Really needs to be looked at…. and fixed ASAP!

Just started happening after the last patch.

Ride the Lightning now has a secret ability that was not mentioned with the patch notes. A 10% chance to provide a permanent immobilize to yourself at the target’s location.

The only way to break out of it is to use another Ride the Lightning or a teleport ability.

Thoughts? OP? Nerf? Exploit? Bannable issue?

Yep, same issue here. Apparently they stuck in a permanent immobilize punishment for using ride the lightning this patch.

After consuming hundreds if not thousands of pieces of candy corn, my character has finally succumbed to candy corn poisoning. The coroner’s official report states that perhaps if a more varied diet of sweets was consumed, such a fate would not have befallen the cadaver.

It’s so sad. Elementalists are just one word away from summoning Captain Planet.

Have you tried mashing all the attunements at once!?! :P

My problem is that A.Net specifically stated that the ability to span gaps like that is an exploit. A Mesmer using blink to do it…exploit, ..ele to do it with Ride the lightning, exploit, an engineer to do it (dunno what kill it was, but saw one do it in Forests of Nifehl…Thieves doing it with sb 5*….these are not supposed to ‘clear gaps’ but they can be used as blink abilities, or faster travel, but not to be used to span distances you can’t make on your own with a jump.

This would indeed be exploiting (or voluntarily bypassing set game mechanics).

Ride the lightning isn’t a blink. Lightning flash is.

They need to fix windborne dagger. It is one of the strongest traits that the elementalist has, yet it is not functioning atm.

Fix this please, I have been killed countless times in WVW because instead of working, Ride the lightning stunned me for 3 seconds.

Why has this skill been broken since launch?

Why are elementalists being denied one of the few traits that actually redeems playing an elementalist?

Please fix it ASAP. This ability doesn’t work when you have a dagger in your main hand, off hand, or both.

Any updates or any workarounds yet for realtek?

Had this happen at least 5 times in WVW, it’s nearly rendering the game unplayable for me now.

Please fix this bug. It is rendering this game almost 99% unplayable for me.
