It seems that some people are getting really desperate in finding at least something to whine about in raids these days.
First we need the Legendary Goddess stance – Kormir, with such abilities and traits as “TO VABBI!” and “I am now a god. Your God”/“I deserve this”
“Dat’s the best idea ah evah heard!”
While it is something I would think of making a suggestion about, due to no possibility to access GW1 I haven’t been able to go to Hell and kill Satan, so my knowledge about our “belowed” Marshal’s “spirit ancestor” is limited to only what I know from the animation.

So, there doesn’t seem to be any information on rev’s next elite spec, so here’s my “ingenious” suggestion.
SPOILER ALERT: This thread deals with an """"important"""" character in the story. If you haven’t finished the core/HoT story yet, run away do not read this thread.
Elite Spec: Marshal
Legend: Trahearne
Weapon: Greatsword
Collection weapon’s name: “Caladbolg Replica”
Skills: Shouts
New class mechanic: When channeling Marshal Trahearne’s legend, you gain a new f3 ability: “Commander, to me!” shout.
“Commander, to me!”: Capture a random nearby player as your Commander. While under your control, Commander can’t escape, log off or close the game until you lose control over them. Their Experience, Loot, Achievement Points etc. are transferred to you instead. Your energy bar is replaced by “Commander’s Patience” bar. If Commander’s Patience drops to zero, they break out of your control, gain “Friendly Fire” ability and 200% Damage boost against you, so that play-style requires careful energy management. While channeling, you gain a passive “Unlikable and Useless” debuff, reducing your outgoing damage by 75% and increasing your incoming damage by 50%, making you mostly rely on your Commander.
Skill proposals:
“I don’t understand, I’m no general”: Express your doubts to Pale Tree about commanding a military organization, gaining health and protection during the channel. Your Commander taunts the first foe that hits you when you are channeling this skill.
“This won’t end well…”: Signal the beginning of a fight, letting your Commander realize they’ll likely have to take care of everything themselves and help you up afterwards, depleting their Patience level. You take 50% more incoming damage, your Commander takes 50% reduced damage and gains a 20% increased damage boost and revive speed.
“Exposition Time!”: Tell a random thing about yourself, so your Commander gets to know you and doesn’t think of you as Shoehorned as you really are. Gain Commander’s Patience. Commanders with high IQ score restore less Patience. Sylvari Characters restore twice the amount of Patience.
Examples of “Exposition Time” shouts:
-“I have studied Orrian creatures for 25 years, but I rarely engage in combat with them. It’s terrifying.”;
-“All my life, I have been drawn to Orr. My Wyld Hunt is to heal the land”;
“Use it… on me. Kill me, Commander”: Channel the memories of Marshal’s demise, soothing Commander’s mind. Gain Commander’s Patience. Commanders with low IQ score restore less Patience. Sylvari Characters restore half the amount of Patience. (This shout is created as the counterpart to the “Exposition time!” shout, and is suited for play-style with more self-aware “alternative” type of commanders)
(Suggested as an Elite Skill) “Commander, may I have a word?”: Initiate a dialog cutscene, making you and your Commander invulnerable, while regenerating their health and giving them alacrity for the duration of the cutscene. During the dialog, you say a bunch of stupid and annoying things, rapidly depleting Commander’s Patience.
(Suggested as an Elite Skill) “This won’t end well… for YOU!”: Channel Caladbolg’s memory, teleporting you and Commander into it’s vision. Challenge Commander to a fight, “wondering about the outcome of a sparring match”. After a short and unimpressive duel, Commander wins (obviously), gaining an enormous morale boost, maxing out their Patience bar and HP.
A few suggested trait variants:
“MARrySHAL SuYLVARI” (seewhatididthere?): Channeling a legend of a famous sylvari gives you a 15% boost to all stats, because sylvari are great and smart and also great.
“Oblivious to the Plot”: Your Commander just doesn’t care anymore. Patience usage is reduced by 33%.
“Iron Will”: Your Commander is determined to get this over with. Patience regeneration is increased by 15%.
“Soothing Memories” When Commander’s Patience bar gets below 10%, they create a rift into Fractals of the Mists, escaping to the mists and becoming invulnerable and unable to fight for a brief time (5 seconds, perhaps?), finding a fractal showing the history of their Dungeon runs with friends. Upon returning to you, they get 50% of Commander’s Patience restored.
Author’s notes:
This may not be as witty as I first thought it would be, and it may as well be something I’ll be ashamed of 2 hours after, but oh well, I’ve spend enough time thinking on the concept that I thought it’s worth to throw in here.
Also, I’m aware that technically this should be on rev’s subforum, but I thought it may be worth dropping it in a more “Exposed” area. Mods can always move it after all.

