Are the weapon icons on the Trading Post bugged?

When I look for exotic staves, I can find pieces with cool names like Delusion of Corruption or Deathwish of Blood. However, they appear to have the same old plain skin as the regular 80 staff (you know, the stick with the white crystal on the end).

I find it hard to believe that these exotic weapons with cool names look identical to blue and green staves from lower levels.

Now, if I could preview items on the TP then I wouldn’t have to ask this question in the first place. So, that’s really the issue here

Has anyone bought an exotic weapon from the TP with an common skin who can tell me the answer?

I have the same issue but assumed that it was because my back component was too low level. Perhaps this is indeed a bug then.

On a different but related note, where on earth are people buying back component items? I still have mine from level 10, can’t see any on the TP and have been unable to find a karma vendor that sells one!

I bought the deluxe version of GW2 just so I could help get our guild off to a good start, but the Tome did not work for me either. Can you please send me another? Otherwise am unsure why I gave you my money.

Have the same issue with both staff and scepter. Many people have mentioned that they have had the same, all with the Whisperer skins. Have Anet just removed this skin from the game or is it a bug with this specific skin?

I just logged in after the update and my weapon skins have disappeared. Specifically, I was using Whisperer skins. The weapons with these skins have reverted to their original appearance.

In addition, I had one Whisperer item in my inventory which has now turned into a standard Mighty weapon.

My post asks “When do you think you will have time to address profession balance? Do you have an ETA?”

There are too many specific issues regarding overall balance to put into one post and I’m not interested in hearing about individual balance changes right now. Furthermore, I don’t want this to turn into a debate about strengths, weaknesses and bugs associated with specific professions. Rather, I’m interested to understand if profession balance is on their radar and if so when they plan on addressing it.

The reason I ask is because there are obviously some other issues which need addressing first – security and partying being two that spring to mind – and it would be good to know when they will turn their attention to other things like balance.

I realise this might not be the correct channel but I’m unsure where else to direct my question.

When do you think you will have time to address profession balance? Do you have an ETA?

I primarily like to casually pvp however at the moment the hot join maps are filled with nothing but 2 or 3 professions which stand head and shoulders above the rest of us.

Hot join is supposed to be instant fun but to be honest, this has put me off pvp altogether. At the moment it seems that if I want to get maximum glory I’m going to have to roll one of the professions which are dominating, but I want to play my own profession and have fun winning knowing I am on an equal footing. I even want to spend lots of money on glory boosters but see little point in doing so right now.

Please do let us know what your plans are!

PS – I didn’t mention specific professions on purpose. My question relates to “what is the ETA for balance” not “nerf this specific profession” or “buff this specific profession”

Bumped. Condition necro here. Boss fights I’m forced to autoattack on staff (with abysmal dps) if I want to get any reward at all.

See above post. I’m confused as to why Anet think people are going to want to spend tokens on generic looking gear? This must be a bug.

I have the same issue here. The trait point allocation remains the same, however all the major traits are deselected.

Sometimes I will go a few matches, wonder why I’m performing sub par, and then realise later that I have been playing for the last hour with absolutely no major traits.

Also: Tooltips do not show increases in bleed/chill/weakness/blind duration when traited for.

Corrupt Boon often misses or simply has no effect. Am quite sure that it is sometimes blocked by Aegis; if so, then this is an unusual design. Corrupt Boon is blocked by a boon? Makes no sense.
