You won’t be left to support if you don’t want so. But even being more damage oriented, using your supportive skills, like the water magic with staff or d/d, is very helpful. I’ve pretty much always used quite balanced build with 30 points in supportive/offensive traits and 40 in the other. It works well if you do damage the most of the time and then support your teammates when necessary.
For high-end PvE, staff is a solid choice for group activities where as d/d works better when going solo.
Not sure about the importance of support in PvP, but I have used more damage oriented d/d elementalist there.

So, I read the new update and saw that they cost the normal amount. Fine. I go buy the mats so I could make those earrings for my guardian. But why can’t Anet mention in the update note, that YOU STILL CANNOT CRAFT THOSE KITTEN EARRINGS?
Hope they fix this soon or I’m going mad…

I can hardly describe my disappointment. I really thought that an elder dragon could give us a bigger fight than the regular mobs. I was absolutely thrilled from the cannon cutscene and prepared for a big fight. But no. Just shooting the braindead dragon with fireworks. And what’s wrong with his mates, they are just flying around and ignoring us too.

I am really looking forward to an update, where you introduce us the real Zhaitan, who’ll give us the most epic, ultimate, uberleet fight.
