Ye knights gear and 0/0/30/20/20 is bad.
Still out performs every other build like the full zerk meditation guards that drop consistently and I know what is coming “THEY still out DPS you when dead.” uh yah they don’t my hammer crits for a consistent 4-5k with auto (hammer guard is best DPS for guardian if you disagree you wrong.) The 30 into valor allows strength in numbers (which means alot for certain other classes) plus retributive armor and purity. If i really feel the need to I can swap to AH but rarely do.
The knights stats are to draw aggro so the others that are full glass can just dance around the boss. And that stat works on several bosses who’s main way of aggroing is based on toughness and my dps doesn’t suffer at all.And I dont care if everyone and their mom says “your build is bad don’t take that l2p noob” if you offer something to the group be it a trait that gives a stat bonus (empower allies, spotter, strength in numbers), Fields and blasts (fire/water) , Reflects/missile absorption, boon support, condi clear, or group heals you are great with me.
The builds I am having issues with are the ones that do absolutely jack diddly squat for the group. Every single class in this game brings something for support. I am not asking for everyone to be a hard core dungeon “l33t” build. Because then everyone would do four warriors and a mes/guard. I’m asking classes to realize that even if they don’t have the greatest group support they can still bring something besides their auto attack to parties.
Lol gg. This is a perfect example of a terrible player.
If you need heals from other party members you should learn to dodge.
It’s not that I need heals. I run a knights/zerker hammer staff guard with good group healing and perma AOE protection with the hammer symbol.
What is nice though is seeing a ranger or engi have a waterfield that I can blast for nice AOE group heals. If it’s the ranger I can blast it twice before it disappears. That is a very nice situation to have you see.
lol you need to get a good build as well.
Knights/zerk combo with ruby orbs on the armor is bad? Guaranteed 100% crit damage is bad? AOE protection from hammer is bad? Staff support is bad? Shouts and consecrations are bad? Actively swapping skills and weapons depending on the fight unlike half the pugs I group with is bad? Wow I must be terrible.
I bring no DPS, no support, no group condi clear, no boons (HA!), and no reflects… (sarcasm).Yeah I’m so bad with my consistent crits granting might to allies permanently…. Anytime I build for dungeons I think (What does the group need?)
And if people give me suggestions on my build when they ask what I run (which btw is 0/0/30/20/20) I take them into consideration and ask what they do for the group. The only concession I make is every now and then switching to 10 points around depending on which dungeon but that build gives good group support as well as good damage…
Yes.

The difference is more dps but more risk. Shield is safer and the 30 second cd doesnt mean anything if you use your dodges and any other skills that block or evade attacks efficiently.
A flaw with the sword is if you get nailed by multiple projectiles you have to dodge to avoid being killed since sword is one block. What sword is really good for is his attack where he targets a person with one projectile.
tl;dr
sword = more dps, more risk
shield = less dps but safer
This is completely wrong sword blocks an unlimited number of attacks during the duration of the block, just like shield does. It just has a slightly shorter duration. Sword is MUCH better than shield in dps and the fact that you can use it twice as often.
The cool down is half as long, and the duration of the block is enough to block most of his attacks.
Lol i just wanted to ask a question and jet it has become another anti bear-bow thread^^
One cannot have too many anti bearbow threads
You know you could just probably go to the wiki instead of making someone here explain it to you…
I can’t understand why you would want to make yourself worse…Ranged and support are both bad. By doing more dps your supporting your team WAY more than you ever could by healing from 1200 range…
Pop stability when running through a crowd of mobs, if you get knocked down pop the stun breaker. When you see them charging the animation, dodge. Also use any mobility skills you have to charge through large groups.
If you think your good enough, apply for a top tier dungeon guild. DnT and LOD are good guilds if your US, if your EU try rT or HC.
Thief is the highest single target dps when fully buffed, it takes some skill and knowledge of dungeons to be able to play it to max potential due to low hp and medium armor.
Wrong build above
30\25\0\015 is what you wantnah, i’m personally using 30/0/20/0/20, pure zerk boring
30/25/0/0/15 is definitely the highest dps trait setup and is the one you should use in arah. Im not even sure what the hell 30/0/20/0/20 is good for.
