The thing I saw this season that was good to see is servers with less WvW population had excellent players when you fought them with even numbers in the open field. One group of GoM comes to mind that were in the SF bl they were an incredibly organized group it was fun.
I don’t watch much t.v and to compare you get just about as much story in each episode of a t.v series as you do in a patch
I disagree, because in every TV episode you have conflict and resolution. The Living Story sometimes introduces conflict in one patch and resolves it in the next one. Also, purely looking at the amount of dialogue there is not nearly as much dialogue in one patch as there is in a 30 minute TV series. Sometimes there is not even as much in two patches as there is in a 30 minute TV episode.
I’m not saying you’re wrong. I just felt like sharing my own opinion.
No offense taken. I just don’t watch much t.v
So for the HOD people who keep talking from what I have seen every match has been a easy win for you so when/if there is a season 2 you guys should be in silver. If that happens how do you think your going to do?
I would agree if a commander tag was earned in WvW and not just given to anyone with 100g.
The living story should work to slowly open up a new zone over the course of 6 months. some of the problem is most living story is zerg/farm or go home I don’t play dungeons but others do so new zones could bring it all with a story that leads up to them. I was hoping scarlet would work its way into the Maguma wastes but I don’t think that will happen.
Its hard to think of a solution everyone would like or that would even work without adding to or removing whats already there. Maybe just super rare drops that that are tied to specific zones could work. One problem is people will always try to exploit or farm anything for profit.
I would love some of those fixes I used to play a necro but they feel weak compared to other classes except in spvp. I also think the living story needs to be less frequent and have more impact. As far as the dragons I always found them boring but I love to explore.
The issue seems to be the frequency of each patch only allows so much and each patch team works alone. I don’t watch much t.v and to compare you get just about as much story in each episode of a t.v series as you do in a patch
@Mugo FYI I have not smack talked anyone. The coverage gap is real but is not the reason SF is in the situation. Our servers problem is alot of people don’t care and alot of in-fighting. I was just stating what I’m gonna do because I play for fun and getting hit by a zerg when I leave spawn is not fun I even play less on easy SF weeks because both feel like I’m not really even playing the game.
From what I read here people really just want new permanent places to explore and only ask for dragons because new dragon means new areas. I feel the dragons are just as boring character wise as Scarlet but new areas corrupted by another dragon get me excited.
Because of work I play during different hours and right now it has become no fun during early morning (est) right now we have no commanders and are outnumbered on all maps except SF bl. We had more people against HoD the first week but I think it took its toll. I spoke to one of the oceanic commanders yesterday and he and a few others are leaving after the season so there goes what little coverage we had. The rest of this week when the morning is the only time I have to play will be spent doing my daily then logging out because its not fun to get run over by a zerg that gets whipped into a frenzy if anything happens.
I play for fun so I hope everyone who is sticking around has fun also. The only I get annoyed is when I’m with a small group with my elementalist and the others are warriors and/or guardians and we meet another group and I lay down fields and start attacking only to see the others running in the opposite direction.
Minipets usually make people do crazy stuff to get them.
Maybe add one account bound minipet per region that drops only there.
And release a new set each year.
They could also make minipets what you use in the activities to make them more desirable.
But dont you think, that if you introduce (improved) rewards for events, that players will almost instantly find the one dynamic event with the best effort-reward-relation and farm it endlessly.
It seems, this happens every time ANet introduced some new kinds of rewards or interesting stuff.Improved Dungeon rewards —> Dungeon / CoF farm
Dragon chests --> Dragon farm
Achievment point rewards —> AP farm
Champ loot bags --> Champ farmetc.
Content shouldn’t just be played because of the rewards, instead of the fact that it makes fun.
I agree with what you are saying but none of that has really helped. Maybe the problem is so many dynamic events are the same (defend this/kill that etc).
I play on SF and many who came from pve only came for achievements and when they were done they never came back. Also SF biggest enemy is itself after the first week against HOD the number of WvW players dropped. SF gets more players when its easy match-ups but when it gets hard people leave its the same in pve.
Many people have to much karma already for that to work. If they gave more options for spending it then it might work. My suggestion is really only a band-aid and at the same time would give more options for some of the rewards in the game so nothing is locked away behind certain types of content.
Hello forums I never post but here I go.
Do you think it would be a good idea if they made a system where dynamic events gave some sort of token?? My suggestion would be each dynamic event could be done and you would get a token fragment combine 4 for a token (1 per event per day) that could be used for gifts or new armor skins or dungeon armor (a version that could not be dyed). I think this would be great because I don’t do dungeons but love the open world but right now there is little reason for me to be in it, it also does not help it feels so empty in most places.
Let me know what you all think and leave some suggestions of your own.
