, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I did say that for all your strength you rarely get good ppt in this tier, which is just a statement of fact.

Been with Tsym since the DB days and I don’t think we’ve had 80 ppl in WvW at any time. Now I can’t speak for other times of the day but highly doubtful. You might see 30-40 Tsym with some other guilds following but that is as large as it gets with some minor exceptions (and those exceptions were really back in tier 1 days). You can ask ANY member of SoS who ran with us how we were severely outnumbered more often then not in the early days when we first got here. Note; we’ve split up our guild many times during the day but it all depends on what we’re up against. If you missed that or just ignored it not much can be said.
The comment about ‘wiping us over and over’ came from some guild named KREW.
Best guild we fought was easily BP. Sucks I only saw them one night but they did well and used some nice tactics that no other guild uses in this tier. Kudos to them.
Hopefully we find a server where we’re just 1 guild in a sea of wvw focused guilds and we can just blend in. The choices are out there and we’ll narrow it down. Thanks to all the guilds who took the time to speak with us.

Wow, now we’re up to 80 (pretty sure it was 800) and we get wiped over and over by some random guild. Hell, maybe they should be getting all this attention. I guess if it helps people sleep at night, I’m all for it.
I was going to toss some props towards Yaks Bend but apparently that slipped out the window.
Of all the WvW focused guilds that jumped off the SoS ship, we stayed the longest but apparently, once again, we’re the big bad evil empire. Makes for a great story I guess. Luckily most of us avoid these trash forums and I can see why.

Very simple. If a guild is not having fun in the only area of the game they focus on, the decisions are rather limited. If I had 10s for every time I got a message ‘wow, are you guys bored yet?’, I could have purchased Divinity Reach outright.
As a guild leader, you listen to your members and make the tough decision. If you’re in a guild who is having fun and feel challenged each trip out to WvW, you are lucky and no other decision needs to be made.
Now of course this reason is not as drama filled as some of the forum warriors thrive on but not much can be done about that.
For T3, hopefully Maguma can bring more WvW centric guilds during NA time to give both Yak and DB hell.

Not a fan of GvG but that is just me. I hate any predetermined battle where one side knows exactly what is coming and when. BORING! I don’t mind if Anet implements this feature in a totally different zone (like sPvP) but keep it out of WvW. Braveheart type throw downs are the best. I want to blow through as many waves of enemies as possible.

Good battles today, and like always well played Tsym you guys are the only good thing left on SoS.
We might be the most visible but we have some awesome guilds that help us along the way. AFS, Fang, SoV, SoX, Envy,etc. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few others. What we need is more of these smaller guilds to color our maps green while TSym occupies the zerg. Right now we just don’t have enough to cover multiple maps but we’re trying to get people out there. Love to see DB and YB defend territory and its fun for us to slam into a sea of red names. We had some epic fights over the weekend. I know we had a great Garrison battle last night where we had to whittle it down (slowly) before finally capturing it.
Tip my helm to both servers for being very good at sieging up and defending keeps, towers, etc.

I’m sorry but as a BG player I must say. After playing both KN and SOR recently, SOR is def a T1 server and has much tougher guilds than KN . KN has War Machine which gives them massive Ocean coverage , but that’s it. Choos and TWs core will kick your teeth in. Now if War Machine moved to SOR , points would be dead even every week and T1 would be locked up. I really like Kaining, but don’t try to take anything from SOR
Agree. Always been impressed with SoR (and Kain) so hopefully they keep plugging away and don’t get discouraged. Both SoR and Kain have some of the best guilds in NA. All they need is coverage.

I never said not to do any of what you described, I said not to take ‘everything’ and that the enjoyment factor between those being outmanned and those doing the outmanning are linked. If you take everything, post screenshots on the forum bragging about it, then you are going to have less people to fight. If you leave each enemy with something to fight over, they will keep coming out and having fun, which in turn is fun for you.
I agree posting a screenshot of a 695 ppt isn’t the best approach as its nearly impossible to reach that score if ANYONE is opposing you.
To the poster who expected more from TSym, not sure I understand what you mean. We seem to always get blamed for something so just curious. Drop your guild name and we’ll try to oblige.