New patch coming soon! Join up for a guild that does all dungeons!
We are very active, we have 15-25 active players repping probably more, an we run daily
I just read some patch details on dulfy but I didn’t see anything about class balancings. Where are you guys seeing that warrior is getting a nerf?
Recruitment is still open!
NMC is growing quickly come join in on the fun!
NMC is a North American multiple-server group dedicated towards dungeons and fractals currently recruiting like minded players for the content. Because of our cross server status we boast round the clock activity! Currently we’re setting up weekly bounties and dungeon events for players to earn their dungeon master title. (Faster you join the faster you earn it. =D) Also we use the program mumble to talk to each other. Unfortunately we’re not babysitters. As in life you will get the most rewards by pursuing your own goals with your own drive, so if members are currently busy with their own agendas do not get discouraged or upset. That said however we would run with guild members over pugs any day!

Pro Guild! 8 very experienced members and growing! Come do dungeons with us!
I’d like to see Malrona. She’s fairly simple to get down in one time warp, but I’d like to see a sub 8 second kill or something, hah.
I think I saw a video of her instakilling herself with one volley of her poison projectiles thanks to a properly built Mesmer’s Feedback. Sub 4 seconds is probably totally doable depending on how soon you can get her to pop her projectiles.
Good luck even getting him into phase 2 in 4 seconds… I Think solo is doing it the best way possible. Although they did say there room for improvement I don’t think we will ever see lupi down in under 15 seconds. Who knows though.
I do believe they’re talking about Malrona
Oh…wow…my bad

I think they should just fix it to where if the leader leaves it doesn’t reset the dungeon
the rest of your team wasn’t already capping vuln stacks
I’ve never understood that viewpoint.
I hear that with all sorts of other boons and conditions. I mean, there’s like nine to twelve of them. Isn’t functional overlap kind of a foregone conclusion?Just because the functional redundancy is rooted in core weapon concepts and not utilities like banners doesn’t mean you can’t still adapt to make sure your group is getting the best bang for their buck. Heck, I’m constantly switching around my offhand just to approach different fights better. So I kind of don’t get how two people with overlapping weapon concepts creates a point of contention?
Because it takes no effort for a regular group to cap vuln stacks already so there’s no point in bringing some1 who brings less dps but the ability to stack a crazy amount of vuln. It still takes time to apply so for super speed clears you’re still going to want to OMM.
Yeah I agree, unless you can get something that brings something new to the party, you might as well just stick with warrior for the best dps.
The story dungeons can be done by new players on level. They will be hard but they are achievable. The explorable dungeons are at a higher level of difficulty. The good news is that as you get more experienced you will be able to get far, far more from your character than you can now. The bad news is that this means you should wait until level 80 before trying the explorable dungeons so that you have some gear/skill benefits to counter your lack of experience.
This is true to a certain extent, on my first character I waited and tried TA exp on my 80 full exo warrior and got brutally kitten d because of lack of experience, but when I was level 55 on my 2nd character I did TA exp F/f and Up easily simply because I knew what to do. So I don’t think gear makes that much of a difference other than the damage your putting out because if your in full zerk gear, your glass anyways. Also I would say go for guardian first because it does have more survivability than warrior.
Why did you guys not use the 30/0/0/10/30 build?
32 warrior
38 thief
she is not able to clear AC exploreWorking as intended. The in-game Email you recieve after completing Story mode should be considered a Bug that Anet never “fixed”.
Realistically… most players shouldn’t even be recieving that Email telling them to try any of the AC explorables until after they’ve atleast done most of the End-Game explorables like atleast 2 paths of CM explorables, all 3 COF paths, 2 of the Sorrow’s Paths, atleast 1 Eternity Path, and atleast one 1 T.A. path. This isn’t exaggerating either, AC explorables were so over-tuned in a recent patch that what you might think are “higher level” dungeons, are now much easier for PuGs to complete by comparison.
(AC is still easier for some groups, but those teams always operated very differently to begin with) …. and don’t listen to the ones telling you that level 35’s can do it. ….they ARE exaggerating, IoW: telling you their standard of what a level 35 is capable of, but it’s nothing but Internet-Toughguy Talk and you’d still see them getting downed very frequently if they recorded “proof” it was possible. There is only a handful of teams with full TS support who can do that and they’re using 5-man Profession combos that you won’t have consistent access to.
