Am having to trade my desktop for a laptop – work reasons.

Have found the below at a great price, and would love to get opinions on whether it will run okay, ideally from people running a similar setup. I have seen the minimum requirements, etc.

True, I would like to see fewer buyable rewards. I’d like to see more equivalent of the star for map completion — nifty symbols beside your name for different accomplishments.

Yeah, I do agree with you.

Gating rewards behind difficulty would be better. Im just glad to see something gated to be honest. The percentage of ‘reward’ type content that is actually gated (largely due to TP and gem to gold trade) is tiny.

Im not saying this is ideal. But its a hell of a lot better than some new player on level 7 buying gems and running around with something I worked for.

*no offense to new players with shiny stuff.

My point is simply that its nice to have some stuff that is not readily available to everyone, all the time.

You will also notice that I did say “Minus the lucky few that got a fossil very quickly”. That’d be you.

Guys, to be honest, I prefer that we need to earn them this way.

I got my fossil and crafted my GS toady. If the large amount of work to get the fossil and geodes wasn’t a prerequisite to the weapon, I wouldn’t even want it. The fact that I had to work for it, and that anyone else I see carrying it did the same is the only reason I wanted it in the first place.

People moan about the fact that legendary weapons are too easy to get as they can just be bought and don’t need to be earned. Most people don’t really consider them very legendary at all anymore. When I see someone walking around with a Teq weapon, i go “That’s awesome”. When I see someone walking around with Twilight i go “Meh”.

I love the fact that everyone that has crafted one of these weapons has worked for it. (Minus perhaps the lucky few that got a fossil very quickly).

Was playing the the Pavilion, with 208 odd gold in my wallet. A few mins later I went to a vendor and noticed I only had 158 odd.

Please help. Have sent a bug report. No idea what to do. Not happy at all.

Edit. I did not spend a copper. I ran to a boss, killed him and ran back to the middle. Thats it.

The above comment is not entirely correct. Sparkfly Fen is not on the megaserver system yet. So it will still be servers doing Teq runs.

Jade Quarry to Teq most days. Guest, head to Gendarren, and ask around. Someone will have info for you.

Ok. Update from me.

Popped in my Cell C stick. Re-defined all the parameters of the connection, manually changing the DNS settings in the software. Works 100%.

Side note: So many Saffers! yay!

Yeah. Im also in the Eastern Cape. Sadly tho, DNS settings have done nothing to solve my problem.

I heard that there was another thread on here about this, but I cant find it, so have posted my own.

Was with a group doing the Aetherblade Path in Twilight Arbor yesterday. Things were going fine, albeit slowly, as only one of us had done the path before.

[SPOILERS]

About 3 hours in we got to the final room, the one where you have to destroy the 8 generators by pulling the pirates towards them and killing them. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts, we all ran back to the room only to have nothing happen. No Aetherblades spawned. We tried all dying, Wping, etc. but, nothing.

Such a great dungeon to run, was really enjoying it. We were all really bleak at having to leave it there.

I really wanna finish this one, but am not sure how common this bug is, and I’m a little nervous to do the 3 hour grind again only to be forced to stop by a bug.

Can anyone shed any light on how common this is? Thanks is advance.

I have encountered a big problem.

Everyone looks the same (like they are wearing light pink pajamas) and has their weapon drawn. It started randomly. Played with the update for 4 or 5 hours with it working fine. Waypointed from one spot to another in DR and BAM! Everyone in pink with their weapon drawn.

I asked in the map chat and someone said to adjust the WvW options in the graphics settings. Put them on high (anything less did not remove the rubbish) and immediately lost 10+ fps. That is ridiculous.
I am now forced to run at 10+ fps less than I could at any other point since i bought the game, just so that I can see my fellow players’ armor.

In addition, everyone still has their weapons drawn, and no amount of tweaking seems to do anything to change that.

I am really suffering in populated areas with the FPS cut.
