I have a nearly full class range of alts at lvl 80, and so find this quite annoying. I guess, like most people who have posted here, I’ll just pick one and stick with it. Pretty lame. I personally think it should be the PLAYER gaining renown, not a particular toon.

Keg Brawl adjustment

First, I must admit to loving keg brawl. There’s a pretty cool community of dedicated players and it’s just plain fun. I hope to see each race eventually have a game like Norn’s game of keg brawl. This aside, I have two suggestion to make the game a little better that should be easy fixes.

First, remove the talking option for the flag keepers, or whatever they are called. When a keg lands clost to them and you try to pick it up, it is easy in the heat of the moment to select to speak to them instead of pick up the keg. It is a needless and annoying feature. The same goes for the onlookers just behind him.

Second, I find when I don’t have the keg and select a move, disarm for example, then suddenly find myself with a keg for a totally different reason (ie. someone else threw one my way and my character caught it), the move is cancelled out and I’m unable to select a new keg move for a short period of time. It’s like I’m stunned and the game can’t process what to do. Maybe this is an intentional feature, but it’s also annoying.

Overall, great mini-game!

All I can say is, please Anet, listen to the people that actually play your game. This has to be fixed asap. Don’t fall into the same trap as certain other mmo’s and release a bunch of new stuff without atteneding to fixes players are crying out for. This particular issue sucks, and can easily ruin any carefully planned strategy.

Please Reconsider Legendary Weapons

As mentioned above, it’s not the difficulty of getting a legendary that’s the real issue, they SHOULD be hard to get. Rather, it’s the mind-numbing tedium of the process that’s currently involved. Getting a legendary should be a satisfying journey in itself, not the grinding/gambling absurdity it currently is. I want a legendary to mean something special, not just look cool. Map completion, story completion, and an epic quest should all be part of it. If gw2 is truly committed to representing a new generation of mmorpg, they should re-think their current approach to legendaries.

Lost Anet points after Flame and Frost update

I like a lot of things about the recent update, with the exception of the deduction to my total points. I seem to have lost all the achievement points for doing the Master Carver portion of the Halloween event, although I’ve retained the title. Apparently I’m not the only one this has happened to and, although it may seem minor, it is a bit of a drag. I get a sense of completion by filling up those little achievement bars and adding to my total points, and I’d like to see them returned.

Hopefully this minor issue is an easy fix!

I could not agree more with this entire post. It is thoughtful and well-written. As they stand now, the processes involved in aquiring legendaries seem absurdly disconnected from what is otherwise a spectacular game. In terms of lore and immersion, what is legendary about mining ore and cutting down trees until you are ready to jump off a cliff? I love the suggested points about alternate requirements for legendaries.

I truly hope the devs take a good long look at this thread.

Will existing achievements get converted?

First let me say that I am very excited about all that is coming our way in 2013. I am particularly happy about the upgrades to the achievement system and the potential rewards. My question is this: will these rewards be retroactive? I have already completed a significant amount of the available achievements (I have over 4000 points) and I would hope to receive the same rewards as some who does them after the new system is implemented. Does this sounds reasonable?

CoF path 3 madness

Could someone please explain to me the rational behind CoF path 3? I thought this game was supposed to be fun, rewarding, and with a healthy dose of challenge. I don’t mind being challenged, it makes things a lot more fun….when it’s reasonable! CoF path 3 needs to be nerfed asap. It’s waaaay harder than any other dungeon path I’ve done, which is all of them except Arah explorer. I’ve tried it 5 times now and wiped everytime. The last time we finally made it past the torches, only to give up at the waves. I shouldn’t spend hours and hours on a dunheon with geared out characters, only to fail….and not because of poor strategy, but because it difficulty level is out of control. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it seems most people seem to know this, as you only ever see lfg postings for path 1 and 2. Please address this!

Total Points and achievements

Everflame.1305

I’d like to make a suggestion or two regarding character points. I find achievement hunting to be a fun part of the game. Everytime I get something done, the bar fills up and the points get added to my total. All this is fine. However, I’ve started wondering what use all these points are. I’m not really into bragging rights, so I’d like to see something actually done with them. Maybe titles as you hit certain milestones, or even access to rare weapons and armor as you progress. I think this is a part of the game that feels incomplete, and imho there are some exciting options for encouraging people to get those little goals in the game done.

a few suggestions

First off, I think the game is great, and will continue to evolve, but I have a few minor suggestions.

- please make dyes account wide. If I want one or more of the more expensive dyes on multiple characters, it is a pain to buy it multiple times.

- make our total points earned mean something other than bragging rights. Titles would be nice. In fact, I would like to see more titles in general.

- I would definitely like to see more playable races. I’m not a huge fan of the idea of new professions, but I’d like to be able to play as other creatures. Maybe you could make it so that you have to find them or their homeland in order to play them. I’d love to play as a Kodan, for example.

- I’ve seen it poosted before, but I also like the idea of lowering waypoint costs, especially if a zone is fully explored.

- as a final note, I’d like to cast my vote for NO mounts. GW2 has done a great job of not copy and pasting wow, and I think this would be a step in that direction. I know there are a bunch of games out there with mounts, but I guess I’m just not a fan.