You must be a really bad player…AC exp p1 and p3 are cake, you can farm p3 almost like cof p1… Even with a few level 35s in the party. P2 is a bit more difficult for newer people to the dungeon but it’s still easy.
Whoever said wait till 80 full exotic, your a kitten … And to the guy saying to go full ptv, that’s fine for lower levels to get used to dodging and stuff, but be aware at level 80 you want full berserker gear especially as a warrior or thief, ptv nubs usually get kicked…
I’m curious as to whether they will make the fractal the exact same as the dungeon or if it will be different, because I ran Aetherblade with a ton of bad groups and it took forever or the group failed, so I hope they shorten it up a bit but keep the same difficult feel of it.
Well this game is alot different than WoW, you can’t stand there and take hits. You have to learn alot of the bosses and attacks in this game and learn when to dodge roll. Also explorable mode dungeons are usually farmed by full exotic geared level 80s even though they are level 35 dungeons, though it is doable at level 35 ive done AC exp on my Mesmer when it was level 35, just takes practice and getting used to the style of GW2 boss fights.
DPS beats bosses and they’re all but immune to CC. The only time you want heavy CC support is against trash but then 95% of the time ANet throws too many enemies at you for you to make a considerable dent because of AoE caps.
That’s so cute, you actually don’t know how defiant works.
Also, Mai may be back depending on how the election goes. And that is OK, because your OP classes are still OP in that dungeon as well.
Wait what? Mai might be back???
Use GS and Axe/Mace 30/0/0/10/30. Best dps build with full zerker gear with ruby orbs/scholar runes.
I leveled my Mesmer from 6-80 in about a week doing CoF farming with my Warrior and swapping toons when boss is almost dead. Hardest part is getting a low level to fireheart rise, but that can be easily done by getting someone to escort you. Only bad thing is low map completion, I think I had like 6% at 80 lol but you do make alot of money.

also should add that all fractals are day even the ones that look like they are night.
Dunno about that one, I know my AC weapons glow in the fire shaman fractal and jade maw fractal and I believe there is another one (swamp maybe?) so I don’t think they are all day.
Thanks for the link I learned some new things but still didnt really figure out I evisc was good to use or not
Ok, so I’m mainly a PVE warrior. I use the 30/0/0/10/30 trait setup with GS and Axe/Mace swap and I was wondering if when I swap to axe if I should ever use eviscerate. It hits pretty hard and I can always fill adrenaline back to full with healing surge. So if I’m low health needing to heal should I go ahead and use eviscerate or no? Or should I be using eviscerate anyways even when I can’t refill adrenaline instantly?
Highest dps I’ve been able to do after testing multiple setups is 30/0/0/10/30, sit of might, banner of discipline, fgj, sig of rage. GS/Axe Mace swapping..over 40k on HB
In CoF I’ve been doing some testing with 30/0/0/10/30 and GS-Axe/Mace is alot better than 30/25. I was only getting like 35k at 30/25 build and I’m hitting over 40k with 30/0 build
That’s to party though as for your own personal dps gs is still better
GS and axe mace is still the best (better now than before) if you trait 30/25/0/0/15
But I did hear that some who don’t like GS are going axe mace with 30/10/0/0/30. I have yet to try it but I like GS so I’m probably gonna stick with 30/25/0/0/15
This is the best dungeon in the game it doesn’t need nerfed..I will say it’s not for casual players. It’s one of those go hard or gtfo dungeons. I’ve completed it a few times already and I wish they wouldn’t take it out.
Just far CoF and get an axe and mace, go 30/25/0/0/15 with gs and axe mace swap you’ll be better than before
I don’t really see where they nerfed us…I know in PVE our dps is even higher now if you trait 30/25/0/0/15 and do GS and axe/mace, though I don’t do alot of sPvP or WvW some people said it made us better in those areas as well.
The update actually buffed warriors in PVE. I’m using 30/25/0/0/15 GS and Axe/Mace swap
