Hello anyone that is reading this!

My name is Dethroat, I am the Leader of War is Hell [WAR], and I am one of the Leaders in the Yak’s Bend Alliance. If you haven’t heard of the Alliance before, we are a large group of Guilds, that play WvW together, and work together as a server instead of doing individual things. We are all on a 1000+ slot Mumble Server, and have weekly WvW meetings.

We are in need of some Oceanic Guilds to come on when most of our guys cannot. We seem to have a problem when it comes to manpower in the early hours of the morning.

As one of the leading Commanders on Yak’s Bend, the only thing I can really say about all of this talk is welcome to the higher tiers. Regardless if you moved up, or moved down, you’re bound to run into some competitive and well cooperating opponents.

I’m not one to sit here and say any of you guys are bad players, and I wouldn’t expect you to say the same about us. I’ve had some great fun these last few days fighting against you FA guys. You guys hit us when we least expect it with great numbers, and sometimes that’s all you need. As it’s been said in earlier posts, we are very very good at communicating, and have been getting better at it. If we notice a large zerg get on the map, and we are outmanned, the second we see them, we tell our other Team Leaders and Commanders via a VOIP, and within minutes, we have backup.

Think about what the even higher tiers are doing, do you really think they aren’t doing this? Do you really think they aren’t spending ridiculous amounts of money to do big attacks to lock down a map? Well if you think that, you’re probably wrong. As you progress higher in the tiers, you’re going to run into well developed servers. We may not be as good as those guys, but we are working on it!

Always learn from your mistakes, and study the enemy. If you see we have over 40 guys defending one keep or tower you’re attacking, try sending a smaller zerg to take another tower, split up our group. Learn how to win by outsmarting your enemy. Do you think we like having a 100k lead? I personally don’t. I’d rather have a small lead, or even be behind, so that way the fight keeps up the whole week.

My recommendations is, invest in a large VOIP, maybe talk to the larger Guilds about buying one. Once you get that VOIP, advertise it in WvW, and PvE, get your server actively participating on the VOIP. Get all of your Commanders have their Guild move over to that VOIP when they are in WvW. Communication is key!

Notice that there are two guilds on these golems, though it was mostly WAR piloting them. By the end of this rush, four guilds were working together. Whether piloting the golems, protecting them, portaling them, whatever. Again, this is what is making Yak’s Bend strong.

That’s SoR for you. Happened to us tons.

The fact that you say Yak’s Bend will give is up if you take the lead is misleading.

We gave up last week due to the 200k point different we lost within the first night of that rotation, and as the week went on, that difference went up to 400k. SoR gained a HUGE Guild last week and was able to have 24/7 coverage of everything with 40+ man zergs.

It’s not the fact that we “gave up,” its the fact that even if we tried to fight, it wouldn’t of gotten us in the lead.

lol only took YB 7 hours of out-numbering us with 3 orbs to take our keep… they waited until we had no defenders and ported 20 golems. I guess you finally learned that’s the only way you will take a keep from us haha

I took part in that, and I’m from YB. I have a video of the Golem attack, and it was actually 5. I’ll post the video later.

I would actually like to see some dungeon runs from a condition necro, or whatever spec your running (doesn’t have to be conditions) I’m interested in seeing how others are playing their necros in dungeons. I know I am loving mine in dungeons, its such a huge asset to a group to be able to pull heat of others, I’m running 30 0 20 (in toughness and protection on wells) 0 and 20 in death shroud tree, 25% slower burn in DS a slice blast pierce and vuln. So I’d definitely be interested in seeing other playstyles.

I will be making some videos soon about dungeons, it just takes a lot of editing :P, I have a few I’m working on :P

I’m still getting used to the whole “making videos” thing, so I’m trying to bring as much information as I can into my videos, yeah, I like posting the gameplay, but if there is certain builds, or dungeon runs, or anything like that, that I like, I try to share it with everyone else, because I’d think they’d like it too.

No harm done with any of the responses, I love them all!

So after the first video I made, thanks to you guys, I realized that my build wasn’t working out that well in my favor, so after messing around a tad, I now know that I have one of the best builds for condition damage for a Necromancer. I hope you guys enjoy it!

After reviewing some comments on the video itself on here, and on youtube, I decided to respec my guy, and he is full conditions. I will post a new video later!

Hey everyone, just responding to some comments,

This video was just me playing around in Frostgorge. I wasn’t really trying to get a message across, I just like recording myself playing the game. This was before the build I am currently using.

For Tekomancer. There is no real goal of this video, just some random gameplay I recorded. Just figured I would share with some people that play necro’s.

For BrickforLife. I love the analysis, I’m not sure if it’s all sarcasm or actual fact, so I’ll assume its fact :P. I do switch weapons a lot more now due to my new build. The build that I had before was terrible for conditioning which is what I was I was going for, but after my rebuild, I do a lot more damage now due to my conditions than in this video.

I apologize for any confusion, or hate towards the video or me. I just figured maybe some fellow necro’s would like to see some gameplay :P.

I appreciate the comments though, and would love to hear back from you guys about what you would like to see in any of my future videos.

I’ve played classes that use the pistols, and my main is a Necro. I personally don’t think that the pistols would fit the class as a whole. Considering our class is based on conditioning damage, and stuff like that, there is really no need for that kind of stuff.

I like the idea, I just don’t think it fits well with the class.

So, I just got my Carrion armor for my necromancer. It looks pretty sick. I’m apart of this Guild though, and they just got the Armor contract. So I decided to buy the Light Guild Armor and transmute my Carrion armor chest to have the Guild Emblem on it. Since there was no Preview option to see what it looked like, I transmuted my chest and realized it looked REALLY stupid. Is there anyway I can undo the transmute and get my original chest piece back?

I purchased some Gems yesterday and I went to buy a dye pack. Before I bought the dye pack, I converted some Gems to Gold. Before I even did any of these things, I noticed I couldn’t see the the amount of Gems I had. I purchased the dye pack, and it then took my Gems, because I tried converting more to Gold, and I was unable to. I was expecting some mail that included my dye, but I never received it. I also noticed later on that night when I went to sell some stuff on the Trading Post, it wouldn’t load the “Sell on Trading Post” menu, and I was unable to sell anything.