It is 24/7, but I still feel for the people that play in those time zones of horrible coverage disparity. Regardless if its SoS, YB, or DB those are still players coming on and being able to do very little in WvW because of the coverage issues, or they are on the other side and bored out of their mind like any true fighter will be in that situation.
Everyone needs to be classy about it imo, give some respect to those people still coming out and fighting even though they are seriously outmanned. Just because you can take everything doesn’t mean you should (in a match where points no longer matter).
There really is no fair resolution and it has nothing to do with disrespect. Is it honestly fair to ask Joe Player in <insert any city in NA> to not take his guild out and cap towers, keeps, camps, etc because he plays at a certain time of day? We’re not even talking about other countries this also involves people on a NA server that actually live in NA and work different hours of the day. I’m at work now and DB is ripping it up. I don’t feel the need to ask them to ease up because the other servers just don’t have the man power to cover all maps. Out of my control.

I don’t think SoS wants to return (or really belongs) to Tier 2 so this Tier 3 is where we’ll be for a while. Played many O’ years of Daoc so I know the frustration of the night capping people complain about. But, the servers are 24/7 and who am I to tell someone when they can and cannot play. NA alone has people playing all hours if their work/life permits so no reason to even bring the subject up.
It’s very simple. If each person just enjoys the time they are logged in and only worry about that play time, everything else is a lot easier to digest.
There has been no shortage of battles during my play time (PST) so I really have no complaints regarding this Tier. As I said, the styles and expectations are different but they are no less fun overall. I admit missing the big hitter guilds of T1/2 but overall I’m settled into this tier with a beer and a giant smile.
Let’s keep this Tier rockin! Is Maguma coming up?

SoR is a great destination for any guild serious about WvW. Some awesome guilds reside there and any guild would flourish and learn something from these folks. The community seems pretty solid as well.

YB has some good guilds like WAR and CL, but sadly you will only see them running in solid big sized groups as a guild on reset night, and even so YB has not a single WvW dedicated guild yet like TSYM by example.

Let’s get this thread back to the level of respect each server deserves. Enjoy each fight as it comes and learn some tricks along the way.
I definitely see a difference so far in every tier regarding the style of play from each guild we face. Tier 1 had great guilds EMP, Choo, TW, etc. Tier 2 had some solid opponents in RET, WM, etc. Looking for those Tier 3 guilds that stand out.
Keep up the fights in my time zone (PST) and I’ll be content!

If this is one of my last posts in T2 for a while, I’d like to tip my helm to all the guilds on Kain and FA. You guys have all been fun to fight and never showed signs of quit. T1 has nothing on T2 just better coverage. With the exception of a few guilds (Choo, EMP, TW) in T1, the guilds we’ve seen here are just as good or better in open field combat. Hope you all stay frosty and keep Tier 2 fun and friendly.

I’m sure ZN will have a great time on FA, but why join a server that already has a stacked NA? A server like Kaineng (hint hint) would benefit waaaay more from one more NA guild. NA timezone is easily FA’s strongest and they proved it last night instantly queueing any map they pleased with so many players it crashed 0.o
Either way, FA will rock this matchup every NA prime time, they just have so many guilds online and enough numbers to pull off really crazy (and pretty darn clever) tactics, while also holding their own ground. To be quite honest I dont think I’ve played any NA force that felt quite so stacked in T2.
These fights are still awesome though, I’m kinda looking forward to SoS being replaced by a guild that could do better in this tier. It feels very 1v1 between FA and Kain at the moment.
This Tier would be so much more fun if SoS could bring more bodies to the war. FA can field some serious man power during NA. Fun challenge but tough to try and be everywhere at once like last night in SoS BL.
Both Kain and FA have some quality guilds that would hold their own in Tier 1. WM as always (much respect!) and RET (I think is the name) seem to always bring it. Hopefully both servers will taste Tier 1 soon. SoR is still pretty strong so it will be tough to wrestle that 3rd spot away from them.

I got hacked last night. Reported the issue immediately and received an email earlier this morning saying they can’t restore lost items. In the canned message it tells me to basically go play the game and earn back some money. Gee, thanks for the tip. I should start that long walk to the zone I was in since I can’t use waypoints!
Oh, almost forgot. I also found all my toons on a server in EUROPE!!!! So, I can’t get back to my home server (in the US) for another 14 hrs! Grrr!
