Thanks for posting these, I always spam my matchup thread with them.

Soon we’ll evolve into using the word blob instead of zerg, then we know we’ve made it.

I for one enjoyed having an actual balanced week for once, and I got a good variety of play (solo and group). Hope everyone else had fun too! :>

I did have some fun this week, though more smaller scale. A shout out to OBZ (I think that’s the tag), enjoyed fighting you guys and always a pleasure with Arborstone. They have some well mannered players. I like. :>

Every WvW session can’t be good, but if you don’t try you’ll miss out on the good times. Today wasn’t the best day ever of this matchup so far. There was only Drakkar groups smaller than us and then the 40+ zerg that kept finding us. They chased us so much Arborstone took bay off them. But! Sunday was a great day. We had a really fun battle at our Garrison and Bay.

On topic, I’m not sure how I feel. My server only had it’s first win ever recently and it took a server losing most of it’s guilds to happen.

FoW is used to having PvE guys swarming in, don’t worry! :> We had to face that kind of situation for months on end in T9.

The same thing used to happen when we were losing in T9. Not long ago Drakkar was pushing Arborstone’s Garrison hard and ignored us and we had hills and our spawn tower for a long time. We even had a few fights around the Garrison.

It’s just how it goes when one server is stomping the other two.

Edit: In fact the same happened when we were winning in T9.

Drakkar is obviously way out of our league. I mean the amount of scouting they do is insane. On reset we tried taking the breakout tower in Arborstone BL and a few minutes later 40~50 Drakkar turned up out of no where! Crazy. Seigerazer capped the tower on his own I think though, a bit of a ‘wtf’ moment. Speaking of reset, we tried to get hills in Arbor BL so so so bad. One time we were one tick away from capping!

Since FoW and Vabbi are always together, you can check out just how well both servers have been doing before WSR lost it’s guilds. FoW and Vabbi are the best matched servers for you now.

I always wondered what the name was in english. I wasn’t disapointed. And they’re only a small guild as far as I know, I just like calling everyone blobs. Just like that disgusting Jd blob that rolls around, eww.

I know right. Since I really started paying attention to WvW we were red once when Xaoc went to Vabbi for like one week. Otherwise we’ve been blue for so long.

Word on the street is Jd are in the proccess of transfering their 150 members to Vabbi. I hear they have friends there. This will shake things up.

I can’t believe FoW is going to win for the first time ever. I have a feeling the summer holiday here is helping the score somewhat.

Great fun today, did some wiping and got wiped a fair share too. If I didn’t have to sleep I’d still be playing.

We used 5 Omegas for Lowlands, is that enough?

I had a feeling other guilds would possibly move as well. I did’t think just WBC leaving would balance T9. Or maybe I’m underestimating your impact. I do know you’re main WvW guild.

You’re transfering after being matched with us twice? I feel like a god, an angry god. /rubs hands together.

The server with surprising numbers was Vabbi for me. I heard they got transfers? If it makes it a three way fight I’m for it. Getting transfers that play when I can’t see them, but see their effect on the score isn’t as good imo. :p

Had some great fights in EB yesterday.

I’ve started making the threads only because I don’t want to see one mid week where the OP is complaining about loosing or whatever. And is using the matchup title to mask their complaint. Does that make sense? Aslong as a thread gets started at the start of the week and is positive then I don’t mind who starts. Then we can be at each other throats for the rest of the thread. Drama in T9!? I never thought I’d see the day!

I half expected to get Ring of Fire again.

I want FoW and Vabbi to be competitive with the servers ranked a few places above us (WSR/BT). So T9 no longer exists in it’s current state.

It’s too late, they already did. I need time to recover from having my virginity taken. It’s not like the other time I lost my virginity and lost the ability to predict which server we would face.

Some pretty good fights in FoWBL the little bit I played! The WSR guys didn’t give up even though we started to outnumber them. <3

Edit: I’m not sure what the commander who left our BL to take Vabbi’s was thinking really. Stoping the upgrades in the green BL/EB seems like a smarter idea to me, but is probably not as smart as I think.

I saw a few weeks ago there was some internal drama around your WvW guilds? Though my view is wonky, I always admired TEO/WBC and other guilds I’ve forgotten. It really has been awhile.

It was announced on the forums, which is how I found out. I think it was also announced in team chat, but I have a terrible memory. I agree about the organisation, on FoW anyway. There’s some under the hood though.

I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn’t for that meddling Charr. There was no one from any server on EB, so I thought why not. I probably would have made a mess of the Lord fight though, and taken too long. I had a pretty long fight with an ele and a lowbie mesmer, in which I should have focused the lowbie since it made fighting the ele annoying. I disconnected which was annoying. :/

After I took a peek at how big the Vabbi night group was, from the safety of a cliff.

You had some pretty nice sized zergs today at various times in the day, but of course we’re still bigger. There was some guild events today in WvW for us I think. So numbers might be a bit wonky. I think it would be fun if we had similar sized groups (multiple groups so I can enjoy smaller scale.) on at the same time. Imagine that, with a close score. That’s really the only reason I would transfer, for the excitement of a close week.

I suppose we’ll have to see how things turn out in the end, I’m hopeful. I might come to your BL and have my kitten handed to me and have some fun with people I’ve never seen before.

Edit: Yeah, I didn’t mean a true alliance, but as you say, give the greenie a harder time. We had a commander join us from RoS not long ago, he had a real impact. Commanders are actually trying some basic battle tactics instead of just being a blob with no focus. I hope the momentum keeps going for both of us.

I had a thought. Morale on Vabbi is high at the moment yes? I hope it stays high after the people leave (I assume?). Why? For a long time FoW has had no competion. We can never beat the green server, but at the same time Vabbi was never a threat. Now we have competion after so long, and it’s going to take some adjusting too. Changing how you think takes time.

Having barely fought Vabbi it’s like having a new server to fight imo. As of right now Vabbi is stronger than us due in part to the night capping, but I saw a 35~ man zerg on EB earlier too. I hope FoW rises to the challenge and Vabbi stays around this strength and we can finally have an exciting matches, even if it’s just FoW vs Vabbi for second. Or fighting who ever is green in a loose ‘alliance’.

Very similar to us, though we have more presence in other maps at times too. When we cap our BL everyone moves to EB or something. Before we’ve capped the last thing people will be asking in map chat ‘where next?’. Then they attack Stonemist and BT comes…

The group I took a screenshot of had a fair few players I’d assume were new to WvW, which is good. I hope they stay when things aren’t looking so peachy.
