It is hard to come to any other conclusion
I totally agree, but there I a lot about this game that feels hollow
Been seeing the same bots for weeks in southsun shores. Some they hired professionals to address this I’d hope to not see them. Drops there for me are still bad, even rotating out if the zone after an hour of hunting and waiting till the next day to come back
The problem with open world at high levels is that they simply make the areas nasty unpleasant and full of undead and more undead. Yawn.
The losers here are legit players. The winners here are the bots and the gem store. I can spot a bot pretty quickly, and thousands of people did not pay me $60 each to do so.
I see the same bots week after week even after reported.
Ok, so now it’s switching back and people are noticing odd bot behaviour and reappearances. Which should mean a reinstatement of certain types of mats and other drop rates soonish to get the tp supply cycle rolling again… I really hope I’m wrong about what they are doing here. Would be nice to not have base tactic cynicism superceded (merriam-webster approved variant) yet again.
The bots in Southsun Shores are dominating..warping all over the map and making hunting difficult. I have taken to the water, but now I am seeing them there too.
Well I’ve managed to get to 80, got myself a rare set (after selling all my rare mats) and now I’m done.
I’m an open world PvE junkie and I love me my grinds. I’m at my happiest just wombling around whacking creatures with my hammer and stealing their goodies. Now Anet has decided I’m not allowed to play that way so I’m out till they sort their kitten out.
I’m the kind of guy that has a decent disposable income and I am willing to blow my hard earned on Gems just to support a good product and I game I want to play. GW2 has become neither of those things.
I said in a earlier post that I wont be nickle and dimed and I meant it. I’ll keep an eye on the forumsto see if Anet owns up to the stealth nerf and fixes some of the Bugs and balance problems that have plagued GW2 since release. As of now this game goes on the “Fail” pile along with WAR, DCUO, Swtor and D3
To all those still playing and holding in there I wish you all the best of luckThanks for posting. I too play the way you do, it’s sad that those of us with the wanderlust are punished this way. Hopefully we’ll get an answer or a patch soon or both.
Agree 100%. The only difference between farming dungeons or open world mobs is I prefer one over the other…both should be viable options to slowly build reasonable “middle class” wealth in this game. I have killed many dozens of veterans and seen MOST drop NOTHING. Do they want a pay to win game, ala the Gem Store?
I have killed lots of vets in Sunstone with zero drops, and zero drops on about 55% of the regular mobs (with 70%MF). If I am reading in these forums that someone suggests 250% MF, I am really confused about basic math. Wouldn’t anything above 100 be a waste?
I don’t craft everything I need int he game, and enjoy hunting mobs for drops, or “farming” as it is called. That seems in keeping with the game mechanics to me.
I don’t really like the new drop rate (is is real, not perceived) and I do not like DR. It is a lazy way to render bots slightly less effective.
They need to address this ASAP.
I feel the same, I rolled a warrior and the damage is insane. Utility schmutility…warrior has plenty. I typically always play ranger type classes, and love pet classes, it is a shame. But my ranger will gather dust, no harm no foul I suppose, of course I did not have as much time and blood into my lvl 80 ranger as OP.
My record is killing 6 mobs in a row without even a trash drop. There are enough money sinks in this game to “control” us non-bots, from the cut that Anet collects out of the trading post, to the repair bills, and waypoint travel. I don’t need a rare drop all the time but I would like to get something for at least most of my mob kills so I can sell stuff or find crafting mats.
Now I am fighting the bots in the new area for mobs and it makes it even more frustrating.
Not asking for much, but increase drop rate of basic loot or something, so we can “sell junk” and make a silver or 3 after killing dozens of mobs.