That’s progress for you right there. So far your rev seems to be the luckiest one with their ticket. I was basically politely told to go f*meow* myself. And I was neither told that tagging the boss is necessary (even though I asked if that’s the case), nor that anet is going to look into this issue (though I actually asked about that too). So your kiter’s got at least something, at that point.
Good. Hopefully now they will focus on PvP balance for the average player, instead of ESL level players.
What’s wrong with people in this community deliberately demanding developers to listen to players who genuenly have worse mehanical understanding of the game? What kind of logic do you creatures operate on?
And how narrow-minded can you be?
If that was directed to me, i can only ask in return how unexplained and unargumented, and therefore invalid can your opinion get?
If that was just an addition to my statement, then seems reasonable, I guess.

If you go in downstate you lose the credit.
Perhaps I should’ve mentioned that I did not go down during the encounter either.
You’re in for some disappointment friend.
I too have this issue, and I am as well, a hands kiter. I play my rev.Last week when I did not get it, I submitted a ticket, and after not reading that I had 1) had the heart activated before the fight, buff active the whole time, and 2) that I had survived, basically told me ‘too bad so sad do it again’.
So this week I do it again. This time I tag Deimos at both the start when he hits the platform, and at 1% right before he died. Should be enough right? NOPE. No credit. Once again, Buff active the whole fight, and did not go down or die.
So I submit another ticket. This one will be understood right? Nope same guy. Check this out:
Yeah, Same here. I actually sent a ticket too an hour or so after my forum post, and got the ‘too bad so sad do it again’ in response as well (though my bug only happened once and I actually got my heart when I repeated the encounter). I’m pretty sure it was even the same support person.
So I just did deimos with my auramancer kiter ele, was alive when we got the kill and my heart was 100% activated, but I didn’t recieve demon heart for my legendary armor collection. I’d like to know if it’s a bug so I can submit a ticket, or is there certain bonus requirements for said heart, that weren’t mentioned on the tooltip, like dealing a certain amount of damage to the boss (I wasn’t attacking Deimos since I was busy kiting), in which case the only thing I can do, I guess, is get sad over bad game design and wait for another group.
Getting jade heart encourages selfish play that may (and does) hurt overall squad perfomance, from stacking shared agony inappropriately and leaving downed allies to wipe, to pretty much screwing yourself up on purpose in case of failure to provoke squad wipe. Be it solo achievenent, there would be no problems with it, but it’s not, and it’s just plain bad design.
This topic will likely be ignored for the reason of there being better stuff to do but I feel like I can’t get all depressed over it until I at least try.
Ahem
So, the dungeon set of royal ascalonian weapons is, in my opinion, a pretty good looking set. But it always bothered me how their nightime and daytime versions are rather differently themed in terms of their color scheme. For example, I found the greatsword skin to be very good and generally kitten, with nothing that could make for a proper replacement for that particular shape and color. But while the daytime version perfectly matches my warrior’s appearance, the nighttime one doesn’t match at all. So I suggest anet to make, perhaps, 2 more versions of these skins, as if “purified” (plain weapons) and “haunted” (ghostly versions), for instance, maybe make some cheap mystic forge recipe for those versions. That way, some people will be happy with their plain weapon version, like myself, and others, who might be into the night version, won’t have to bother with the daytime one.
TL;DR: make separate versions of daytime and nightime ascalonian weapons, so people may carry one or the other no matter the time of the day.
