Took place on Far Shiverpeak Borderlands featuring many guilds!

While the matchup is coming to an end, I wanted to give a shoutout to both Far Shiverpeaks and Gunnars Hold. It sure has been a crazy week. Guilds such as DFC, VoTF, SOUL, PunK, SLAY, Inc, IRON, XxX, MM, AoA and most likely many more keep surprising me. Great resistance and epic battles. Special thanks to VoTF for the scrims. We learned a lot and it’s time to go back to the lab to focus on some important pointers. Love you Mith, it was an honour!

There is a second video on the way, showing more battles of this week, hope you guys will enjoy it. Its going to be a raw cut again, so no billy bullkitten and self-worshipping.

Was great seeing IRON again too, although too bad my bff’s Offski and Wrex quitted. Would have loved to duel you two! Anyways, untill next time!

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Recently, I got down into video editting myself. While Im still experimenting what is possible with the software and such, I wanted to share our latest Guild Raid Video in WVW which covers footage from last Sunday (08/12/2013). We ran a squad of 22 members fighting the odds, often outnumbered but sure as hell never outgunned.

Thanks for the glorious fights last night. Video will be up and running tonight! It felt like Arcade Zombie Mode Tag Team, guilds standing in line or coming with waves all the time. I can’t recall having so many battles in such a short time frame as last night, crazy!

Been a crazy celebration evening on Deso. Here is a shot recorded by Thousand Lakes Alliance [TLA] Guild. Full video of the League and Deso’s Celebration will be up somewhere during the weekend for those interested!

EXG is back to the lab the upcoming 2 weeks. We’ll be back though!

Props to Gandara and Abaddon’s last night. I was the only Commander from 23.00 GMT onwards pulling the masses trying to keep the points running. Simply amazing how you outplayed me and therefore hats of to you guys! Had so much fun!

Thankss Silver League for the amazing GvGs we had. EXG learned a lot and will definitely be back! Much respect to every GvG Guild out there, keep rocking, keep GvGing and keep the scene alive!

Overally, I’m glad we ended up in Silver as I believe the fights and capping are in a more structured and organised matter than Gold (no hatin). My favorite servers are Aurora Glade and Far Shiver Peaks. GG to you guys!

Great fights last night on Abaddon’s Border. We had a lot of fun running in a small (perhaps too small in comparrison to the zone blobs) squad. Outnumbered but definitely not outgunned. The Bay scenario was definitely the highlight of the evening

Thanks again Holy and DFC, you guys rock! I couldn’t agree more on the intense part. By far the craziest GvG we’ve had. The tense builded up once it got 3 – 3 and later on 3 – 4. Once it got to 4 – 4, the tense in both teams and in the entire arena was crazy. Not sure if you guys noticed, but there were A LOT of spectators haha. Thanks again for the crazy match, hope we meet again in the future.

It was amazing last night [PunK] ! You guys are by far my favorite guild and having the honour to play with you guys again last night was amazing! I definitely had a goosebump moment when we started the GvG in the new Arena and looked around to the crazy amount of spectators. Football match? You are kinda jumping into your own mouth here mate. You didn’t tank but you lost just enough rating to get into silver.

Also, it wasn’t a PvE crowd that introduced 5am 10 omega golem rushes to the silver league.

We faced you twice during your tanking phase and the difference was staggering – much less skilled opposition during prime-time then in pre-league matches and heavy nightcapping. Congratulations on becoming what you hated – Vizunah Square.

Perhaps re-read the post again. Tanking and dropping are 2 complete different things. Therefore your statement becomes invalid.

Anyways, not going to bother any longer. Got a problem with Deso? Fight for it and bring it to the game, not on the forum. Deso fought against Vizunah for months which looked like a lost battle, atleast we never lost our fighting spirit, even after being close to free fall thrice. Not many servers can say the same.

A very important Guild called [DVG] who was in charge of training friendlies and rallying them on the field decided to leave for Piken. We lost most of our good skilled friendlies due that. Though, other Guilds started leaving left to right who played an important role in Desolation too such as [Coin] and [AFTL]. All these Guilds grew tired of the unstable server Desolation has always been and left to seek more security on a well established server. This left us in the end with 5 key WvW Guilds at the time: [GoD] [INVI] [TLA] [CS] and [EXG]. Our activity was low, friendlies were gone and we had enough people to just fill 1,5 map during prime (not even talking about off-hours or night time even).

If those Guilds leaving was not enough, other servers had a mission to take down Desolation completely and started DDOSing our Community TeamSpeak server, website and forums which were down for nearly 2 weeks. The end of the server was near, confusion and doubts.

From this moment onwards, we had to be realistic. We knew what Vizunah was all about. Truth be told, as everyone knows, Desolation has been famous for it’s great and strong PVE Community. Sure, I knew those guys would hit WvW but the impact it truly had was beyond my imagination. The amount of numbers we received was crazy. With this, Ins started a brand new WvW Guild to train and welcome the new guys and thus, they tended to stick to WvW where Desolation crawled back up from a third time close to Free Fall and shined bright like a diamond once again.

I understand that there are servers out there who cannot fight the coverage Desolation puts out. Though, there are always ways to fight against it. We did it against Vizunah back in time with only 1/4 of our numbers. Sure, Coverage is important but having brains is king. Be creative, challenge yourself and you can get there.

Im not asking for sympathy or trying to pity myself for what happend. However, I do care about the pointless discussion other guilds bring up which I used to respect. Quite sad.

@Lotus – as I told your leader the other night, we are unsure to be able to muster our numbers for wednesday as your leader was rather late replying towards our request and thus having no time to properly organise my guys.

Resouled explained it properly. We don’t have the luxury unlike you guys to run with massive numbers, yet. We’ll meet again, thats for sure, be it GvG or open field battles and we promise it will be quick .

Been a great evening with our 12 guys on Deso and Fort Ranik Border. Massive numbers which seemed to come from every corner. Thanks for the fights and many lootbags <3 Getting ready for you Inc! Can’t wait to meet you guys at the south camp this week, going to be fun!

You know, i will be the best jumper in the world after each time i was chased through whole map and ganked by group of ppl (especially guildgroup).

There is no prestige to get either as a guild. The game is called Guild Wars and yet what does the game advocates? Those poorly done Guild Missions where people outside of your guild can jump in at any time to kitten things over? Where are the Guild Halls? Rankings? GvGs? Proper PvP? Then I’m not even talking about the General Guild System yet who lacks a ton of features to manage it.

The game is a year old and yet in such an early stage with so much kitten lacking, it’s not even funny. I moved on into the GvG scene with my guys and WvW has always been my drive to continue. But with superior and competitive games coming up, I am unsure how long we can last when nothing is being done to improve the game.

Face it, nobody cares about the Living Story Roleplaying kitten, nor about those achievements or a crap league. We are looking for something that meets the more competitive players. Think about a real PvP system, Halls, Prestige such as Capes in GW1 and what not. I understand coding takes a long time, been there myself, but putting 80% of your guys on Living Story instead of actually dropping these guys on the forums to listen what their customers actually want is a big no-no!
