Hello there Cesmode!

Although we are not based on SoS, the guild I represent is on Sanctum of Rall. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World#How_to_guest We are a PvE focused guild, and although we have quite a number of members, we are set up in such a way that everyone in the community knows each other.

MadCast is a gaming community that is bigger than GW2, but we are working on growing our GW2 sector right now. You can check out our website at http://www.madcastgaming.com/ips/forums.
I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:

  • We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2). Most of our GW2 members are older with careers, and many have families and children.
  • We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Additionally, because we are casual our community is made out of all levels of players. We have many very new players, some new to gaming in general, and our environment is built on kindness and helpfulness. People will be happy to answer your questions and guide you through things no matter how basic or advanced.
  • We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.
  • Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.

If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum.

This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.

If you want to, I’d love to invite you to join us and meet some of our members. I would encourage you to join us in our TeamSpeak (you can find information about that here: http://www.madcastgaming.com/ips/forum/4-new-to-madcast/). Alternatively, you can private message me in game, and I would be happy to add you in to one of our parties.

If you have any questions you can message me in game, post here, or join our forums and ask there. Good luck finding a place for you!

Hello Dazrox!

I think the guild I represent would be a perfect fit for you! We are a PvE focused guild, although we do step into WvW and SPvP on some nights. We hold our members to a high level of maturity, but as always, we have fun as well! We also don’t mind having newer players like yourself at all, and even run ‘newbie nights’ every now and then Unfortunately though, we are based on Sanctum of Rall, but you can guest to our server at any time! http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World#How_to_guest

I would highly recommend checking out: http://www.madcastgaming.com/ips/topic/11885-booze-bolt/

New Player LF mature Guild [Sea of Sorrow]

Hello Animeaddict!

I think MadCast Gaming would be a perfect fit for you – we are a casual mature guild with approximately 200 members currently.

How do you find your bounty target?

in Guild Missions

Posted by: Daghet.8932

Daghet.8932

For MadCast Gaming, we split up and go searching for the two bounties, when we find one, we typically all head there and kill it – this gives everyone the commendations. Once one is down we head to find the second one. We generally find the first bounty within a couple minutes of finding it, as we spread out to different points on the bounties path, and head in the opposite direction the bounty is traveling.

Hope this helps

If you want to, I’d love to invite you to join us and meet some of our members. I would encourage you to join us in our TeamSpeak (you can find information about that here: http://www.madcastgaming.com/ips/forum/4-new-to-madcast/). Alternatively, you can private message me in game, and I would be happy to add you in to one of our parties.

If you have any questions you can message me in game, post here, or join our forums and ask there. Good luck finding a place for you!

Hello there Alex!

My guild is very active in pretty much all the content Guild Wars 2 has to offer, from dungeons, living story, WvW, and PvP.

Hello Skreptic!

Nice to see a returning player to GW2, and a MMO veteran at that. My guild is based on Sanctum of Rall, and we focus mainly on PvE, although we do have a few members that love PvP!

Hello to the both of you!

Looking over your post, I think MadCast Gaming Community would be a great fit for both you and your wife.

We are a multi-game community, and have a lot of players in GW2, we are based on Sanctum of Rall but we do have members on other servers. We are a PvE focused guild, but we do head into WvW once a week. MadCast Gaming is a mature community with a in-depth recruitment process, ensuring all of our members are friendly to play with.

MadCast Gaming also has a active forum – which may help your RP craving, we have posts going up with threads about your player’s story, in an RP setting. We do also have a couple of members on TC for the RP aspect.

I’d highly recommend either PMing me on here, finding me in game, or checking out our website for more details.

No matter the outcome, I hope you and your wife find a friendly mature guild to call home.

Good idea Azraelle, why not just kill all the PVE players, making them take longer to do jumping puzzles, making them stay in WvW longer.

I agree with Coldin, a simple wave, get the puzzle done, and those ‘PVE’ players can just go back to PVE or join your zerg. Don’t complain about PVE’s in WvW if you just kill them and not allow them to do what they came to do and get out quick.

Hey mate!

Although you’re looking for an oceanic time zone guild, I’d like to just mention about MadCast Gaming (MCG). We are a NA based multi-game community, but we have a lot of late night players, as well as oceanic players (like myself). Generally our popular times are from 10am AEDT till around 10pm AEDT.

We are always open to having a more diverse group of players and since we have quite a few NA players that work nights, our oceanic time slot has quite a few people on.

We have quite a large player base in GW2, as well as League of legends, minecraft and now Battlefield 4. If you would like to find more information, you’re welcome to message me in game (Daghet.8932) or check us out on our website – www.madcastgaming.com – you will see there that we are quite a mature gaming community.

Good luck finding a guild and I hope to hear from you soon

Never had this problem before, just started for me now – “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…”

EDIT1: Restarted a couple of times – now have the following error:

EDIT2: After getting the above error a couple more times, it let me log in. Not a huge issue for me, just thought I’d bring this to your attention.

Daghet.8932

That would be the Mask of Bubble Gum.

You obtain it by completing the quaggan event chain where you have to cook food for all the races tyria.
The event ends in Harathi Hinterlands where the quaggan known as Poogaluu realizes that there wasn’t supposed to be cinnamon in the rolls she made for the skritt.
Due to shame and embarrasment, she blows a giant bubble that explodes and chokes her. You peel off the gum and wear it in honour of her name.

Oh yes I understand that Sublimatio, yet a lot of players coming to the game see the name and bypass any thought of lore. That being said, regardless of the name, I still think there needs to be more guild v guild interaction.

I think another option – viable at that, is commanders being able to somehow select an overflow to use, so that they can find an overflow that has near zero people, and then people can join on your commander (with the squad function). That way we can get our 100+ members in voice comms into the same overflow, without having all the AFKs that clutter up each overflow.

Hello all and welcome.

I’m not here to rant and rave about fixing existing content, but I think this needs to be suggested. This MMO is called Guild Wars.. yet we have no guild to guild interaction. In fact, a guild is just a giant group.

Yes I love the upgrade system, I love the guild missions; although the Southsun Crab Scuttle is near on impossible sometimes – but I would really like to see more guild focused events and opportunity. I know the devs plan on having Guild Halls – and I hope you are starting work on them as they would be an AMAZING addition to the game, a place where your guild can chill out, visually see items in banks etc (who knows, your the design team, I’m sure your ideas are better than mine). I’d like to see more guild interaction as well, possibly custom WvW style events, that pair guilds up (even number of guild members on each side at once) defend your own personal guild hall.

I’m not saying I have the answers, or the ideas that should be implemented, but I would love to see more on guilds, bringing different guilds together for a better overall server community.

Plus.. Guild Halls could be an amazing t5 mat sink, I mean, costs your guild x amount of mithril to upgrade your hall to a fort (?? or castle etc) considering how cheap the stuff is currently, set the amount required high enough and kitten , a increase both price and worth of these currently underwhelming items.

Anyway, just my thoughts, yes its all over the place as I didn’t pre-type this, but I’d like to see what everyone else thinks about more guild interactions. Guild v Guild etc.

Post away!
