I really like your idea. I’ve been trying to come up with a new class too and my idea was a druid-like warrior, but your idea is better imo. Let me just see if i got this right, F1 is Empower Earth, F2 is Empower Death and F3 is Empower Chaos right? If so, would these skills have cooldown? How many slots would it have? Would it reset after combat? without those the class might seem overpowered.
I really like guild gameplay. Specially when you’re part of good and helpful guild.
But i’d really like to see more guild related content in the game(it is called Guild Wars after all). So here’s my list of ideas, if any of them has already been suggested i’m sorry. None of these ideas are carved in stone so please help with your suggestions as well. And sorry for the huge post every one.
1 – Guild Halls
I know these are a well known feature in Guild Wars 1 and it is most certainlly coming but i think it should be more than just a place to have fun with your guild mates. It should be a place you always want to go and do different kinds of stuff so here’s how i think it shoul be:
Guild Halls should not be instanced, they should take place inside a small city or village that already exists in the world, you would enter it like you enter the orders HQs. Why? First, it looks really cool to be out there in the world and you see your Guild Hall and you guild’s emblem all over a town. Second, both the guild and the town would benefit from it. The city would be protected by the guild members most of the time and the guild members would get benefits like selling stuff for more money.
“But there’ll be no place for every single guild in high populated servers” it’s what you are thinking. That’s why guild would be able to compete for those places. A guild that doesn’t have a open world guild hall would have an instanced one. If they want those benefits they challenge a guild that already has it for the dominion of the city. The challenge would take place in an instanced area so there can be no interference from outsiders. and it would work like fighting over a keep or tower in WvW.
Other benefits from guilds being inside cities would be guild jobs( have to think of a better name. Inside the Guild Hall there would be a job board where people from the city you are located would post daily job requests for the guild members to take. These jobs would be divided into three tiers.
Tier 1 jobs – Would trigger an event chain in the world so anyone can participate, but members of the guild would recieve slightly increased rewards and the guild would get a small amount of influence. There would be about four or five of these jobs daily.
Tier 2 jobs – Would be instance like a story event(maybe even have some cutscenes) and you would nedd a group of five to ten people. Here’s an example: Once the job is taken and the group is set, you are taken to a cutscene where a man comes inside your guild hall and says the centaurs kidnapped his daughter. So you and your guild mates would be led like it happens in the story events. Players would be rewarded with a fair amount of money, influence and there would be a chest in the end.
Tier 3 jobs – Would work like the tier 2 but much bigger and would require a group of 10 to 15 people. These events could take place inside the an instance mini dungeon. This would be an option for people who want instaced content for large groups of people.
2 – Guild Upgrades
When we get guild halls there should be a whole lot of guild upgrades like having crafting stations inside the guild hall, a free waypoint, buying a trining ground for the spvp guilds.
What do you guys think?
I really like your video. I’m running a power-crit build with nades myself. One really useful tip: Net your target before you use grenade barrage, you’ll get a sure full hit. I easily get 7k-8k with the barrage if the target isn’t a bunker, if it is i get “only” 4k. Engineers are a really versatile and fun class, i guess people just need to be a little more creative.
I’ve seen some posts where people complain about this system and the lack of a healer class, specially in dungeons. Seems to me that you are looking at this game from the wrong perspective. GW2 system is much more similar to dungeon action games than classic mmorpgs. Why? Because you can dodge, interrupt your foe, hide behind structures ( this might be essencial in some boss fights), and sometimes block. You don’t get the huge 247 combos or the jump attacks and stuff but the ways things work is really similar. You don’t have a healing class in GW2 because there’s no place for it in this tipe of game. You don’t see people who are just spamming heals in Vindictus or Dragon Nest. Every class is dps so there are no classes that depend on the team to work. Try to see it this way and you’ll see that healing classes are not really necessary.
About the dungeons being just dps runs, have you ever played the Cruscible of Eternity? Every single boss in that dungeon(exept for alpha, just dodge and hit that thing) has a different strategy. and trust me if you try to simply dps the giant in the first path you’ll spend a really nice time(1h 40min) hitting him for 30 or 50.
This has been discussed for some really long time now. There was another huge post about it and Anet decided that it was illegal. don’t download or use it just yet. Let’s just hope they decide to put it into the game. Until then it is illegal and you might get banned.
I,ve posted this on another thread, but a really awesome race to play and learn about would be the Largos. I mean, see how baddass these guys look?

I really like the idea of an underwater race with an underwater starting area, but it wouldn’t work with the quagans nor the krait. maybe the largos? the look really cool and they are a new race. can’t be that hard to make some background for them. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Largos.jpg
This is so awsome!!!!
You have to implement this, it can’t be that hard.
